I have a 2nd gen ipod touch. Recently I updated the OS from original second gen to the latest available which is software 4.2.1. Since doing this the ipod will no longer play music, videos, or stream online content. Any ideas how to fix it please?
I have tried restoring factory settings and loading the preferences I saved before updating the OS.
Neither of these methods have any effect.
The ipod also seemingly prevents you from restarting the ipod using the earlier OS software when resorting from recovery mode.
Any other ideas?

- Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple.
- When restoring to factory defaults/new iPod fails to resolve a problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment a the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

TaylorI have the exact same iPod and the same exact problem. I bought mine in the summer of 2006 and it died about 2 weeks ago. I have never dropped it but I do play it in the car all the time. I leave it in the car in the summer so I wonder if the heat go to it.
The screen still works, it will still sync with my pc (itunes) and it still "clicks" when I scroll through menu options. I paid something like $350 for it 2 years ago and I am really upset that it looks like I have to go and spend another $250 for a new one. I reset it as well with no luck.
I wish it had a diagnostic utility of some sort. -

Just got this ipad2 for Christmas and was able to FaceTime and view videos fine. Now am getting a green screen with audio in FaceTime and when watching videos through utube.

Has anyone had issues with failure of the music player to launch after updating to OS5? My Gen 3 will no longer play music!
I think a few have.
Try the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod. -

I updated to the latest iOS and now YouTube and the Ap store are no longer on my phone. Also, not all my music will play and if I play a song it will actually play a different song while displaying the one I chose. Any ideas how to fix this?
You have to download the individual youtube app now. It is no longer a nataive ios app from apple in ios6

In my email all the messages from one person bunch together and I would like to separate them. I have done this before on my iPhone but just recently got an iPad and its doing it on this, so does anyone have any ideas how to fix this issue?
Settings >> Mail, Contacts. Calendars >> Organise by Thread. Switch to OFF to see every individual email in the Inbox.

The audio is a .wav file created in Audacity.
The OS is Windows XP
The verison is CS4
I have included images of the Sequence settings and the playback settings because I was not sure what information you would need.
I am not sure what you mean by waiting for the Audio to conform but I know I have imported the audio and gone back the next day and tried to place it in the timeline and it still did not work. -
my iphone 4 has just started to play up !! when i go to switch the silent button on nothing **** up on the screen, nor does the volume button do this either. Also i never hear a text when i get it or hear it ringing, but i can play my ipod no probs. I have been into settings and sounds to see if it was off but it wasnt and all the tones and things work on there just not when i get a call or text. I have reset all settings and updated it all and nothing is working !! anybody any ideas how to fix this please

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

so you have an external hard disk, onto which you deleted/moved files from your internal hard disk, so that you now have 143 GB or so free on your internal hard disk — is that correct? Is the external disk purely for backups (e.g. a Time Machine destination), or does it function as a supplement to your internal disk?
Was it entirely your personal data files (documents, photos, movies, music, &c.) which you’d deleted or moved to the external disk, or did you also delete/move apps, libraries, &c. over there?
I’m not familiar with Echofon Lite, so I can’t comment on it, but an Apple-supplied app like the App Store shouldn’t crash.
Have you tried running Disk Utility yet, to see if its verification process gives your disks its seal of approval? -
I recently downloaded a 10.6.8 update and a game program has now been reduced in size. It's specifications are set for full screen, but it is about 1/4 of the size. Any ideas how to fix?

i found the error!
little snitch on os x blocks something (i dont know what exact) of adobe in the background. i have no rule defined for adobe in little snitch, so everything of adobe can go out.
when i stop little snitch, everything works fine - photoshop opens videos without the medialink error, photoshop starts up in seconds and premiere starts without a quicktime error.
i report the problem also to objective developement to fix this!

After the most recent Firfox update, the Add-on page locks up when I click on options for any add-on. Also my AddThis button is gone.

I am not exactly sure why the menu did not detect the password change or if it was stored incorrectly after you changed it?
