I have a problem synching calendar data between my iPhone 3GS iOS 5.1 & Outlook 2007 on MS7. The basic calendar data transfer is OK but the birthdays (little box icon) are a day early & cannot be changed to the correct date. The birthday entries in my Outlook contacts have correct dates.How can I fix this?
The following peocess corrects the calendar entry:
edit the contact & change the birthday, save the change; edit the contact & change the birthday to the correct value, save the change again. The calendar entry then displays on the correct date. Alternatively as a temp solution I can just de-select the "birthdays" calendar which stops the icon being displayed.
Thanks for your advice, I think that it's n going to be a slow process to fix all the entries for not much return. -
Can I get iphone 3gs if I just bought the 3G?
I bought the iphone 3G on May 21st and just found out the 3gs comes out on Fido June 19th. Since its been less than 30 days can I exchange the phone? I called Fido and the lady sounded like she didn't know what she was talking about. she said if its more than 15 days I can't exchange it. I'm going to call them back and speak to someone else. Just want to know if anyone knows anything about this?
It's not right for Apple to hide the release date of their new products. If they are going to do that, then they should let people who get screwed over exchange their phone for the new one. If you bought it at an Apple store (like I did), then you should reserve a new iPhone 3G S at buyiphone.apple.com and on June 19, go back to your Apple store with your month old phone, its packaging, accessories, and receipt and exchange it for your new iPhone 3G S. There will be a restocking fee of $20. I called my Apple store here in Michigan this morning and this is what they told me. But you have to act fast or the exchange cost goes up to about $600. The buyiphone.apple.com site is going through some maintenance for the next few hours, so you have to wait to determine your eligibility and reserve your phone.
I think Apple like AT&T is also offering a $100 refund if you want to keep your 3G, but I didn't pay much attention because I want the 3G S.

Try to download mp4 and quicktime wants to run it instead, how do I stop this?
I have several sites where I download weekly and monthly videos, but after installing Quicktime, it wants to run them now instead when I click the download link. The only way I have found to prevent this is to disable the plugin, but that is a pain, because I installed it so I could go to a guitar training site that uses midi.
If I set it to "Save File" in Firefox>Tools>Options>Applications, it still does no good, the plugin has to be disabled, or Quicktime will play it instead of letting me download it.
I know I can right click and select "Save As", but I shouldn't have to do this, I want the Fox to work the way it is suppose to!

First and foremost, I have to remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported. On top of this, it has known unpatched bugs and security problems. I urge you to update to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum security, stability, performance and usability. In any case, and since you seem to be in the process of updating (you should have done so a while ago, since Firefox 2.0 has been discontinued years ago, I believe), your problems may exist because you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Because it says there are no new updates available, i cannot update my mac to newer software - as such, i then cannot update my itunes, and now cannot sink my iphone 5 to my computer
when i download sofware updates (like mountain lion, and itunes 10.7) direct to my computer, it says - cannot install as this update requires software 10.6.8.. but i cannot update to that software!

Yes - I connected my phone to my computer / Itunes and went into the apps section, but from there I have no idea how to manage the push notifications. I even tryied going into itunes that is installed on my phone. I still cannot find anyplace to manage these popups. I have also gone into settings - notifiations - and tried turning all notifications for these apps all off but that didnt work either. Any guidance is MUCH appreciated - Im not sure where to go from here.
