I got ignored on "IE outlines navbar table, Safari and Firefox don't"

Zero replies since I posted this Feb. 16 so am trying once more.
"Navbar table isn't supposed to be outlined, but in IE an outline shows on top and on the right margin. http://starbrokerage.com/svcs_retail.htm Safari and Firefox handle it correctly. What am I doing wrong? (I couldn't find anything in forum search) Thanks."

<td><img src="images/spacer.gif" width="10" height="1" border="0" alt=""></td>
According to the code, the space where the white line appears should be filled with a spacer.gif from the images folder.
However there is no spacer.gif in the images folder on the server. You need to upload it.

  • IWeb-generated site OK in Safari and Firefox, but no NavBar in IE

    I created a site in iWeb and it displays fine in Safari and Firefox. However, the entire NavBar section is not displaying in Internet Explorer, despite loose permissions for running code in IE.
    The script section from one of the pages appears below, and any help or suggestions are much appreciated. I need to get this site up, and really need it to be accessible for IE users.
    Thanks.

    Are you using the navigation menu that comes with the page template? If so, it will not display on a PC with Internet Explorer unless javascript is turned on in the preferences. The template nav bars in iWeb use java and if this is not enabled on some computers, then it cannot be seen.
    What you can do so that it will show up in IE, is to create your own text based navigation bar instead - to do this, just open the Inspector and then go to Page - second choice in and click on the boxes which say hide navigation menu and then just create your own by using a text box, shape or whatever. Don't forget to hyperlink to your pages though.

  • Table Definitions for Safari and Firefox

    All of the sudden my method to make a table 100% of the
    vertical height of a browser window in Safari and Firefox for the
    Mac has ceased to work. It works fine on PCs. I used both
    Dreamweaver and GoLive in my efforts. Anythougts on how to more
    appropriately or alternatively set this definition correctly?

    Here's the deal.
    A doctype on an HTML page tells the browser how to render the
    page. If
    there is no doctype, or if there is an invalid one, the page
    is rendered in
    quirks mode. If there is a valid doctype, the page is
    rendered in standards
    mode.
    DMX inserted a broken doctype on the page (i.e., functionally
    equivalent to
    no doctype). Earlier versions inserted NO doctype. Hence, all
    these pages
    are rendered in quirks mode.
    In quirks mode, the browser makes an attempt to render
    invalid HTML. Not
    all browsers attempt the same rendering - so you will see a
    variety of
    differences, comparing one browser to the next on the same
    page.
    In standards mode, the browsers all render the same (so they
    say - but in
    practice, while not true, it's much more uniform).
    Table height is invalid HTML. It always has been - it was
    never a part of
    HTML's specs.
    Browsers in quirks mode will try to render table heights.
    Browsers in
    standards mode willl not.

  • MacBook Pro (version 10.7.5) got some features such as toolbar, mail, safari and other only in English

    After installing the MacKeeper (now uninstalled) in my MacBook Pro (version 10.7.5) got some features such as toolbar, mail, safari and other in English (use in Portuguese - Brazil).
    I've already set the System and Preferences> Language & Text, for use in Portuguese, but still does not work.
    Someone know what should I do?

    Very strange problem (no surprise to you).
    I suggest you reset the SMC (and PRAM, if you are able). That cannot hurt and might help.

  • HTML table display issues in Safari and Firefox

    Hey,
    A few days ago, in both firefox and safari, i noticed that whenever i go to certain sites with (i'm assuming) what are HTML tables, they aren't displaying properly. The tables are going way bigger than they should.
    ex. When i go to craigslist.org and click on any link, each item on the page has way more space between lines than it should. To see what i mean check out these screen capture.
    http://www.killtheteleprompter.com/picture1.png
    http://www.killtheteleprompter.com/picture2.png
    Also, perhaps a related issue, in Firefox, the page scrolling isn't smooth anymore when i use my trackpad.
    I tried trashing the preferences for each browser in my library, to no avail. Any help would be awesome. thanks

    hey thanks. The links in the orgininal post are fixed. To view the difference, look at the captures, then type in the url that appears in the captures to see what it should look like.

  • HT4798 I would like to get rid of keychain entirely. When I first got my iMac I didn't have it and I don't know how I activated it but it is driving me crazy.

