Why do I not get the checkout option for a pdf type document when clicking on the document link in the SharePoint workflow task?

We are trying to use workflows to review and edit pdf files in sharepoint 2010. We are having a couple of issues and am hoping someone has the answer.....
1) When myself and coworkers click on the pdf document in the library, we get the check out option as expected. However when we click on the document
link in a workflow task (on the sharepoint site), the pdf opens as a temporary file and we do not get the check out option. Why does this happen?????
2) The same thing happens when we click on the document link in the workflow task email; HOWEVER, one of our co-workers does get the
check out option when clicking on the link in the email task. Why would she get the checkout option using the email and not when clicking on the link in the task list on the sharepoint site ???? We have compared our internet settings and adobe
settings to ours and found no differences.
We are using Sharepoint 2010, Windows 7, IE8, Adobe Reader X or XI. Some of us have Adobe Pro X and have the same issues.

According to your post, my understanding is that you could not get the checkout option for a pdf type document when clicking on the document link in the SharePoint workflow task.
I try to reproduce the issue, however, no matter when I click the pdf type document in the library or click on the pdf document link in the workflow task email, it download the pdf doucment and then I can open it.
It will be better if you can descript how you
get the check out option as expected when you click on the pdf document in the library.
Then I upload a
word type document to the library, no matter when I click the word type document in the library or click on the word document link in the workflow task email, I can open the word document directly and get the check out option as expected.
I recommend to use the other type docuemts to check whether the check out option works.

You can't. Just let it happen and then restore the iPod from backup.
What you can do is to backup the iPod to iTunes and then turn wifi on and let iCloud erase the iPod.

OIM - How To not show the "Disable" option for a Resource object to a group

Hello there,
Is there anyway we can remove or don't show the option to "Disable" a already provisioned resource object ?
I have a requirement over here wherein there is no reason available to show the "disable" option out of the 3 available - "enable", "disable" and "revoke" for an already provisioned RO.
How can we remove it ? We don't want users belonging to a specific group see that option, at all.
Is there any menu item associated with it ? or is there any other way we can configure it ?
Please advise to the earliest.

Modify JSP:
And to do this just for a particular group, put your java code in JSP itself. This is the easiest approach.
Otherwise you can modify the action class to return two action forwards and then use two different JSP's.

On Firefox v.21, when I visit a web page that has an embedded video, I do NOT want it to play automatically. How do I turn this OFF?

I checked my options settings for applications, and all of the known apps that play various formats of video files appear to be set to 'Always ask'. This does not resolve this problem, however. If you have to ship your phone back to the US, then you will need to ship is to a friend or a relative who actually lives out there. You CANNOT ship it directly to Apple as they will not accept it. Send it to a relative or friend that you have there and if you don't have any, then you are out of luck as there is nothing that you can do.
That is why is was not really a good idea to purchase an iPhone is the US when you are ultimately going to use it in China. With no international warranty on the iPhone you are stuffed really. You should have bought it in China and then you would not be facing this problem.
Nothing you can do except get on a plane and fly to the US or send the phone to a friend or relative.

Additonally, at this point I really want to talk to someone who cares about how a customer like I might feel in such a situation and when I call corporate would like to talk to someone who is interested in hearing my input as it really sucks to think I really don't feel like going to the store anymore and would rather just buy stuff on amazon or newegg these days instead;/ When I know how much i used to enjoy going into the store and getting friendly with kind staff who worked with me to get the best deal on the items I got--perhaps this was because it was at a more desperate time when Best Buys fate as a company was more precarious prior to price matching taking origin. Also, on an aside, would like to add that obviously there is always the one or two people who go out of their way to make sure you have an excellent expeirenece so I am not trying to make any sweeping generalizations here. To assure that your first backup is over Ethernet I'd turn off AirPort until it's done. Check the order in the Network panel of System Preferences. I'd move the Ethernet connection item to the top of the list.

Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time. It will recognize the iTunes library on the PC as a new library. If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library. So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your PC first.

One resolution to your issue would be to update your iPhone using iTunes on your computer rather than over the air. This requires much less space on the iPhone as most of the work is done by the computer. See this article for how to do it -

When you say you do not have the setup option for Family Sharing, that seems like you log into the iCloud System Preference but the "Set Up Family" button is not there.
Is your Mac updated to Yosemite?

iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite are required to set up or join a Family Sharing group and are recommended for full functionality.
