I had to buy a new computer and had to open a new ITunes account is there anyway of merging the 2 accounts?

I recently had to buy a new computer and had to download ITunes again, it wouldnt let me open ity with my normal account so had to open a new one, because of this i cant back up my phone cause it doesnt says as the data is from another ITunes i will loose it all.  Is there anyway to merge the 2 accounts so i dont loose all my data when updating my phone?

There was no reason to start a new account.
You can certainly use your old account on any computer/device.
You cannot merge accounts.

http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.htm l. I think this is the link. However, you will need to use the new S/N if you need to do the activation. The Activation server for AA 7 was taken down. I am not sure this link is complete, but it might give you some idea. However, on WIn7 and newer, AA7 has problems and will only work with some workarounds, and then kind of clunky.

This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

  • I have a new computer and I can't access my Itunes account.  The message says that I am allowed to have only 5 authorized computers on this account.  I do not have 5 authorized computers on my account.  What can I do?

I have a new computer and I can't access my Itunes account.  The message says I can't have more than 5 computers on this account and I don't.  What can I do?

First of all you should really post this in Itunes forums cause you might get more hits on it.. Anyway.. You can only authorize up to 5 comps on one itunes account.. This does not include iOS devices. Those you can have 10.
So to fix this issue, open itunes, hit store on the left side, click log in (or your e-mail address if you are already logged in) in the top right hard corner of the page. One you log into your account you will see a a little area where it says you authorized 5 out of 5 comps. Below it should be a button to clear all those out.  Itunes will de-authorize all computers on the account then you need to go back Store tab in the menu bar and select authorize this computer.
Remember it will deauthorize all your computers, so you need to re-authorize any other computers you have.

  • Had to buy a new computer and not able to download my ITunes purchases

I had to buy a new computer and I am not able to download my old purchases. I didnt back up my purchases on my old laptop. What can I do to download my old purchases? Thank you

+I didnt back up my purchases on my old laptop.+
Woops, big mistake not backing up, since you only get ONE download from the store; no more downloads will be coming to your new PC.
Do you at least have your purchases on an ipod? You could authroize the new PC, then do itunes menu > file > transfer purchases from ipod.

  • I recently bought a new computer and had all my files moved to it. Now when I sync my iPad and iPod I get a message stating that some (41) of my items can not be copied to my PC because it is not authorized even though it is authorized on my account.

I recently got a new PC and had all of my files moved to it. However, when I sync my iPad and IPod nano I get a message that states that 41 of my items can not be copied to the PC because it is not authorized on my account even though it is. I have tried de-authorizing it and re-authorizing it but they still will not copy. Any thoughts on how I can get them to copy?

"Note: If you no longer have access to a computer that is using one of your authorizations, you can deauthorize all of the computers associated with your account by following the steps at the bottom of About iTunes Store authorization and deauthorization".
Authorize the new computer. Launch iTunes. Go to the menu bar click Store / Authorize This Computer.
    Sync your iPod.

  • HT4527 I have a new computer and all of my music from itunes is not showing how can I get it back? My old computer is fried. I had 5 authorazations so I deauthorized all then authorized my new computer. Please help

I have a new computer and after I downloaded iTunes my music library is empty. I had to deauthorize my last computers since I was at the 5 limit. How do I get my music?

Copy all of your music from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy, then you can redownload some itunes purchases in some countries.

I had to get a new computer and I can not move my new music to my ipod because it says I can only have one itunes library. I would have to erase my ipod to use this new itunes library. Any ideas?

Copy or move the entire iTunes media folder from the old computer or the backp of the old computer to the new computer.

  • I got a new computer and when i downloaded a new itunes to it i couldnt get my music back.. how can i get my music on my new itunes?

when i got the new computer i had to downlaod a new itunes library. on my backup hard drive is the old itunes library but it wont let me open it . how can i get my old music on the new itunes??

-Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    - iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer other music form iPod to computer by using a third-party program like one of those discussed here:
    Copy music
    - Then connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up.
    - Restiore the iPod from that backup.

