I have an Apple ID, a game centre account and an app but when I try to log into FaceTime or iMessage it says I need to verify my email address even though I already have. Why?

I dunno if this will work for you but I had the same issue today and had to redo what I did about two weeks ago.
I went to "Settings" then to "General" and scrolled all the way done to "Reset"
I didnt do a reset that erased data, just the ipad settings.
I had to re-enter all my wifi stuff but after trying to log back into facetime it worked fine.
It's a pain in the arse (second time I've had to do this in a couple of weeks) but it worked for me, Good Luck

TS1398 I can get on the Internet and other apps but when I try to get into my FaceTime or messages it asks for my apple ID and password. After a minute it says "could not sign in. Please check network connection and try again." I'm lost as what to do.

I have tried turning off my iPad and the wifi. I don't know what else to do or try.

Or if you can't find it there,
Apple Menu > About This Mac > More Info > Storage > Disc Utility
Select Macintosh HD and Repair Permissions.

Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...now sign back in with the ID you want to use.

Can anyone advise if apple is having issues with the APPLE ID portion of their site? I have been trying all afternnon to update my apple id from "Manage your account". It will not allow a revision with the instructions given. THis is most irritating since with the new update your apple ID must now be your email address which is incredibly old and I would certainly like to change it to my current email address!
You have the option to do that but THAT OPTION is also not working at this time.

I am having the same problems. Firstly found out that I had a duplicate email address on two apple ids so I fixed that but now it wont let me verify the email address. When I click on "verify email address" nothing happens. So frustrating cos cant set up Facetime or iMessage on my iPad.

I have only one appleID for both machines but created two Game centre accounts as there is a couple of games we both play and have different high scores. ipad 4 is nicely set up with all of my game data but now I would like some help in reinstating My sons game centre account (previously on the ipad1) now on the iPad 2. You and your husband can share a store account and still have seperate iCloud accounts for your contacts, bookmarks and stuff like that. Click here for instructions to make an apple account without entering a credit card. Make sure you use a different email address for each apple account.
Set up your iPhone/iPad whatever using the new account for iCloud. Then go into settings/store and sign in with your purchasing account, you may need to sign out of the other account. To the best of my knowledge, your household is allowed to share purchased legally, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Once you each have your own devices set to your own accounts you can set them to backup to that account and it will keep all your contacts seperate.

It sounds like you are getting a prompt when trying to use iTunes to sync an app to your iPod that you need to authorize your computer but it already is. I would next verify that the app in question was purchased with the same Apple ID as the one that you have iTunes authorized. The following article will help you find the Account Name. Open iTunes and go to the Apps section under Library in the Sidebar.

Highlight one of the items you have purchased (You can find your purchases in your Purchases playlist).
Choose File > Get Info.
Click the Summary tab.

Check for new 64 bit software for the modem, other wise you I'll probably have to boot your Mac in 32 bit mode first.. And then every time you want to go online.
I have the Sierra wireless 306 and have their 64 bit lion software installed. Works well.
