I gave my iPhone 3GS to my husband; he put in his SIM card, but still has all my apps. How do I transfer them to my 4S

I gave my iPhone 3GS to my husband (removed my SIM card). He put in SIM card from his old phone.  All my apps are still on this phone.
Went to iTunes to sync with my 4S - everything find except for apps, which did not appear on the 4S.
Looking for advice on what to do next.

Hello Carolefromoakville,
When in iTunes syncing your 4S, here is what you can do to get your Apps back. First, you will want to make sure your iPhone is plugged in to your computer, then open iTunes.
1. Select the iPhone in the upper righthand corner of your iTunes window.
2. Select the "Apps" tab along the top
3. All of your downloaded apps should be listed there. Click the "install" button for any apps you wish to install
4. Click "Sync"
That should do it for you! If for some reason your Apps are not listed (step 3 above), do the following:
5. Click the "Done" button in the righthand corner
6. Go to the iTunes store, also in the righthand corner
7. On the righthand side of your screen, there will be an area titled "Quick Links". Select "Purchased" from this menu (you have to be logged into iTunes in order for this to work)
8. Select the "Apps" tab
9. In the bottom righthand corner, select "Download All"
10. After the apps have finished downloading, follow steps 1-4 again, and you should have your apps back