  • I have a new computer and am trying to transfer multiple iTunes accounts

Ok, here is the long story: I have new computer and want to transfer iTunes libraries. There are 3 different iPods connected to the old computer (Windows XP, 3 different users). I utilize an external hard drive to store all the music, although iTunes resides on the c: drive of the old computer.
So, how do I get it all to transfer so that it works? I know it simply isn't as easy as moving the external drive to the new computer. When I first bought the external hard drive I was able to easily follow instructions for consolodating libraries, etc, but can't seem to find how to change computers when an external drive is involved.
    Thanks.

    Niel-
Thanks for the response. Do you have more specified instructions to which you can direct me? This sounds "too easy." I had a problem once before consolidating libraries (when moving the music from my hard drive to an external hard drive on my old computer). I missed one small step and it was a nightmare!
My libraries are already on my external drive, btw. Thanks.

  • How do I transfer my entire music collection to a new computer and sync my iphone with new mac without deleting existing music in iphone?

    Hi All,
I will describe my current setup and the required setup below. Please help me with the steps to do this
    Current setup:
    OS: Windows 7
Total Music collection: 80GB of mp3 , which is NOT added to itunes library (I use foobar)
iTunes Music collection: around 500 songs, synced to my iphone (unchecked "manually manage" that meeans all these songs are in itunes library)
Now the required setup: (Since I am planning to get a macbook pro)
OS: Mac OS  (This means the music file path will be different)
Total Music collection: 80GB which is to be added to itunes library
iPhone Music: The same 500 songs as before.
Is this possible? In Mac OS I want my entire 80GB to be added to itunes library, also keeping my existing iphone songs intact.
    Any ideas?

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive.  Open iTunes and immediately hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) so you get a prompt to select a library, then guide it to the 'iTunes Library.itl' file in the moved iTunes folder.
If you put the copied iTunes folder in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music  then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there.  (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.)
Longer answers if for any reason you do not think all library files are inside your iTunes folder (changed preferences settings at some point):
iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music [library] to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527 - a somewhat bewildering and not always easily understandable set of options.
For the record there's this reference for iTunes 11 but it really doesn't strike me as having the specifics you need. iTunes 11 for Mac: Move your library to another computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12168
2011 ilounge article: Transferring your iTunes library - http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/moving-your-itunes-library-to -a-new-hard-drive/  - An article with good background information (similar to the links above), particularly if you are not sure your media files are all grouped for quick answer above. Unfortunately under the single term "transferring library" it describes two very different moves; relocating just your media (not  really transferring your library and not recommended unless you really need this configuration), and relocating media+database (really your whole "library").  Make sure you understand the difference before electing to move only media.

Consider moving everything from your Windows PC to your Mac in a single move, including your iTunes library: About Windows Migration Assistant - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4796 - Learn about how to use Windows Migration Assistant to migrate your files from a Windows PC to a Mac.
Transferring the library as above will connect your i-device to the same library on the new computer even though it is stored on different hardware. You should not see the "erase & sync" prompt, and syncing will preserve game scores and other data on the device.
As for the 80GB of music in foobar, add that to the iTunes library at some stage by dragging those files to the Automatically Add To  iTunes folder.

  • I just got a new computer and i need to get my itunes on to my new iphone aswell?

how to retrieve my old itunes.....i just bought a new computer and iphone because both broke?

If you have a backup made of your iTunes library, you can restore that to your new computer. Post back with information on how the backup was made and someone can give you instructions. If you have no backup, you'll have to hope that the hard drive in your old computer still is working. If it is, you can mount the hard drive in an external case, attach it to your new computer, and copy the iTunes folder from the user folder on the old drive.
If you have neither a backup nor your old hard drive, then unless you have your content on some other iOS device, you'll probably have to re-import your CDs and repurchase anything you purchased from the iTunes Store other than iPhone app which can be re-downloaded without additional charge.
    Regards.
