You can erase it with find my phone if you had enabled it, this doesn't wipe the data in your iCloud account.

Sounds like you encrypted your iPhone backup, & if so it's asking for the encrypted backup password. Do you have a company Exchange account on your phone?

Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.

HT4642 I have an older Imac. It is running OSX 10.6.8. We have two new Ipads and wish to open and use a spread sheet developed on the Imac. Currently I can open the Spread Sheet but cannot make any entries. How can I fix that problem?

I wish to use Spread Sheets developed on my Imac (OSX 10.6.8 with Numbers 08) on my new Ipad Mini. Currently they will open but I cannot make entries.
Is there some software I need to download to my Ipad ?
If I update my Imac Numbers 08 will it still work with existing spread sheets ?
If I upgrade my OSX 10.6.8 will it impact my files originated under my old OSX and will all my programs work?
Is there a work aropund that will allow me to use those Spread Sheets on my Ipad ?
As informative as Apple is with their products, I see little that addresses compatability issues. Art they non existant ?

I put incorrect passcode to unlock my iphone and it disabled my phone, instructions say to restore but when I try to i get error msg saying to turn off the find my iphone app in order to restore, how can i do that w/o being able to get into my phone ???

The only way is to login to iCloud with your computer browser and wipe the iPhone.

I disconnected an email account from my iPhone 4- no longer receive the emails from that account on the phone BUT the address still appears on some outgoing emails? How can I stop that from happening?

I have not upgrade to iOS7. I've deleted an email account (gmail incase it makes a difference). The problem is that the ADDRESS still sometimes used despit the deletion. Now, one of the reasons I deleted it was that this address would "override" the address I was trying to actually send from even if I manually selected the other address. How do I get this completely disconnected from the phone without replacing the phone??

If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. I'm afraid there is no place to download photoshop elements 6, that i know of anyway.
(unless you had bought it from adobe as an download, then you could possibly log in to your account and download pse 6)
What operating system are you using?
Do you have another computer with a working dvd drive or do you have a flash drive, camera card.
USB dvd drives are dirt cheap, so if you live near a computer store, that might be an option or if you have a friend that has one you can borrow.

As long as the information that is shared between the accounts is the exact same, I should have no problem merging them. I want to share my Ical with a google calendar user- how can I do that?

I have tried sharing it, by sending them an e-mail invite- however that just ask them to sign up for icloud. I tried making it public and sending them the URL, they got a robots can't read the txt (or something like that) message. Any other suggestions?

Thank you. I am trying again to backup my catalog to my second hard drive. When I tried it before it would stop at 64% at which point I figured it was stuck and cancelled it. The third time I tried it I let it go for a day, and then it gave me an error message. Unfortunately, I was so frustrated I didn't write down or look up the error message, I just decided to copy in Windows instead - just so I would have a backup for my stuff. Currently it again seems to be stuck on 64% again. I will let it go and see if I eventually get an error message and then try to look that up and resolve it. If successful I will then reconnect with the method you shared with me - thank you!
