I'm not clear on what account you're looking to remove. If you are looking to change the Apple ID you have signed into the phone for use in the App Store and iTunes Store, then this Knowledge Base article should prove helpful:

Delete the affected email account from your device.
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Choose the affected email account, then tap Delete Account.
Add your account again.

You didn't say what you've tried, but f the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. You have a firmware password reset.
The iMac A1311 is (if I'm interpreting info correctly) an early 2009 model. So this should work:
Shut down the computer and remove all the RAM.
Try booting (you won't be able to even get to the point you were at before, without RAM)
Reinstall the RAM
Turn on the computer and hold down the command-option-p-r key combination before the startup chime sounds. Continue to hold them until the computer restarts on its own a second time, then release.
The computer should now boot normally.
If that doesn't work...then you'll need a genius bar appointment, for which you will need proof f ownership of your iMac.

I changed my Apple ID email and can't access my iCloud account because it's with my old email and I don't know the password.

I got a new phone and I can't sign into iCloud (it keeps bothering me about it so I wanna just end this). I changed my Apple ID email a while ago and now iCloud won't let me sign in with that email. I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

No, not unless you have a more current iCloud ID that was created by revising this old ID. If you do, you can go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone, then delete the account. When you're done, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.

If they are Tunes purchased music you have to sing into the account that purchased them.
Is this the iTunes library/computer you sync with? You can rally only "sync" with one iTunes library/computer.However, yo can manually manage music and videos among different libraries/computer. See the manual method of:

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
