No. You can sign in and out of the different accounts on the phone and the iPad but you can't use automatic downloads with two different ID's and if you switch to another ID on a device and then you download past purchases using that ID, you will lock yourself out of the other ID for 90 days.

What version of the Mac OS X are you running. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac and post the version.

I would like to designate a single device to control the Apple TV, but anytime another device enters and logs on it takes over the display and whatever is on that screne appears. Is there a way to set the Apple TV so this does not happen?
Glen beck is a conservative news commentator , he now has a tv Chanel broadcasted only by the Internet, is is GBTV I get it on ROKU. I cannot get that or FOX NEWS or CNET on my new apple TV. I rented a movie and downloaded it to my Ipad2. I accidentally hit the start. I soon found out that have 23 hours to watch it rather than store it for the month. Is there a way to correct this?

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 5 and I have this synced with my previous iCloud account. My problem is my old iPhone 4 is taking up 2.5 GB of space in the cloud. Is there a way to delete this iphone from the icloud so I can free up space as it is not needed anymore?

You can see what your iCloud storage is used for and delete any unwanted content at settings > iCloud > backup & storage > manage...... -
I Have a Ipod Classic that all my music is on.
After my previous computer crashed I have not had any of my music able to be transfered to the new computer from the Ipod.
Is there a way to do this?Unfortunately, unless you have a backup and can restore the iTunes library to the new computer, you are stuck with the current state of the iPod. This is one of those things that makes doing backups so important.
Unless your music is all purchased from iTunes (not from your own CD's that you imported into iTunes and then downloaded to the iPod), you will be able to re-download all your iTunes store music back to the iPod when you install iTunes on the new computer. When you first attach the iPod to the new computer and new iTunes the first time it will tell you that this iPod is synced with another iTunes library and let you initialize the iPod (which will erase everything on the iPod - so don't do this unless you don't care about the stuff on the iPod now).
I've seen 3rd party apps in the past that will let you copy music/content from iPod to computer and bypass iTunes, but not sure if they still exist as this was several years ago.

I have shared an apple id with my daughter over the past several years. She is in college now and our music tastes aren't quite the same. Is there a way that I can extract my music to a new user id without closing out my daughters?
You can't transfer music purchased from the iTunes store to another ID. You can, of course, create a new ID and start using that for purchasing your music. Just create the ID, then go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, tap the existing ID, sign out, then sign back in with the new ID.
If your issue is that music purchased by her on her device is automatically downloading to yours, you can turn this off by going to Settings>iTunes & App Store, and turning Music off under Automatic Downloads. Then you can continue to share the same iTunes ID without continuing to automatically download each other's purchased music. -

iMessage can be viewed and responded to on another Apple device. IPad, iPod or Mac computer.
regular SMS from non iPhone users will not show and you can't send to those phones.

I was updating to the IOS 8 thru ITunes on my 4S when it came unplugged from the computer (dumb dog). Now the phone just has an image of plugging in to the ITunes icon and when I plug it in it says its in recovery mode and needs to be restored to original settings and I will lose all of my contacts/photos/etc. Is there a way to reverse this and just get my 'old' phone back with all of my stuff? I only have the free ICloud storage so I know most of my stuff will be lost. Yes I know..,hindsight is 20/20 on buying the backup. Help please!
In short. No, you cannot unsync. If you had a back up from your old iPhone you cand restore from a back up.
In iTunes go to Edit > Preferences > Devices > and select the latest back up.
Before you synced your phone did you have it set up with the PhotoStream or iCloud? The pictures would be saved there. Or if you had them sync to a file on your computer. -
The PDF has fields to fill in but then to save a copy I need to "print" to PDF not save as a pdf because that is not an option with the document. Is there a way to do this? HELP!

Do you not have this avaiable in the print menu in Preview with these documents?
I have also found a link on the Adobe web site that discusses that this facilty is enabled by the creater of the PDF.

If you do a web search there are various claims on how to save a protected PDF, I have'nt a way to test the proceedures. I would want a copy of any forms that I sent off, not sure why they protect them in this way, there must be a reason. -
My MacBook Pro is not recognizing my external hard drive. The hard drive is listed in disk utilities but an icon does not pop up and I cannot access the data. Is there any way to resolve this?
WE know Disk Warrior is more reliable, hence more useful, and should be in any disk mechanics toolchest.
For the record, I don't know anything of the kind. I have yet to see evidence that Disk Warrior is useful at all.
What I do know is that you seem to take every opportunity you get to promote it in these forums. Do you work for Alsoft?
Let me be a little more explicit. My opinion is that Disk Warrior is a waste of money if one has backups. If a journaled HFS directory is so badly corrupted that it can't be repaired by Disk Utility, then the volume should be reformatted and restored from backup, which has the same effect as running DW, but is probably faster and doesn't cost $99. -
I made a video of our summer vacation on imovie. It's over an hour long. When I try to share it, the audio syncs incorrectly at about the 15 minute mark and is off for the rest of the movie. Is there a way to fix this? I think I have imovie 09 with all the availbable updates.

No you can change your wallpaper to make the font stand out more on your homepages and folders or you can adjustr the font size, bold and contrast here:
Settings > General > Accessibility
NOTE: Turning Bold text on will force your phone to reboot. -

The reset process takes a couple of minutes. When it’s done, quit the programs you’ve opened and restart your Mac. Notice that ‘Spotlight’ starts re-indexing immediately.
