Yes. Have you tried looking on Amazon for compatible options? There are still plenty available. Here is one possibility.

I have an ipod nono 8gb which is about 5 years old and is full - my husband is a jazz fan, and now I have jazz on my little ipod and my ipod touch. I am thinking of getting an ipod classic 160gb and putting all his jazz on to it. Is it possible for me to link it to my Itunes library and his Itunes library and just put all the jazz on to the new Ipod classic? if so, how do I then delete the jazz of the other two ipods?
There is no limit to the number of iPods you can sync to one computer, iTunes library, or account.
You might want to create a seperate iTunes library for him, perhaps on another user account on the system and move all of his Jazz music over to that new library. Once you have all of his music moved over to his own library, remove it from your own and then resync both of your iPods to clear his music off. This is just one way to do it.
If that was a bit confusing, take a look at this article for a few ways to manage multiple iPods with one computer.

Ipod Nano 8GB (2nd Gen.) problem
My Ipod freezes the second i disconnect it from the computer (I mean the cable) and the only way for me to turn it back on is to reconnect it to the computer.
I have tried "The 5 R's" and they didn't work either. Any one have some ideas about it?Hello Tine Rico,
And Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Definitely sounds like your iPod's battery is dead especially if you have left it to charge for such a long period of time. You may want to double check this article first through to make sure you have tried everything.

You can have Apple replace it for you for a very hefty price, a third party repair company for much less such as [iresq|http://www.iresq.com>, or you can even do it yourself if you wish.
Or simply look into getting a new iPod if you wish.

Can I updated my iPod touch 8GB 2nd generation?
Hi.. I have a old iPod touch with ios 2.2 and i try to update it but I couldn't do it, because a mistake takes off "iTunes couldn't restore ur iPod error (-1)". What Can I do?
Error -1
Attempt to restore your iOS device two more times. If the issue is still unresolved, the device may need service.
The "device may need service" means a hardware problem. In that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

IPod Nano 8gb problems with iTunes/iMac
Bought a brand new iPod Nano 8gb last night. I am trying to use it on an iMac G4 1 gigahertz with OSX 10.4. This computer is not online. I downloaded itunes 7.0.1 from a neighbors computer and installed it on my imac and it seems to work fine. I can hook up the Nano to the iMac with no problem. Itunes recognizes the Nano and seems fine UNTIL I click anywhere in the itunes window woth the Nano plugged in, at which point itunes disappears from my screen. I can relaunch it, but the same thing happens again. Itunes works fine without the Nano plugged in, but not with the Nano.
I called Apple Support, and was told I HAVE to be online to use both itunes and the new Nano I am online at work on a PC, but don't have internet access at home. I have no desire to download songs online, or do anything else online at home, I just want to be able to put my own existing CD's on my Nano to listen to away from home.
Any ideas? Do I HAVE to be online to use iTunes 7 and the new Nano?I guess I'd better clarify this for my own sake. By "update" are you referring to changing music, folders, artists, etc? In which case, I realize that I would need to update my Nano to reflect any changes I make to my music files. If by "update" you are referring to making a software or firmware change through an internet connection, then I would think this would be a rare occurrence that could be done at a friends computer.
The Apple "help" person on the phone said that I couldn't even USE my Nano without being online. Period. That the new Nano and new versions of iTunes REQUIRED an internet connection to function properly.
At the Apple authorized dealer where I bought the Nano, they said there is no need at all to be online, as long as I have the proper versions of everything (OS, iTunes, etc) installed, it should work fine, there is no need for an internet connection. (Unless I want to actually download songs, of course) They have burned a CD for me with the required updates they feel I will need, which I will install later this evening. Hopefully that will work.
It makes no sense to me that I would be REQUIRED to be connected to the internet in order for the Nano to simply be able to playback songs I have stored on my iMac, as I was told by the Apple help person the phone. He made NO effort to help at all, saying repeatedly that as long as I was not "online" with my iMac, the Nano and iTunes would not work, saying "What part of this don't you understand?"
Then he hung up. -
I have an ipod nano 2nd generation with a non responsive click wheel
I have an ipod nano 2nd generation with a non responsive click wheel. I have fully charged it tried resetting it and on two different computers with the latest iTunes I have restored it with the latest firmware then moved it to hold and off hold held in the menue button and select button for 10 seconds but all I get is a screen where I select the language but cant get any response from the scroll wheel.
The hold button is working (I see the lock icon go on and off) I have done the restore procedure and then reset many times but no good I am wondering if I should open it up and disconnect the battery for 30 seconds.
I would appreciate any advice thanks in advance. (This is my Daughters ipod mine is an 8 gig one.)You need a newer model iPod, a 4G or 5G. The 2G can only go to iOS 4.2.1

i have a ipod nano 1st and 2nd generation and am trying to put music on it but every time windows says one of the usb devices attached to this computer has malufunctioned and windows does not recognize it code 43 can someone help me please
Try putting it into "Disk Mode" http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93651
Then with it in this mode connect it to the PC and try to run the latest iPod updater to do a restore and update software if you have the option. the latest iPod updater is 2006-03-23 and can be downloaded here http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/ -
I have an iPod nano 2nd generation and I want to download the songs I have on it to my new computer, as my old one crashed with all the songs on it. I also got a new iPod and would like to transfer the old songs onto it. How do I do this?
Ok so sorry for clogging the community!! I figured it out - you have to copy your videos into itunes manually. I did that, synched and all good!

I have an IPOD Nano 4th Generation 8GB and am unable to restore it back to factory settings even when it is connected to my MAC. I have tried the menu/select hold but is not doing anything. When connected to the MAC and select restore in itunes it comes up with 'Firmware Corrupt'. It also states the IPOD is up to date. I have the latest operating system on my MAC and wonder if this may be part of the issue?
Can anyone shed light as to what i can do to reset it back to factory settings as would like to sell it and ensure it is ready for the new owner.
Thanks

No, you cannot sync videos to the 6G Nano.
For help on syncing all other types of content, see the iPod's *User Guide*. It should be able to answer most of your questions.

I still have my iPod nano 3rd generation, but my old computer crashed and I did not have itunes backed up. Is there a way to get the music from ipod to new computer library and then on to the new ipod ?
Save all the photos from your Droid into a folder on your computer.
Connect your device to your computer. On iTunes left Pane, select iPhone under 'Devices'; then on the right Pane, select PHOTO tab. Make sure Sync Photo box is checked, and "from" box selected the folder that has Droid's photos. Then click the SYNC or APPLY button on the lower right window.