    When I got my iMac a few days ago it started instantly by showing the tool bar at the bottom and was ready to use. Somehow I have activated the monster known as keychain and my life has changed. How can I get this thing back into the bottle?

    TheEntireSky, that is actually a different problem, specifically related to Safari.
    Safari stores passwords for each site, unless you tell it not to. Some websites will place a cookie on your system that enables them to log in automatically. These are two separate functions. Each one can be removed or disabled separately.
    I suggest you post a new question describing what you want to do.

  • I got angry and erased both safari and firefox from my laptop. I am on my mom's computer now and I need to know how to get it back on my computer?

    Please help me figure out how to re-install either firefox or safari. I erased both of the applications and my laptop has no internet.

    I assume you say "no internet" access because of no browser.
    This terminal command will download Safari Version 5.0.5 to your home folder from terminal.app ( no browser)  copy and paste:
    curl -o Safari.dmg -R http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net/content.info.apple.com/Safari5/041-0564.20110413.Fi9pb/Safari5.0.5SnowLeopard.dmg
    note: you can cd to Desktop to download to Desktop instead of home folder, before you start the above download:
    cd to Desktop
    After download is complete click the .dmg and install as usual.

    Thanx again! now after i started up my mac with the safe boot i starts up awful, first after the gear below the apple logo stops and the charging bar that appear dissapear my mac puts on a white screen with nothing and the it goes nto the screen where i can log in ¡, after logging in my mac just kind of lags and in the middle of the screen appears some lines (kind of lag) that then dissapears. Also the safe boot red words that was on the top of my screen on the log in window dissapeared after logging in.
    So does i have to worry, or its normal. And now that i started up with safe mode does that mean that my mac is alright now? thank you for all of your time also !

  • Hi, I've got 5gb of 'other' content on my iphone and i don't know what this is or how to remove it?

    Just had my library transferred to a new PC, attempted to sync my iphone with itunes and there seems to be 5gb of 'other' content on my iphone?  I can't work out what this is, or how to manager/reduce it?

    I suspect you need to backup and then restore the device as this is generally the only way to clear up such data.
    Your library should contain all the media that is on the device. If for some reason that isn't so see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • I have got water damage in my iPod Touch 1G and I don't have a lot of money, so what can I do to get it fixed or get the water out or exchanged

    I really need a good answer anything I can do btw its a second hand purchase and is there any home remedies, ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!

    By the way, seal the rice bag with the ipod in it if you do it that way. But, I would let it dry for several days. If it was completery submerged I would blow more air on it. Only thing I would be afraid of is if water hasn't already gotten to the internal components, that the air might force it farther up. If it's not working,  I would definitely blow the air on it.

  • Stored Outlines & Restore Table Stats

    Hi all,
    I would like to know how restoring of table stats change execution plans when stored outlines are in place?
    DB version is 10.2.0.4.
    NAME                                 TYPE                             VALUE
    optimizer_dynamic_sampling           integer                          0
    optimizer_features_enable            string                           10.2.0.4
    optimizer_index_caching              integer                          0
    optimizer_index_cost_adj             integer                          65
    optimizer_mode                       string                           FIRST_ROWS_10
    optimizer_secure_view_merging        boolean                          TRUE
    query_rewrite_enabled                string                           TRUE
    star_transformation_enabled          string                           FALSE
    Following actions were done last month:
    1. dbms_stats.gather_table_stats(schema IMANAGE, Table DIT_TRUSTEE)
    2. dbms_stats.lock_table_stats(schema IMANAGE, Table DIT_TRUSTEE)
    3. Once the desired execution plan for Query 1 (e.g. sql_id=ah8nzqhyu7xh4) was in V$SQL and was used by query, I created a Stored Outline using DBMS_OUTLN.create_outline, and enabled outline by setting use_stored_outlines to the desired outline category.
    4. Every thing remained fine for almost 30-35 days
    Today, there was another query (e.g. sql_id=7anr84k12d5rt, using same DIT_TRUSTEE table) whose  query plan got changed. This query didn't have any stored outline in place and was performing without any problem earlier. So, I gathered stats for the same table (DIT_TRUSTEE) after unlocking its stats. It didn't help. So, I thought to restore old stats against which query used to perform better while also rebuilt some indexes. After the restore of table stats (DIT_TRUSTEE) to a date which was earlier than the date of creation of 1st stored outline, the execution plan of query 1 (e.g. sql_id=ah8nzqhyu7xh4) got changed. Can we know the reason why it got changed? I was under the impression that any change in stats doesn't impact the execution plan if stored outline is in place for a query. But it looked like this wasn't the case.
    It would be good if someone can explain or share their experiences.
    regards,
    Anjum

