I have a mark 1 basic iPad and am travelling to New Zealand soon. Can I utilise my mobile phone to get a Internet connection?
How would anyone here know if your cell phone is capable of creating a mobile hotspot? No information about your phone has been provided. Regardless, that's a question for the phone manufacturer and the cellular provider, not Apple user to user support.
The iPad does not provide hotspot functionality.

I'm staying at my house in Peru, South America. From my PC laptop I can see my neighbor's wifi service network, but I also have my mini iPad and I can not figure out why I can't get any wifi connection from my area. Is there a setting I need to do?
Yes, I did try to go on my settings>wifi and was waiting for any wifi signals to pick up, but nothing shows up. But on my PC I get a whole list of networks to choose from. Regarding my neighbor, I already have her password that is why I was able to get it on my PC, the problem is that the mini Ipad is not picking any signal neither can it locate me when I go to maps.

I have an oritinal iPad and need to restore it to factory settings. I've followed the instuctions from the reset menu. When it powers back up it takes me to a screen indicating I need to attach it to iTunes. The iPad was loaned to me so I did not have a need to back it up. Can anyone help me restore the settings without connecting to iTunes?

When you reset to factory settings, you erased all content and settings. That restored it to factory settings except that it kept the latest iOS update.
The person who loaned it to you can connect it to iTunes on their computer. They will be given the option to restore from their backup.

I have 2 iphones, 1 personal and 1 business. I thought I was supposed to have 2 separate itunes accounts. I now have a work ipad and want to only have 1 itunes account that I can use for all 3 devices. How do I cancel 1 account or just combine the 2?
I want to be able to transfer my apps from my original itunes account that I have on my personal iphone 3 and work ipad 3 to my work iphone 4S ,as well as purchase more more apps for the work iphone with the original itunes account. i have an ipod, ipad, and iphone. ilike to use imessage on all of them but i dont want messages to appear on the devices i am not currently using. nor do i want to have to keep a saparate account / id for each device how do i fix the settings on each so that with the same ID / login I can chech me emails, share contacts etc, be able to use i messenger on each without the whole conversation automatically beiing picked up by my other devices? some conversations just arent intended to be shared!
Turn it into the local police department with an explanation as to who you tried to contact and what they told you. That's the only safe procedure, as otherwise the owner could report the iPod as stolen, even though you tried to return it, and get you into trouble.

I had an old apple ID and now I have a new one. I made many purchases in my old ID and I'm trying to transfer that information to my iPad and iPhone however, it won't let me connect my new laptop so I can make those changes. It says I have 5 devices but I don't have 2 of those old devices. The only ones i have are my iphone ipad and ipod but it looks like i can deauthorize all devices on those.

I'm about to purchase Lion. My husband and I each have a desktop, iPad and iPhone. We currently use one Apple ID for iPad/phone purchases. Can we purchase 2 copies of Lion with one Apple ID or do we have to use different Apple IDs for the purchase? If we use the different Apple IDs can we still use the same ID for all of our purchases.
And just in case you were wondering, installing one purchased copy on all the Macs you own is specifically called out as allowed in the Mac OS X Lion license.
If you do not want to download multiple times, just copy the Applications -> Install Lion app to a safe place BEFORE you do the first install. Then copy that copy to any Mac you own where you want to install Lion. -
I have an old Ipad and an IPad Air. I used one Apple ID for both IPads. Now I wish to split the iCloud storage and separate the two. I want to change my new IPad Air to a New Apple ID. How do I do it?
Go to Settings > iCloud > Delete Account, and enter your Apple ID password. Then sign in with the new ID.
NOTE: "Delete Account" just means it will be deleted from the iPad. The account itself will not be deleted. -

When syncing the iPhone and iPad with iTunes on your computer that is logged in with the Apple ID you plan on using on all three, the Apple ID should be transferred to the iPhone and iPad for the iTunes & App Stores on each device. If not, you'll need to sign out of the existing Apple ID on the iPhone and iPad followed by signing in with the Apple ID you want to use on both.
Keep in mind that all 3rd party apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account or Apple ID that was used to download the apps. With an app installed on your iPad and iPhone that was downloaded with a different Apple ID from the one you will be using now, you will need to use that Apple ID and password to install app updates for those apps. Not possible to transfer apps purchased with one Apple ID to another or to merge Apple IDs.
