I have audio CDs and MP3s that I want to download onto my MacBook - how do I do that? I would like to be able to edit them in Garageband if possible and then burn them to a different CD or DVD. Step by step instructions would be great! Thanks!

The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer regularly. You should have been syncing your contacts to your cpputer regulalrly. Have you failed to do this?

I have a psd file with many layers and text. I want to edit the text. How do I do that?

I recently purchased a book cover from a creative....she charged me one amount for the jpeg file and another amount for the psd file and then there's another cost to edit the text on the back cover. Instead of paying all these fees separately I'm trying to edit the text on my back cover myself.
The problem is I HAVE NO CLUE how to do this....anybody have any help to offer?

In the psd file, on the right side you should see a panel that says Layers. Expand that panel if it is not already by clicking on it.
Scroll down through the list in the layers panel until you find the text (there should be a large T for a thumbnail to show it is text)
Double click on that large T to edit the text. (The text should now be highlighted and the Text tool on the left side of the screen should be selected)
Type away then select any other layer to deselect the text
If you do not see any large T capture your screen with the layers panel open, so we can see what layers are there.

Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device. I figured out what was going on the app had miss represented how much space it would take it had said it was 1.2g's however it was really 1.9g's which was all I had left on the phone I downloaded it to my computer first from the apps store then was able to see this. At that point I was able to rearrange some memory to accomadate it's size thanx for the help.

With the current iTunes version, there is no Sync Apps selection.
For an app in your iTunes library that is currently installed on your iPhone that you don't want on your iPhone, you can select Remove foir the app under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync. Below the Apps window under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, deselect Automatically install new apps if selected.
To prevent apps downloaded direct with your iPhone from being downloaded with iTunes on your computer, at the iTunes menu bar on your computer go to iTunes > Preferences > Store. Below Automatic Downloads, deselect Apps if selected.

When you installed Pages v5, it automatically moved the older Pages ’09 v4.3 into /Applications/iWork '09 folder. If you want normal comment interoperability, you are advised to resume using the older version of Pages. Newer, is certainly not better with Pages v5.
