I do not have that "Firefox Tab" in the top left corner of my browser like it is shown in the video. Why is my version of 4.0 different than the demo version?

After watching the demo video today, I noticed that my browser does not look like the one depicted in the video. For instance, there is no "Firefox" tab in the upper left corner like on the video.

The new interface is only default on Windows Vista and Windows 7. To get it on Windows XP you need to hide the menu bar. To do that in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on the "Menu Bar" entry.
If you need access to the menus you can press either Alt or F10 to temporarily display them.

• How do i get the firefox button to appear (top left corner) ??

i have downloaded the newest version of firefox on my work computer... the new firefox button in the top left corner does not appear... how do i get it ??? ....i have firefox on all other (home) computers & its there on all of them !!!
firefox is awesome !!!!!

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar).
You can hide or make the Menu bar visible via View > Toolbars, also accessible via Firefox > Options.
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or tap the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.

• I am trying to load Firefox Sync but I do not have a Firefox button at the top of my page. How do I get to options?

I want to load current bookmarks to a new computer and then have those bookmarks available on multiple computers. I've read the tutorial on Firefox Sync, but I do not see a Firefox button on my page. How do I get to options?

Never mind. Found it. I did not have my menu toolbar clicked when I installed the new version.

• Firefox is locked in top-left corner of my screen, missing Title bar

FF 11.0 The menu bar is displayed but disabled (greyed-out), and I can't Min or Max FF (no buttons). Presumably I could Alt-F4 it, but I don't want to, I just want to be able to move it again. This seems to have happened as a result of accidentally depressing some sequence of keys on the left side of the keyboard. I had to start a new instance of FF to access Help. Any ideas?

Maybe you opened a website in a tab that has disabled some elements in the user interface.
You can try to open a new window (Ctrl+N) and if it works in that window then drag the open tabs to that window and close the not working window.

• After updating to the 4.0 beta 5 a few weeks ago, my PC reboots when down loading large amounts of email and or attempting to play a .wav video file. i did not have that issue prior to the upgrade.

Having used the beta 4 version of Firefox, the screen pop up kept insisting to upgrade to the 4.0 beta 5 version. I finally went ahead and did the update, and have had the above issue since.

Firefox 4.0 has not been in Beta testing for months now as it was released back in April and you appear to be posting with Firefox 5.0
Are you using the Firefox 5.0 which was released June 21 and is at www.mozilla.com ?
As for the sudden reboots well it could likely be a issue with hardware or dirver (for graphics card for example) or even a runlevel software as a application like Firefox itself does not cause Windows to reboot.

• I don't have a Firefox Tab. Instead I still have remnants of the old Firefox tabs in my upper left corner (file, edit, view, history, etc.). I also don't have a home button or a private browsing botton in my toolbar, do I need to install these my self?

My operating system is windows vista. I update my Adobe plugins to be current. What else should I do?

It had a tool bar at the top with File, Edit, View, History, bookmarks, etc.
Right-click an empty area of the tab bar and check "Menu Bar".
Your bookmarks are accessible from the Bookmarks button on the navigation toolbar. It's the wide button on the right side of the address bar with a star to its left.
Your history is accessible from the History button under the ≡ Menu Button panel. You can right-click an empty area of the tab bar and choose Customize, then drag the History button onto the navigation toolbar if you like (that's the area with the Back/Forward buttons and the address bar).
If you'd like to completely revert Firefox's appearance, install the Classic Theme Restorer add-on and restart Firefox when prompted.

• I do not have a Sync tab in my options box. Do I need an updated version of Firefox?

I would like to sync my Droid to my laptop, however, I do not have a "Sync" tab in the options box. Do I need an updated version of Firefox?

Does this app not provide a video on how to sync it with itunes and then sync it to your phone.
If you have transfer the ringtone to your computer, play the ringtone - then it should move to your tones folder in itunes. Just make sure when you play the ringtone it's plays in itunes.

• I do not appear to have the "main" Firefox tab in the top left corner to enable me to clear history. I have reinstalled FF but it is still not there.