    I didnt want the query to use index DIT_TRUSTEE_TST1_IDX as it performs bad for the customer as compare to index IX_DIT_TRUSTEE_6
    The question arises here is that can we force an index to be used as part of stored outline because when we created outline, it was using index IX_DIT_TRUSTEE_6.

  • Needing wisdom re NetBeans Outline ("tree table") component

    Greetings all,
    I realise I should be posting this on a netbeans forum, and I have already done so, but no-one seems to want to reply over there... :-< So I'm hoping someone here has some relevant experience with this component.
    I have two questions:
    1. Has anyone managed to get notifications when the user edits a node in the tree part of the treetable? I can get the nodes to be editable, I can type in a change to the text there, but I'm not getting any notification of the change! I have tried registering the Outline model as a TreeModelListener and implementing treeNodesChanged(). I have tried registering the Outline as a TableModelListener and implementing tableChanged(). Nothing is working: I don't get the notifications. Does some kind person have some sample code, or a pointer to some, which would get me going in the right direction? Unless absolutely necessary I would rather not post my code, since it's "complicated"... ;->
    2. Can anyone confirm whether this component supports drag 'n' drop? I haven't even started on that journey yet, so knowing "yes" or "no" would be very helpful.
    Grateful thanks, as always, for any and all help :->

    (Responding to my own thread in case the following is of use to someone else someday...)
    Here is how to get this to work:
    private class TreeTable extends Outline implements TableModel
      public void setValueAt(Object aValue, int rowIndex, int columnIndex)
        NodeObjectType node= (NodeObjectType) getPathForRow(rowIndex).getLastPathComponent();
        System.out.println("The user has finished editing the node.");
        System.out.println("Old value: " + node.toString());
        System.out.println("New value: " + aValue);
      public TreePath getPathForRow(int rowInUI)
        int row = convertRowIndexToModel(rowInUI);
        if (getLayoutCache() != null)
          return getLayoutCache().getPathForRow(row);
        else
          return null;
    }where NodeObjectType is the object that you are using for each node of the tree.
    I haven't yet gone into drag 'n' drop, so I can't advise anything on that one. TIA still for tips & pointers with that :->

  • Unicode export:Table-splitting and package splitting

    Hi SAP experts,
    I know there are lot of forums related to this topic, but I have some new questions and hence posting a new thread.
    We are in the process of doing unicode conversion in our landscape(CRM 7.0 system based on NW 7.01) and we are running on AIX 6.1 and DB2 9.5. The database size is around 1.5 TB and hence, we want to go in for optimization for export and import in order to reduce the downtime.As a part of the process, we have tried to do table-splitting and parallel export-import to reduce the downtime.
    However, we are having some doubts whether this table-splitting has actually worked in our scenario,as the export has exeucted for nearly 28 hours.
    The steps followed by us :
    1.) Doing the export preparation using SAPINST
    2.) Doing table splitting preparation, by creating a table input file having entries in the format <tablename>%<No.of splits>.Also, we have used the latest R3ta file and the dbdb6slib.o(belonging to version 7.20 even though our system is on 7.01) using SAPINST.
    3.) Starting with the export using SAPINST.
    some observations and questions:
    1.) After completion of tablesplitting preparation, there were .WHR files that were generated for each of the tables in DATA directory of export location. However, how many .WHR files should be created and on what basis are they created?
    2.) I will take an example of a table PRCD_CLUST(cluster table) in our environment, which we had split. We had 29 *.WHR files that were created for this particular table. The number of splits given for this table was 36 and the table size is around 72 GB.Also, we noticed that the first 28 .WHR files for this table, had lots of records but the last 29th .WHR file, had only 1 record. But we also noticed that, the packages/splits for the 1st 28 splits were created quite fast but the last one,29th one took a long time(serveral hours) to get completed.Also,lots of packages were generated(around 56) of size 1 GB each for this 29th split. Also, there was only one R3load which was running for this 29th split, and was generating packages one by one.
    3.) Also,Our question here is that is there any thumb rule for deciding on the number of splits for a table.Also, during the export, are there any things that need to be specified, while giving the inputs when we use table splitting,in the screen?
    4.) Also, what exactly is the difference between table-splitting and package-splitting? Are they both effective together?
    If you have any questions and or need any clarifications and further inputs, please let me know.
    It would be great, if we could get any insights on this whole procedure, as we know a lot of things are taken care by SAPINST itself in the background, but we just want to be certain that we have done the right thing and this is the way it should work.
    Regards,
    Santosh Bhat

