I'm having trouble downloading jpeg files from my Nikon D7100 to my 3rd gen iPad. I see them come up for download and select download and a red exclamation point shows up in the bottome RH corner of the thumbnail instead of the green check

Are you talking about two different devices? If the music is on the phone and youcan access it from the Music app, then you can listen to it. If the music is not on the phone but on the iPod and you want it on the phone, then you would have to sync the phone to the same library the iPod is synced to.

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

My wife and I share apple id but have our own phones, and now having trouble with imessage. Sharing calenders, apps, music, contacts, etc...all great. But when we imessage each other. Our phones get confused and either not deliver message, or send it to and from itself.

Go to Settings > Facetime and you will see "You can be reached for video calls at:"
This should list your phone number (iPhone) and your email address (probably the gmail one).
And then an option for "Add another email..."
Choose that and enter your @me.com account and it'll send a verification email.
Same for iMessage: Settings > Messages > "Receive at" > Add Another Email
So you can be called by facetime and use iMessage through multiple email accounts yes.

iPads cant send regular texts - only through iMessage meaning that the other device will need to have iMessage too.
If you can't send a text that means the other person does not have iMessage and iMessage is only installed on iOS devices or OSX Lion

I have Photoshop Elements 10 and am having trouble resizing my photo to an appropriate size?

I need m image to be 16 Megabytes or less and I own a Mac. I know to go to image > image size, but I am not sue what numbers to put in for the pixels or anything... what should I change the size for "pixel dimensions" and "document size" to?
