It would appear that you can ask for an exchange but it doesn't specify any time frame... Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can add to this.

Click Deauthorize All.

How can I connect my iPhone to my computer (virtually new) without loosing the data I have on my iPhone?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

No good news I'm afraid. I have been through ALL the system caches and files that were updated at the time of said issue. Reset - rebuild and even gone back to my TimeMachine copy from earlier this AM. Nothing! Can only assume it is something deeper in the /usr or var or private folders.....
I have cloned the system and core files (/usr, /private) etc etc to an external HD and it still recreates the fault. I am afraid to say I have no more time at the minute to look at so have put my machine back to 2 hours prior via my TimeCapsule.
I the absense of anyone else or, indeed, Apple fixing in the next 12 hours, will get back onto it from the cloned copy I have kept and see if I can find the offending file/files...

When my hard drive was replaced by Apple, I had to re-install iTunes myself. Then I noticed that there was a question mark on my dock where the App Store Icon was supposed to be. I did a software update, and now the question mark is gone. How do I get the App Store Icon back on my dock?
Locate it in the Apps folder and drag it to the dock.

I just downloaded the most Recent version of Firefox and I cannot see anything. Everything just goes blank, and I can't even see the toolbar up to try and get into the settings!

I have paid apps on my ipad and if I update my software to iOS5 I will lose all my apps. Surely, there is a way to restore the itunes account that I lost when my pc crashed. I really don't want to lose all my apps and start from scratch.
Does itunes archive my items, like blackberry and amazon? It would really be unfair to re-purchase all the items I had previously purchased because my itunes account was lost when the pc crashed.

I have an iMac 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 duo running Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.8 I have backed up all my files but after i restart and open up Disc Utility the erase tab is 'grey' and will not allow me to select it. I no longer have the DVD that came with and i would rather upgrade to a better operating system. what shall i do?
You can't erase the same volume that you're booted into. What system are you wanting to upgrade to? If it's Yosemite and your iMac can run Yosemite there's no reason to do an erase and install unless you're having some big problems with what you have. I have downloaded icloud and now cannot sync any of my ipods or iphone5 from my computer. I can create playlists no problem on my phone but it is not automatically syncing with my other devices. I need to update my playlists onto my ipods but since using icloud can no longer do this. What am I doing wrong.

but what a waste of time as it doesn not save any changes done automatically back in the cloud....

You'll need the Original system discs that came with your system when you bought it or a Upgrade DVD for a newer version of OSX that you bought and installed over the top of the original version. Either should boot the system and allow you to install that version of OS X.
But you will still need the original Applications DVD to reinstall the iLife Apps.
If you do not have them you can order a Replacement set from Apple for a small charge.
To boot the system from a DVD you can either hold down the C key when starting the system, that tells the system to boot from the DVD drive, or hold down the Option key when starting and that will bring up the Boot Menu screen where you select the DVD/DVD drive as the Boot source. -

I thought Boot Camp could be involved becauseI know it's the only thing related to the EFI.
I searched on internet, and Ifound nothing. There was a solution in order to reset the partition table, but the tool is no longer available. The link on on the application explains that I have to reformat my macbook pro. I find a bit weird to make this , I can't spend hours for backup / restore just because the SMC update does not work. have you any lead for me ?

Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger and Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger, and 4.1 for Leopard) and/or TechTool Pro (4.6.1 for Leopard) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X. -
Final Cut Pro Chooses The Hard Drive?
Have been working for two days on a project. The media is all on an external drive named LACIE VIDEO MEDIA. Superduper did a backup to another external drive called Verbatim 2 this morning. When I started up Final Cut Pro X this afternoon the event browser now thinks all my media is on the VERBATIM 2 drive and claims there are no events at all on the LACIE VIDEO MEDIA drive. All the original files are still there on the Lacie drive!!! Final Cut Pro X cannot see them? How do I reconnect them?
I was experimenting with external drives and found that FCPX would only see HFS+ formatted drives, not fat32, or ntfs.
I had copied the Final Cut Projects and Final Cut Events folder from Movies to the root of the external drive using finder, started FCPX and it showed only the projects/events on the external drive.
I removed those the folders from the external drive, and then used FCPX to duplicate the projects and events from the internal drive to the external drive and both showed up in the browser
Strange.
So, only use FCPX to move around your projects/event. -
My loop browser is playing loops that arent on the Hard drive!??!???!
I have 60's shuffle drummer 01 02 03 etc that i threw out a long time ago. I just repaired perms, repaired disk. Now
i have these loops in the browser and they play
but i do not ( ive looked everywhere ) have them on my computer's HD. Isnt it absolute that what is played in the browser must be on the HD somewhere?
This is the strangest thing that has happened?

1-I want to organize the loop browser so that if i want lets say only electric guitar solo loops or just drum fill loops I could bring all those up in the browser where it says show all ( in the very left column) and they would appear in the same amount ( minus those in 3/4 or 6/8) as they are in the subfolder in the Apple loops HD folder. Thats the first concern i have.
2-i am not really really sure that every loop i have in my HD (lib>audio>apple loops folder is actually listed in the loop browser. I bought several different third party loops and some have odd names and so forth all in all i must have 6 thousand loops or more...Id like to make sure that they are all indexed properly. Id like to start from scratch. So as not to get duplicate problems etc etc. I would feed the route Hard drive initially free of any loops from an external HD with the loops and re drag the loops in their respective folders onto the HD and then the browser and reindex them so that im sure im doing it right.
thats the goal. I would ofcourse trash the index document before i do this.
I understand with prefs unchecked (no filter) the only loops that wont be showing will be those with different time signatures.
Now, in my newly made HD loop folder ill have subfolders with loops for electric guitars, acoustic guitars, drum kits, drum fills, etc. etc
What im asking therefore is if i have subfolders with more specific loops in them is it just a matter of dragging each sub folder over the browser and when i go to the browser to search them, I would simply have to click on the very left column where it gives you the options show all etc..
and i should see the loops in each of these subfolders (minus the different time signature loops) as they are on the Hard Drive?
i found that Jam Pack 4 orchestral is only loadable if you do it in small amounts. It will not take the whole folder and index. ( thats my experience ).
So are these feats possible and can i do them the way ive stated it so far?
now the catch and the problem im having here is that the loops have been assigned different instruments genres that conflict with what i would like. I am not going to go in and change all of them to suit me in APPLE SOUND UTILITY.
i just want to know they are all indexed and that i can grab them with the above method. do let me know
