You broke it, you will need to get it serviced or replaced. The drop voided your warranty so you would have to do an out-of-warranty replacement with Apple.

I recently upgraded to Mavericks and now don't have access to iphoto. I cannot find my iphoto library to back the photos up before upgrading the iphoto but see the photos when I try to change screensaver? Where are my photos so I can back them up?
The iPhoto library should be in your user folder/Pictures unless it was moved.

I have just set up icloud and all my contacts are duplicated from Address Book! My new iPhone is also showing duplicate contacts even though they are not duplicated in my address book on my computer. Please can you help?
Also, what are the source of your contacts? are they created on the phone, or you synced from yahoo/hotmail etc.
If thats the case, the circular arrow wont be visible but instead show "groups"

I have just updated my ipad2 to ios6.0.1 and now having problems with the MAPS APP. The standard view outlines the area, but it is blank, showing no text or roads. Anyone know how to solve this?
Have you tried a - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

downloaded ios7 & now cannot add events to my calendar, they do not appear on screen. SIRI tells me that they are there but I cannot see them. Advice pls?
In your calendars app, click the calendars button below and check if all the calendars are selected. Also click the search button on top(magnifying glass) and see if the events are listed.

My updates appeared in the list yesterday. As usual I pressed the update all request. But all have frozen, I have rebooted and deleted memory space but this has not made any difference. The updates included Dropbox, cloud on, hidden objects,calculator, twitter, box for iPod and iPad, the smurfs? Can any one help me please. I now cannot use any of them!

I have tried all the suggestions, I am unable to view itunes on my IPAD they do not look the same. However I have solved the problem by taking them out of the groups I had them in they updated! Never happended before but hey - i'm not complaining!

Did you try another restore and this time not to restore from a backup and see if that makes a difference? This is what Apple would tell you to do next based on my iphone 5 fiasco.
Make sure all your data is available on your computer for manual syncing later.
Since you did the hard reset I assume that means your home button isn't broken only that it got frozen before. Were you able to get the Apple logo after the reset? Did it boot?
And you are using iTunes 10.7?

A lot of my pictures are in I Photo and also in Finder. Can I delete them from finder? They are taking up a lot of room.
Just make certain that the "Originals" or "Masters" are in your iPhoto Library before you trash the images.
You can find out by selecting the iPhoto Library file with the control key held down, then open the Library (which is, actually, a folder). You'll see a folder named "Originals" or "Masters" and you can check there to make certain that you have all of the high-res images in your iPhoto Library. If you do, you can safely trash the original files, although I would, if it were me, make an archive of the images before trashing (either on an external HD or on archival DVDs).

She is making in app purchases. Probably not knowing what that means to your monthly credit card bill. Use the Settings app to enable restrictions and turn on restrictions for iTunes, App Store and in app purchases, mabe some others too. The restrictions will be set with a passcode to prevent your daughter from changing them.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
