2 questions from a Mac illiterate
Trying to sync aol contacts..I was successful with my gmail act....but can't seem to do it with aol....any suggestions? I'm syncing from a PC.
Also I'm trying to sync photos....Itunes doesn't want to grab them from the pc and I don't want them all.If I make a new folder on my pc for photos I want to sync,how can I drag them into Itunes ? Thanks in advance!

First, you can install Microsoft's Security Essentials in the Win 7 VM and keep it up-to-date. Second, you can turn off Sharing in Fusion's System Settings to keep the VM environment separate from your Mac. I've been giving HD videos in MTS format and convert the for editing in FCE. Looks good in the program, but when I export the finished film, quality had been noticeable diminished. Is there any way to prevent FCE from lowering the output quality?

I HAD two accounts because of this problem. I completely removed the problem account from the Apple Mail client. Guess what is happening?? That's right - Mail is still sending from the other account that no longer exists on my computer, and I have absolutely no idea how this is happening. This is incredibly frustrating. When a recipient chooses to reply to my message, quite often I won't get it now because it is going to the other account that has now been deleted from my system. COME ON APPLE!!! WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THIS???

Not sure about yahoo, but for gmail, I done the following:
Set up using Exchange on iPhone, it'll keep prompting for password. On PC use captcha option, log in to gmail account from PC after completingg captcha option, enter password on iPhone.
See how that goes for gmail, let us know.
Hopefully someone will have fix for yahoo.

Printopia is another option but be aware that since these solutions effectively act as a print server and AirPrint receiver, they require a computer to be running on the same WiFi network.
Canon also has a couple of apps in the App Store that might facilitate this on non-AirPrint printers. Check out...

okay from reading posts it seems if I transfer my backed up info from my old comp to the new one and erase my dad's phone's back up i could reset my phone and it would transfer all my old data back onto the phone, be linked to the new computer and i could proceed. When I did the upgrade it resulted in me having to do a factory reset because it was pausing for long periods of time. It went through the backup and all other steps but now all of my ringtones are gone from iTunes, thus the phone. I tried to redownload one I had purchased and it made me purchase it again (I did this as a test), and it said I had purchased it before but still required me to purchase again.
Anyone have a solution/thoughts/help?

Command + Z undoes the last action you did, did you just move those files into that folder?
Use Spotlight to search for the files, or look for them in their original location(s).

Need to know your Mac model. If it's a PowerPC, the max OS is Leopard 10.5.x. If it's an Intel procesor, you can upgrade to Snow Leopard (for $29) & later to Lion.

It is asking if you want to delete all the iCloud contacts off your Mac (not in iCloud).
Delete them. If you keep them you will have duplicates when you turn it back on. You will have the copy you kept and another copy when they resync with iCloud

Oh gosh, I saw the same issue. Because i was messing around with something earlier. I don't know why Apple took off the option of "none" as a payment since not everyone puts in a credit card and people use iTunes gift cards. I think they just made that changed recently. Anyways, Ive just found out about this new issue also, so i don't know what you could do... maybe call apple support?

There are no apps and that is not a feature of iOS.
iMessages are handled by Apple's own system, and there is no way to block a specific sender.
SMS messages and voice calls are handled by your cell service provider, so you need to ask them what blocking (if any) features they offer. If the texts are just spam, you should be able to report them to your carrier and they can block that sender. Other blocking options will vary from carrier to carrier, so call yours and ask them what they can do.