    Hi,
    First of all please ignore my very first response ... i have accidentally posted a response to some other thread...sorry for that
    Now coming you your questions...
    > 1.) Can package splitting and table-splitting be used together? If yes or no, what exactly is the procedure to be followed. As I observed that, the packages also have entries of the tables that we decided to split. So, does package splitting or table-splitting override the other, and only one of the two can be effective at a time?
    Package splitting and table splitting works together, because both serve a different purpose
    My way of doing is ...
    When i do package split i choose packageLimit 1000 and also split out the tables (which i selected for table split)  into seperate package (one package per table). I do it because that helps me to track those table.
    Once the above is done i follow it up with the R3ta and wheresplitter for those tables.
    Followed by manual migration monitor to do export/import , as mentioned in the previous reply above you need to ensure you sequenced you package properly ... large tables are exported first , use sections in the package list file , etc
    > 2.) If you are well versed with table splitting procedure, could you describe maybe in brief the exact procedure?
    Well i would say run R3ta (it will create multiple select queries) followed by wheresplitter (which will just split each of the select into multiple WHR files)  ...
    Best would go thought some document on table spliting and let me know if you have specific query. Dont miss the role of hints file.
    > 3.) Also, I have mentioned about the version of R3ta and library file in my original post. Is this likely to be an issue?Also, is there a thumb rule to decide on the no.of splits for a table.
    Rule is use executable of the kernel version supported by your system version. I am not well versed with 7.01 and 7.2 support ... to give you an example i should not use 700 R3ta on 640 system , although it works.
    >1.) After completion of tablesplitting preparation, there were .WHR files that were generated for each of the tables in DATA directory of export location. However, how many .WHR files should be created and on what basis are they created?
    If you ask for 10 split .... you will get 10 splits or in some case 11 also, the reason might be the field it is using to split the table (the where clause). But not 100% sure about it.
    > 2) I will take an example of a table PRCD_CLUST(cluster table) in our environment, which we had split. We had 29 *.WHR files that were created for this particular table. The number of splits given for this table was 36 and the table size is around 72 GB.Also, we noticed that the first 28 .WHR files for this table, had lots of records but the last 29th .WHR file, had only 1 record. Also, there was only one R3load which was running for this 29th split, and was generating packages one by one.
    Not sure why you got 29 split when you asked for 36, one reason might be the field (key) used for split didn't have more than 28 unique records. I dont know how is PRCD_CLUST  split , you need to check the hints file for "key". One example can be suppose my table is split using company code, i have 10 company codes so even if i ask for 20 splits i will get only 10 splits (WHR's).
    Yes the 29th file will always have less records, if you open the 29th WHR you will see that it has the "greater than clause". The 1st and the last WHR file has the "less than" and "greater than" clause , kind of a safety which allows you to prepare for the split even before you have downtime has started. This 2 WHR's ensures  that no record gets missed, though you might have prepared your WHR files week before the actual migration.
    > 3) Also,Our question here is that is there any thumb rule for deciding on the number of splits for a table.Also, during the export, are there any things that need to be specified, while giving the inputs when we use table splitting,in the screen?
    Not aware any thumb rule. First iteration you might choose something like 10 for 50 GB , 20 for 100 GB. If any of the tables overshoots the window. They you can give a try by  increase or decrease the number of splits for the table. For me couple of times the total export/import  time have improved by reducing the splits of some tables (i suppose i was oversplitting those tables).
