I have both an iMac and a Macbook Pro and I want to set up a dual monitor with them. How would I do that exactly?

Still not sure. Been trying to find out but can't get it working.
Do I use a specfic cable to connect the two, could it possibly work with bluetooth? Please help

27-inch iMacs and iMacs with Thunderbolt can be used as an external display > http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11302
If you have a iMac with Thunderbolt, your MacBook Pro must be an Early 2011 or newer one in order to use your iMac as an external display. You have to buy a Thunderbolt cable.
If you have a iMac with Mini DisplayPort, your MacBook Pro must have Mini DisplayPort or Thunderbolt. In both cases, buy a Mini DisplayPort cable.
If you don't meet one of those cases, you can't use your iMac as an external display. In this case (and if you want to use the MacBook Pro as an external display), you can use an app like ScreenRecycler to use an unsupported Mac as a display

I have a theory. You don’t want to controll your car, you want to controll somebody who is driving the car. Volvo XC 60 is a nice family car, usually used by married men between age of 35-45, probably with small children, so it’s very unlikely that you want to controll your teanage kid, mainly because probably even if you would give him/her to drive the car in the neighborhoud, I don’t think that he/she would be „several hundred miles away”… If your child is not young teneage anymore, and he/she has his/her own life, but you want to control him/her, that is sick… So I am convinced that you want to controll your husband who probably travelling often! Am I wright?

If she creates her own iTunes account she can't use any protected content purchased under another account. She can play unprotected content synced from an iTunes library on a computer, but she can only download content from the cloud that is purchased under her account.
It's a pain I know, but the longer you put off the move, the worse the situation will become.

Yes. Ethernet is simple. OS X constantly and relentlessly searches for any network connection it can find. Plug it in and it will work.
Are you considering the Linksys EA3500 or something similar? Get what you want but be sure to read its reviews first. In my opinion Linksys consumer grade products suffered after Cisco's acquisition of them, and their customer support went from poor to abysmal.
A genuine Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station is more expensive, but not much more so. Its advantage is the ability to be configured with AirPort Utility whereas other routers either use dedicated Windows software or a browser interface. Read its reviews too then decide for yourself.
If you already have an Ethernet switch the additional port of the EA3500 is superfluous. You could just as easily use the less expensive AirPort Express, $99 before discounts. The major difference between the Extreme and the Express is the latter's lack of additional LAN ports, so just use your switch.

I tried the online restore instructions using iTunes, but I can not read my dads apple password completely. Brian, thank so much for this info. I have been plugging along on the internet to find an answer to this puzzle before I had to go to the Apple store cuz I know it will cost some bucks to fix. I am on a starving artists income, so god love the internet cuz I finally found the solution on this link. I hope it can help others with the same problem like me. Step #1- I had the latest version of itunes on my pc originally cuz I have an ipod, but I ended up having to uninstall and reinstall the latest version. How do i make it happen so I can use two seperate iMac computers as one set-up with one keyboard and one mouse?

If the keyboard and mouse are wired, then a USB KVM switch will work.
If they are wireless, you should be able to connect the wirelessly via Bluetooth settings. discover the same keyboard and mouse on each iMac.
However, you cannot use them on each iMac simultaneously. I think it would be rather difficult for you to switch between them (disconnecting and reconnecting them over and over again).
Most iMacs come shipped with a keyboard and mouse by default. How come you only have one keyboard?
Keyboards and mice are not that expensive either.

Try deleting the problematic book (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iBook store.

YOu would need to contact Orange and have them unlock your phone.
ONly the carrier that the phone is locked to is authorized to unlock it.

Hello everyone,
Is it possible to connect from a MacBook Pro's mini display port to a Display Port monitor with resolutions higher than 1920 x 1200? It seems Apple does not supply a mini-DP to DP adapter.
However, just as they do not make a mini-DP to HDMI adapter, but they do recommend a Belkin product for this purpose.
Is there any reason that a mini-DP to DP adapter or cable wouldn't work and support high resolutions?

Otherwise, depending on the TV's inputs, for video you could run DVI to DVI on the TV, or DVI to HDMI to the TV. For audio you could run 3.5mm stereo mini plug from the MBP to RCA adapter on the TV. Toslink/optical is also an option.
