I have an MP3 file but would like to create a new one. Please help!

I would like to take a current MP3 that I have on file and create a new MP3 using only the first 20 seconds of the original. How do I do this?
(I have iTunes and another program called something like iGarageBand)

Use "Export to iTunes" in GarageBand. The file in
iTunes will be an AIFF; use "Convert Selection to

I thought that it would have been more straightforward in how to delete the rest of the track... I guess I need a little pointer in that area too.
So far, I've imported the track and split it at where I'd like. After that, I have no idea on how to delete the rest of the track. So... how do I do that?

I had a Firefox Sync account a while back on an email address and then I deleted it. Now I want to use Firefox Sync again. I had forgotten that I deleted my account, but after trying to send password reset emails to that address and failing to receive them I can only conclude that the email is still on record in Firefox Sync, even if the account has been deleted.
Is it possible for me to set up a new account using this email address? Trying to set it up through Firefox tells me that the email address is in use, when from my point of view it is not.

Strangely enough, sending the email from account.services.mozilla.com did the trick this time! Thanks.

I'm not sure why you had to manually enter your contact information, but if you created and turned on your iCloud account, the information should be there.

Please note that the Contacts App (looks like a brown address book) is located inside the Utilties folder on your home screen. Press and hold the Utilities folder and it will jiggle. Then drag the Contacts App out onto the home screen for easier access. (see page 20 of the guide below).

1: when texting, if I tap e.g. the letter T, occasionally 3 or 4 letters T will follow in rapid succession or when the letter T is highlighted to confirm the letter is correct, it will freeze at that point

Also, when scrolling through a message thread to find a particular message, sometimes I have no control over stopping at the wanted message - rapid scrolling right back to the first text occurs & often when I then try again, the reverse happens with rapid scrolling (uncontrollably) through the messages to the last message received.

Create a new ID:
On the iPod go to
- Settings>Messages>Send and receive and sign out your ID and sign into the other one. Make sure that only her ID email address is listed.
- Settings>FaceTime sign out of your ID and sign into the other one. Make sure that under You can be reached at only the newID email address is listed
- Settings>iCloud and sign out and sign in with the new one
- Settings>iTunes and App Store and sign out your ID and sign in with the new one.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

You can create a new Apple ID and password for the iPad but none of the content downloaded using the Apple ID associated with the four devices will be available on the iPad.
Create new > Apple - My Apple ID
It's not possible to use two passwords with one Apple ID.

I really do not think it is the iPad or your network connection. Other users have reported this very same issue. Try this and see if it works for you - it may not work - but it's easy to try - harmless - and it has worked in the past for others.
Try signing out of your account and restart your iPad.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID and tap the ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Go back to Settings>Store> Apple ID and sign in again.

Check all of your folders to see if FaceTime is in any of them.
If not, check your restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) and if restrictions are on, and you know the passcode, then FaceTime might be turned off. Turn ON to veiw icon on home screen.
Let me know if this does/doesnt work.

Apple does not take trade-ins. You'll have to look for a dealer that does, though you'll probably get more for the iPad 1 if you sell it yourself.

Both ATVs have different names, right?
Did they both show up before?
