I have a iphone 3GS, I am trying to send a apple calendar event invite to my sister's phone, why isn't she getting it? I have received invitations from other people before.
She said she did not recieve any invite and it would not let me add her phone number :/
I would think that at the very LEAST you would be eligible for a COMPLETE refund of ALL charges for insurance paid thru Verizon! They were charging you for something you were ineligible for! Verizon has a record of whether or not you purchased the phone from them - otherwise how could they deny the claim!
It very sad to see how customer service and customer satisfaction has been lost here ... !

Ichat does not receive chats from other people
For some reason when i send a message through chat to one of my buddies, it goes through but does not verify that it has gone through on the chat box. I am also unable to receive chats from buddies. Just so I am clear.
You normally use a Name regstered with AIM in iChat.
You have recently created an @mac.com name in addition but that will not show your end of Messages sent nor Incoming Messages.
In iChat > Preferences > Accounts > Server Setting what is the port both Accounts/Screen Names use to Log in ?
The Default is port 5190 with SSL On.
Log out (Account Info Tab and deseslect "Use this Account")
Try Without SSL (Untick SSL and then Log in again.)
If that does not work Log out and try port 443.
If you still have an issue delete the Screen Name (Click the Minus button beneath the List and conform.
Re-Add account.
It may also pay to delete com.apple.iChat.AIM.plist from your Home Folder/Library/Preferences (Drag it to the Trash)
Restart iChat afterwards.

Since I have updated my Mac to OSX Mavericks, all the invitations (.ics) are put in my Agenda one hour later then the requested time.
Before OSX Mavericks everything worked perfectly.
Invitations were automatically put in my agenda on the Mac on the right hour.
This agenda synced then trough Icloud with my Iphone and Ipad.
Now he puts al the invitations one hour later in my Agenda on the Mac.
I have checked all my time settings and they are correct.

My iphone 4 stopped sending imessages and can't receive replies from other iphones
My iphone 4 doesn't seem to send imessages all of a sudden. They show up green like normal messages. It also doesn't accept replies from other iphones.
Go into Settings>Messages>iMessage and see if it is activated. If it shows that it is on, then turn off for a couple of minutes, then turn it back on. Make sure that it activates. iMessage requires an active Internet connection to work, so make sure that you have either cellular data turned on, or you are connected to Wi-Fi.

I have an iPhone 3GS and was trying to restore it...
Now it won't let me activate my phone and my itunes tells me I have no SIM card inserted when I do.
Any ideas on how to get it working again?This means that the phone was previously hacked to carrier unlock (unauthorized unlock), and when you restored, the hack was removed and it became re-locked to its original carrier. It will now accept a SIM card only from that carrier.
Your only option is to contact the carrier it's locked to and enquire if they will provide authorized unlocking. Not all carriers will unlock and those that do usually have requirements and qualifications - i.e. you have to be a current or former customer in good standing. -
I have an iPhone 3Gs and it has froze on the apple logo. I have held the on/off button and the home button together but the apple logo keeps reappearing. What Can I Do?
Try plugging it into your computer, see if that clears it up or if you can perform a restore from your latest backup.

Anyone on this forum can correct me if I am wrong. I am not judging you, but to my knowledge the iTunes error 1600 usually affects products that are jailbroken. again I am not saying that your iPhone 3GS was jailbroken. my only advise off the top of my head to assist you is to download the recent IOS firmware online. I know it is not the the #1 advised option, but it is the only option you have unless you wish to bring it to the Apple Genius bar and see if they can replace the phone or fix it themselves.

Had the same problem. Have you checked your Cellular Data Network MMS fields? You should write there your MMS settings (APN, username, password, mmsc, mms proxy and mms max message size). You can get the data from your carrier. After that you could need to restart iPhone. Worked for me.

My IPad 2, IPhone 3GS ans iPod no longer work with apple TV, I have 2 apple TV in my house and for he last 3 weeks the iPod was the only one we could use for appleTV now none of them works, the apple TV icon does not show up any more. Re-started everything.

RESPONSES:
1) When I set up my iMac, I did not transfer any data directly from my windows PC. I simply used the same iTunes login and account. I have access to all of the files via the "Purchased" section of the iTunes store. If I click "Download Previous Purchases" text, I can download ALL of the purchases I have ever made.
2) I have the Apple TV 2, so good news, question answered. I thought maybe it was the Apple TV 1, but it is the Black model, so bam. Good response for you. Well the whole damned reply is an awesome response, just pointing out that one piece of awesome. I stated that it was an Apple TV 2, and yet you were still good enough to figure I could be mistaken, and provide me with knowleedge just incase.
QUESTIONS:
3) So can my iMac not stream the data directly from itunes, without download? Apple TV can, but perhaps that is something among many things that maker it unique, and awesome.

I work in the computer support section for the Military. The only problem is we use Windows , lol. Well that and i've been gone for nearly 6 months on recover. I go back next month though I hope. Well, All they ( your friends ) have to do is to add your email address with which you can and will send them iMessages to your contact in their Phone.
Then they will be able to send you iMessages through your email address ( in your case Apple ID )
Also I'm not sure for iPHone 4s, but I think in the iMessage settings you can choose how can people send you iMessages, by phone number or you can also list a few email addresses and choose one as primary. ( this is confirmed on iPhone 5 or later )

I made my own Apple ID because when I was logged into my dad's my family was receiving my texts from other people. I want to add my device to my dad's "find my iphone" app but without signing into his Apple ID on my phone because that was causing them to get my texts. I was told by Apple I could add my device to his by signing into icloud.com but there is no option that I can find to add my device. And I don't want to log back in to his.. Any ideas???
Also when I apply the safety copy it only imports the app the phones have had in common, so none of the apps that only the iPhone 4 had doesn't come in, only the ones I and the iPhone 4 has had in common. So you say the only way I can use the Apple ID to download on the old iPhone 4 is if I delete the apps that are in the phone and then download them again? How will that change the ID to download/update from. Won't it still have mine to update/download from?
