I have enrolled for the apple developer program but apparently have the same account name in iBooks. I need to change the iBooks account but don't know how. Do I change my apple id? Will this cause me problems with iTunes etc etc?

I have enrolled for the apple developer program but apparently already have an account with iBooks, cant have this it seems.how do I change my iBooks account, is this the apple id for my iPad and if I change this will it cause problems accessing iTunes etc?

I guess nobody knows if the crash that occured was legitimate or not?  Apple phone support could do nothing for me, so I guess I am left to drive 45 minutes to the nearest store.

    Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

    Further to my earlier post, I have just read an entry noting that if you already own a domain name, and ask your hosting service to forward and mask your iWeb '08 created, web.mac.com site to your personal domain, chances are that due to the masking of the site on web.mac.com, Safari browsers interpret the masking as being the end of the site, and as such, just return a blank page?
    This may explain the problem. However, call me old fashioned, and possibly a little naive, but surely this cannot be the problem?? It's OK in Firefox!

    my ipod uses 10.2 software, but iphone5 wants 10.7version, will this pose any problems with the content currently in itunes if I downloand straight from itunes.com?

    Your content is stored locally on your computer, when you update, it will not mess with your content at all.

  • Why was my topic deleted? This is a problem with itunes for windows!

    I'm asking why iTunes does not work on Windows ME. Don't delete my question, that's just plain rude. =/
    Answer me.

    Moving along: Windows ME may be obsolete but there
    are still large numbers of people using it. This is a
    total guess but more than 10,000 would be about
    accurate.
    Maybe some people can afford an iPod but can't afford
    a computer which will handle the upgrade from ME to XP.
    You might want to try Winamp; they just added iPod support.
    http://winamp.com/about/article.php?aid=10661
    I don't know how WELL it works with WinME, but the website does say it will. Here are the latest Winamp minimum system requirements:
    * 500MHz Pentium III or comparable
    * 64MB RAM
    * 15MB Hard Disk Space
    * 16bit Sound Card
    * Windows 98 SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003
    * 1x speed or greater CD Burner (Required for Burning)
    * 2x speed or greater CDROM (Required for Ripping)
    That's a pretty low-end system configuration, so maybe it will work for you.
    Regarding iTunes WinME support, I'm not surprised Apple doesn't want to open that bag of snakes. WinME has always been the red-headed stepchild of the Win9x series. XP is substantially different under the hood than Win9x; Apple would have quite a project to back-port their code to the 9x OS, and it's really not worth it for them given the small and dwindling installed base.
    Of course, they also want you to buy a Mac if your current Windows machine won't do what you want, which may have something to do with it too.

    Spend as much of the balance as you want, and then click here and ask that the remainder be cleared.

  • Will this cause me problems.. toshiba

    Toshiba p300. Hey I've got a laptop that had a cracked screen. Laptop hasn't been used in 2 years. There is no life in the battery. I removed screen just to make sure i could get it off before i ordered a replacement. Just realised i should have took the batter out first.. Is this going to cause me problems? Bearing in mind there is no charge in the battery..? Thanks

    No problem.
    If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

    If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
    Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

  • My iPod touch was recently stolen, and I don't know how to locate it.  What good would filing a police report with the serial number do?

    I recently got my iPod touch fourth generation stolen.  How do I get it back? I've heard of filing a police report and giving them my serial number, but what good would that do? I don't have any locater apps on it so I don't know what to do.  Helpp!!!

    If you did not set up Find My iPod on the unit before it was stolen, then there's no way to trace it. Whether filing a police report would accomplish anything I can't say, but it's all you can do. They might get lucky.
    If you purchased the iPod with a credit card, check with your card issuer and ask if they offer any sort of loss/theft coverage. Some card programs do, and would replace the iPod for you.

  • HT201263 someone changed my password as a joke and forgot what they changed it too and i don't know how to change my password on the computer please help?

    My friend changed my password as a joke and when I asked her what it was she had forgotton and I am trying to change it on the computer but do not know how to any ideas?

    If you're talking about your lock screen passcode, you can't "change it on the computer". You have to restore the phone.

  • I am using the same Apple id for my iPhone and iPad! Does this cause a problem with apps?

    I Was told I should use a whole different I'd with my iPad because if I have both my phone and iPad with the same Apple id it will cause conflict with the apps on each of them. Does this happen?

    No. I've been using the same Apple ID on my iPhone and iPad for years without problems. If fact, if both devices are yours and you use both devices having the same Apple ID on each of them is preferable.

  • J2EE already installed - will this cause a problem

    Hi all,
    I would like to download JSC, but am a little apprehensive since I already have J2EE 1.4 and pointbase installed on my machine. I have searched FAQ and there is no mention that JSC optionally installs these components and I don't wish to ruin my current environment. Are the J2EE and pointbase installed automatically with JSC?
    Cheers

    Yes, the are installed with JSC.
    Areas that could be a problem are the settins (if any) of your CLASSPATH and PATH.
    Also, port conflict with both pointbase and the app server if they are running.
    On my install, I removed the prior versions to be safe, but if you were carefull with the above issues, it should not be a problem. It is the same app server and point base though, and they can be run outside of the IDE for other work you may be doing...
