I have a TBI. Password security is hard for me. How do I find someonne to let me use my own passwords w/o writing them down or storing them on a computer??

I have always used the same 3 passwords for everything. 3 are too many for me. I forget them and need to reset. Now, I can no longer use passwords I know and can remember. The new requirements for length, types of characters and stuff is really hard. I came up with a good one, but because it was new, I forgot. Then they say you can't reuse your passwords! Everytime I forget, I have to make-up something new to forget.
I have a request for reasonable accomodation under the ADA. I need an exception on my account that will let me use a recent password. I do not mind going through security questions. I can remember the answers to those! I am disabled. I need this assistance for account accessibility. I do not believe accomodating my problems from traumatic brain injury would be unreasonable.
Apple can't pay for enough peoople to actually do customer assistance, I guess. They just think we all have the same issues, they've heard it all before, and you can hunt and find your answer. This forum was all I saw that could lead to human interaction about this.
I'd also love advice for other popular sites, if you have any.
I put this under physical and motor skills because my brain has been physically damaged. Notice they don't even have a category for mental and learning disabilities.
Sorry for the "rant," but I have cried over my keyboard too many times now. Added to all the other stress of a TBI, now my ability to use the Internet is going down the toilet. It is my only interaction with the world beyond my walls and family.

There are a few applications out now that may be able to help you out. 1Password and LastPass are both password vault or lockers. They allow you to save passwords for applications and websites. That way you have a single password you use to keep the vault/locker secure and then all of your other passwords are stored for you so you don't have to write them down or try to remember them all.

I would not use Time Machine for this task. Rather I suggest you clone to the external drive. You can then boot from the external drive to restore your clone. First, purchase Carbon Copy Cloner.
Clone using Carbon Copy Cloner
1. Open Carbon Copy Cloner.
2. Select the Source volume from the left side dropdown menu.
3. Select the Destination volume from the right side dropdown menu.
4. Click on the Clone button.
5. When completed select Disk Center from the Window menu.
6. Click on the Recovery HD tab then select the backup drive from the list.
7. Click on the button labeled "Create a Recovery partition for this volume."
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.
You now have a fully bootable copy of your iMac's hard drive. When you receive your iMac back after the drive replacement you can boot it from this backup and use Carbon Copy Cloner to restore the backup from the external drive to the internal drive. The process is identical except you will switch the Source and Destination volumes - Source will be the external drive; Destination will be the internal drive.
Because the newly installed drive will most likely have OS X installed you can skip Steps 5-7. You can now continue to use your external backup drive by setting up scheduled backups with CCC. No need to use Time Machine.

Launch Keychain Access and click on Login in the left hand pane and then on Passwords. Next do search for Apple in the search field at the top and click on Apple ID Authenicication in the list that comes up. That will give you the ID no. and password.

My problem, in part, is that I have 2 iphones. I transferred one to another computer that now syncs with iCloud. The other phone I was updating today on my old computer. It was recognised by iTunes, and automatically synched. Then I updated it to a newer version of iTunes, and lost my contacts on that iPhone. I have trawled to Windows Contacts but to no avail.

What do you mean it's lost? Did you actually put it on the new computer?
Simply installing iTunes and logging into your account does not cause content to magically appear.

Many thanks JEM24 for your help. Ive just spent the best part of six hundred pounds on a new Sony Rx100m2 compact camera, so I have no interest in the Ipods camera at all really. I doubt Ill be watching many videos on it as Im very lucky in that I have a good Android tablet. Its more as a stock music player that Ill be buying the Ipod for, if indeed I do end up buying one. I dont like the idea of paying the exorbitant amount added for more memory space that Apple along with most other companies charge. In fact I read an article on this very subject just yesterday in the tech section of Flipboard. It stated in the article that in the case of the Iphone the actual cost of each additional gigabyte of storage to Apple et al is something in the order of 60p.. This is certainly not reflected in the price us the customer has to pay at the till.. Its for this reason primarily that Apple in particular, because their products do not allow adding expandable memory of your own in the form of cheap to buy cards, that nobody in their right mind buys the 64gig etc Iphones..I am aware that we are discussing my potential purchase of an Ipod Touch here but you see my point. Depends on where you are. Most all hotels/motels have wireless. There are Internet cafes, libraries, Starbucks, and many other places providing WiFi service.
In your iPad's Network settings you will usually find displayed all detected wireless systems. Not all of them may be usable unless they provide free access or you have a paid access membership. You should find this discussed in the user manual:

If the hard disk diagnotics report no problem then the issue is with your operating system.
A windows 7 startup repair disk should resolve the issue. Windows 7 Startup repair disks are not freely downloadable. You will need to have acces to a PC or notebook that is running the same version and type (32 or 64-bit) as your installed OS. When you have access to such a PC and a blank DVD, then you can make a repair disk of your own.

Have you formatted these new drives yet with Disk Utility? That is the first step.
Once they are formatted, if you want to see them on your desktop open the Finder preferences, General, and clock the checkbox that says "Show these items on the desktop" for the hard disks. If that preference was already set you should see the drives appear after they are formatted. Then they are there for you to use as you wish.
