I don't have any sound coming from my speakers after updating my HP Envy H8-1513C?????

Since I updated my HP Envy H8-1513C i don't have any sounds coming from my monitors. I also can't seem to get any sync cords for my iphone 4 to work with my computer. These always worked before the update???

I recommend going through the troubleshooting section in this document to see if any of that can resolve your issue.
Have you tried a hard reset yet?

Do you have sound coming from the audio output port using headphones?  If so, when the plug is pulled out, is there a red light?
You may need a PRAM reset:

  • Has anyone experienced a popping sound coming from their speakers after the upgrade to 10.8.5?

Has anyone experienced a popping sound coming from their speakers after upgrading to 10.8.5?  If you play something with sound (like iTunes or YouTube video) it goes away but then appears again after you wake up your computer from sleep.

    Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Preferences/Audio/com.apple.audio.SystemSettings.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected file to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password.
Reboot and recreate your settings in the Sound preference pane.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • HT4528 Since updateing with the new IOS 7.1 on my 4s, I have NO sound coming from my speakers or volume control, but I DO have sound when my phone rings.  How do we fix this problem?

I updated my phone last night with the new iOS7.1  my phone worked fine before updating.  Since updating, I have no sound from music or videos, but I do have sound when my phone rings.  anyone know how to fix this?  I have already done a restore that did nothing.

Clean iPhone charging port with toothbrush and small amount of isopropyl alcohol. If still problem the faulty part is charging port assembly with flex cable, lower mic, and connector of home button flex. Apple handles this problem with replacement iPhone 4S with Warranty or AppleCare coverage, if no coverage it is $199.

If you were looking for help, I assume you would have told us about your sound card, how your system is configured, whether you are using a desktop/window manager, which one, the articles in the wiki you have researched, and what you have tried.
Edit: I'm apparently in a bad mood.  I'm going to go outside and do some yard work. It is a beautiful 75 degree F day here in So Cal

I dont have any sound from my system, HCD HDX589W while watching tv. I put a CD in and it works fine. The sound from the tv was working fine yesterday but when I turned on the system today, it did not work.

    Hi law4003,
Please make sure all the jacks are properly inserted in all ports. Check also the SPEAKER SETTINGS in Audio Settings of your TV. Make sure EXTERNAL or AUDIO system is selected.

  • Low muffled sound coming from the speakers on IPod Touch

How can I resolve the low muffled sound coming from speakers on IPod Touch 4th generation?
Reset of apps was done and full reset of the IPod was done.

This is not normal and there is no solution you can administer from home without voiding any warranty you may have... i suggest taking it to your nearest apple store and letting them know, they are very good when it comes to these small problems and will most likely give you another iPod while they fix/throw away your old one... Do a backup first though, so you can load your files back onto the new one.

  • Sound coming from both speakers and headphones at the same time in probook 4440s

I have a Probook 4440s with windows 8 pro(64 bit) with IDT high definition codec installed. Yesterday when i was playing some songs i noticed that the sound was coming from both headphones and speakers even when my headphones are plugeed in and my lappy was having no such problems a few hours earliers while i was watching a movie. Please help..

It may be because you have both the internal speakers and headphones enabled at the sametime on your laptop. This might just happen automatically when you plug your headphones in. You need to manage your audio devices on your laptop.
Go to Control Panel> Hardware and Sounds> Manage Audio Devices> Playback Tab (which should already be selected)
In the playback tab there should be a list of all the audio devices you are using on your computer. Right click on the one you don't want to use and click disable. This should stop the sound coming from that audio device.
Remember: You will need to enable that audio device if you want to listen to sound through it again. Your internal speakers won't work once you enable them again. This might also be the case with your headphones. You may also have to do this every time your plug in a device or once you restart your computer.
Another note: Sometimes disabled devices will not show up on the audio device list so once you disable a device it will dissappear. This is an easy fix too. Just right click on an audio device and make sure show disabled devices and show disconnected devices is checked.
    I hope this helps.
(I was using a computer with Windows XP to explain the instructions but it should be similar with your Windows Operating System. You may however have to play around a little on your computer because it may be slightly different)

  • TS1292 Please help me for, I don't have any code to redeem applications or to update application

Please help me for I don't have any code to redeem application or update applications

What 'redeem code' are you expecting, and why do you think that you need one ? iTunes gift cards are country-specific (they can only be redeemed/used in the country in which they were issued), if they aren't available in your country then you won't be able to get one. You shouldn't need a gift code in order to update an app.
