I have a brand new iPod Touch. I recorded three voice memos, then synced with my computer. Now the voice memo feature no longer works on my iPod.
My iPod touch is no longer recording voice memos. It worked for a while, then I synced it with my computer. Now it no longer works. I bought this for the main purpose of recording, and it no longer does this. It responds like it is recording, i.e. the needle moves in response to sound, but nothing is saved, and when I try to see the list of memos on the iPod by touching the correct button, absolutely nothing happens.
Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I went in and reset my iPod Touch back to factory settings and now it will not let me get in unless I sync to iTunes on my computer. Well, it still will not connect thru the USB cord. I'm being shown an error pop-up message periodically saying "There was a problem connecting to the server. URLs with the type 'file:' are not supported." I have a brand new MacBook Pro, and at no time am I actually having trouble connecting to the server, but this message continues to pop-up several times a day at random intervals. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or is my computer just having a glitch? Other than that, and a mildly sticking caps lock button, it's working perfectly.

Did you place the iPod in recovery mode? That is required for a disabled iPod

My ipod touch (geration 4) wont load my internet it just keeps giving me the loading sign. It was working perfectly fine untill yesterday for some random reason and now it wont load at all. Again it just gives me a loading sign and the wifi symbol wont come up.

Since I upgraded to iTunes 11.01 the "Smart" playlists feature no longer works.
I can CREATE the list but, the songs that I have played don't accumulate in the list.
I haven't changed the steps that worked for me previous to the upgrade.
I have no idea how to fix this and can't find mention of anyone else having a similar problem.

My Ipod touch was feeling really hot and then all of a sudden the screen turned white and started flashing with my apps still open but faded and unaccessible. My screen was a blurry like it looks on tv when you lose connection. Then the ipod kept making the charging noise over and over again and wouldn't charge. It then turned off. Then it put itself on the needs to be charged symbol but it was flashing and then it stopped showing up. I have tried everything-youtube, dfu mode,( it wont even sync to itunes) and it still wont turn on after hours of charging. The screen has been black for hours now. I hope somebody can help me. Thanks.
Let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour try a reset (both buttons) and connect to computer and try to restore. If screen is still white you very likely have a hardware problems.

Ipod touch 2g bluetooth will not connect after syncing with iTunes
Had my ipod touch 2nd gen working with Bluetooth pairing to my Jambox and Boss DVD player and previously had worked with my AudioEngine Bluetooth device. Had a problem with musc files giving me an 1309 error message, was able to just select music manually without sync until this problem came up.
Had to initiate the auto Sync with iTunes which removed the error message for Music and since then my Bluetooth pairing has stopped. Have ver 4.21 and the Bluetooth shows the bluetooth mac address.
The Love is gone for this device. It will not pair up with devices that were working under bluetooth last week.
Anyone have any ideas?- On the iPod try resetting network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to repair Bt defive s and rejoin wifi networks
- Reset the BT devices and repair. You have to see the BT device manual for how to reset them. -
Hi, i have an iPod touch 5g with IOS 7.1.2. .My iPod was synced to a previous laptop with my songs and i got a new laptop with the copied songs, i put them on iTunes 11 and synced it to my iPod and duplicates appeared in the music app on most of the songs. Some of the duplicates open and some turn grey when i play them. I have deleted all of the duplicates on iTunes, but they dont dissapear after i sync them. I cant delete the duplicates that appear grey, but i can delete the rest. Please help, i have no idea how to fix it.
Well, you could trade it in for a white one!
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes." -
I have three children that use iPod Touches. They are all iOS5 capable. I upgraded the first one this morning and it synced with my iPhone profile on iCloud. It asked for the iTunes account information which is what I believe caused this. We use Mobile Me Family Pack and each of the children have a unique @me.com account. How do I fix this problem so that each iPod has it's own unique login so that iMessage will work? I don't really want to open them up to any further exposure on the Web though... . As it stands I am able "micromanage" their contact list via Mobile Me. Is there any way to make the iPods behave correctly and still maintain parental control as well as allow them to keep their unique profiles and contact lists???
...and for some reason, after upgrading my son's iPod Touch... his apps all disappeared from the device??? Strange, as this worked perfectly when I upgraded my iPhone yesterday.
PS. All my upgrades are current. iOS5 on iPhone 4, iTunes 10.5 on MBP.I spent about 2 hours on the phone with Apple Support... had to restore both devices! Arrrgggghhh!!! Thankfully the iPhone had a Backup from yesterday. The iPod wasn't too tough to get back up and running either... although we had to completely reload it as if it were new. Then we found out that Apple won't let the device login with my son's @me.com email because he's too young (10). Quick work-around for now until Apple fixes this was to lie about his age in the setup. I don't like the work around, but it worked.