In the Firefox help video they show a Firefox icon in the very top left of the window. This is a drop down tab where one of the items is the clear history option. I do not have this tab and have tried reinstalling Firefox but it is still not there. On the video it is shown above the File / Edit / View etc options.

If you don't have the Firefox button, you're using the classic view. To restore the new view of Firefox (Changed in Version 4):
* View > Toolbars > Menubar [Uncheck]
In Firefox 6 you can use this to clear your history/other offline content:
Click on the Firefox button on top left part of your browser:
* History > Clear Recent History
There you can select what you want to clear.
If you want to see the menu bar you can press alt on your keyboard so you can see file/view/...
Also for activating it to always be there follow this (Classic view of Firefox):
* Firefox > Options > Menu Bar
Don't forget to hit the 'Solved it' button if this solved your problem so the topic will be closed.

after upgrading to mountain lion, i find that my mail app does not have a "VIP" Tab. Was wondering if anyone else has this issue and what it is about?

First, select sender(s) as VIPs. Then the VIP category will appear.
To select a sender as a VIP, open an email from that sender, then hover over their name and a star icon will appear to the left. Click the star, and that sender will be set as a VIP (and the category will appear in the pane on the left).

• After Firefox has been on for awhile, the Firefox tabs on the task bar disappear even though the pages are still running. I have to use Ctrl+Tab to fix it

I have started using Firefox recently. My computer is running XP. I notice that whether I have one Firefox window or multiple windows open, after awhile the Firefox tabs on the bottom task bar just disappear.
In order to get them back I have to use Ctrl+Tab to select each window one at a time and then they re-appear again on the task bar. Then after awhile they will disappear again.

I am trying to move my library and playlists to a new computer by burning to CD's. However, I followed the directions by going to File and then Library - then they said to go to burn CD(s) - I DO NOT have that option for some reason. How do I do this? I have done the library sharing thing but I am getting rid of my primary computer and am afraid I will lose the library.

To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine:
Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network,Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
Then hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
and select the Library that you moved. That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else.
Your first option didn't work because you imported one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.
Your second option didn't work because you simply referenced her library on the old machine.

• SOs,AR Invoices, and Delivery Notes have empty "Logistics" Tab

Hi,
As the title says Sales Orders,AR Invoices, and Delivery Notes have empty "Logistics" tab "Ship To" and "Bill To" windows - the Ship to and Bill To addresses are filled in the BP Master Data but they do not populate the logistics tabs Ship To and Bill To windows in these documents?
Just to let you know that this is for only for new Business Partners as the old BPs seem to populate the logistics window automatically.
Any ideas ?
Thank you,

Hi Matthew,
The ST/BT address fields retain the information at the time the document was added. If there is no address then at the time the document was added, the address was set up.
You can update the fields after the document is added for some of them (the address field will be white; grey means you can't update the field) - click in the ST/BT drop-down. If there is no option available, check the BP's address(es) to make sure there is an address set up. If you do add an address, close the document and re-open; the address should be available.
If there is no address in the drop-down and there is an address on the BP record, check other transactions to see if it's BP-specific or all documents are not picking up the BP address info.

I've lost the orange firefox tab with the arrow, that was in the top left corner: how do I get it back?

In current Firefox releases (29 and later), that have have the Australis user interface, the orange Firefox menu button has been replaced by the three-bar Firefox Menu button at the far right end of the Navigation Toolbar and this button is always visible, whether you have the menu bar visible or hidden
A consequence of this location is that you no longer can hide the Navigation Toolbar
*There is a star like button to the right end of the search bar on the Navigation Toolbar to bookmark the current web page and a "Show your bookmarks" button next to it to open the Bookmarks in a drop down menu.
You can find "Show All Bookmarks" to open the Bookmarks Manager (Library) at the bottom of this drop-down list
*It is still possible to have the menu bar visible via the right-click context menu on the toolbars to have menus like the Bookmarks menu
*
*If you bookmark a page then "Bookmark This Page" in the Bookmarks menu changes to "Edit This Bookmark"
