Serial number entry after posting delivery doc......

hi experts....
we have a requirement in which in the standard sales cycle of Sales order->delivery document posting ( PGI)-> invoice billing  the client wants that serial number entry (which is done at the time of PGI) should be done after invoicing(at the end of the day) because as per the business practice of the client, its not practically feasible for the client to enter serial numbers at the time of selling the finished material. The client manually records the serial numbers on the invoice copy and enters the serial numbers for the respective invoices at the end of the day.
Now while testing the client scenario we found that once PGI & invoicing has been done without entering the serial number for the material, the system does not accept any serial number assignment for that material after the completion of sales cycle.
So is there any solution in which serial number can be entered for a material whose PGI and invoicing has been completed?

Hello,
As you know the system may not allow to enter the serial number details in the delivery --> Extras --> Serial numbers field, once the delivery is completely PGI'ed and invoiced.
But you may change the same in the table by debug mode. You need to update serial number in the material document in the table level also. Contact your ABAP expert, he may be able to guide you properly.

    Adobe took down the CS and CS2 activation servers, but they put up a version of CS2 for those who previously had a license to it.
    You will need to download the software from here, and use the serial number given on these pages. Follow the directions on this link, and you will soon be up and running again.

    First be sure login and password are OK. Sometimes the address starts wit "http://..." and sometime starts with "ftp://...". Try both normal FTP access and Scure FTP access (SFTP). At the end, contact the site's provider.

  • Audition CS6 requires a Serial number entry at every startup

    Audition CS6 requires a serial number entry everytime I start the program.  How do I fix this.?  It is very annoying and If I get locked out of the program before I  fix the dance recital music  Its not going to go well for me here.

    You don't say whether you are on Windows or not, but if so you might try running the program once as an Administrator. Once the serial has been accepted, then try running as a regular user.

  • Serial Number Entry Funtion

    Is there any way to set the serial number entry funtion DisplayUUTInformationDialog to be modal or floating? I want it to stay on top of the user interface when I scroll through the sequence steps or report for example. I would have thought this would be selectable some way. Like the message pop-up.

    You can override the PRE UUT (http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370052N-01/tsexamples/infotopics/process_model_parallel/).
    Skip the existing UUT dialog steps and replace with your own steps which gets the serial number ( using message popup or LV or any other language).
    Since its a custom step you can make it the way you want it - modal or non modal.
    The default serial number dialog in not modal.
    It does the following function which your custom serial step should do :
    On user clicking ok on the serial number dialog the parameters.UUT.serial number is updated with the user defined serial number.
    Also you need to update the paramters.continue testing if user clicks cancel on the serial dialog.

  • Serial number request after transfer

    Following many reinstallations when transfering my complete catalog of PE 8, I now receive this message when switching fron Organizer to Editor:
    - I have deactivate this serial number on one of my PC and I can ask Adobe now to validate this number;
    - I have a new serial number...;
    -  I want to solve this problem later (5 days remaining).
    What should I do since I do not want to to deactivate now on my old PC before I am completely sure of the transfer. So I must continue workig for now.
    Beside my intention woul be to up grade to PE 10 some day, Should I do it now in order to solve everyting? In that case what w will happen with the old catalog? Must I keep version 8 on the PC?
    Help please

    It does’nt seem to cover PE 8 so it does not solve my problem.

  • Dreamweaver CS4 serial number invalidated after 8 months of use

    In January 2nd 2014, I purchased an OEM version of Dreamweaver CS4 for Windows from a reseller called "Smart Shop" which looked like a serious outfit [emails from Jet Support were received with a link to "Access your order and customer support http://appscustomerscare.com"]. A serial number was obtained. I downloaded the program from their site  and installed it without any problem: When I launched the application, the serial number was inserted and the Adobe server validated it: the application worked seamlessly for more than 8 months.
    Yesterday, when I launched Dreamweaver CS4, a dialog box showed up stating the the serial number used was invalid! I used the serial number that I had been given to activate Dreamweaver but the form showed a red X at the end of the serial number meaning the the serial number was invalid.

    I am using serial number. But in this scenario the Cleint would get to know the serial number after billing. The client also wants to do Invoicing after PGI only.
    So in short i wnt to enter serial number after PGI .

    Hi there,
    Once delivery is PGI'ed you cannot make any changes to the delivery doc. All the fields will be greyed out.
    Standard SAP doesnot allow you to make any changes after delivery is PGI'ed. If your client requirement insists on that then check in SAPMV50A if you can put any customized logic.
    Also just for clarification, why do you want to enter the serial num manually? Its always advisible to automatically allow the system to generate them. How does your client decide on the serial num format?

  • SHPCON serial number updates item on delivery but not item in HU

    I am using SHPCON to update the item on delivery with serial numbers.  After that I use SHPCON to pack that same item in a handling unit.  From the pack screen I should be able to select the item and hit the serial number button and see the serial number.  Instead it says there is no serial number on the item.  I populated E1EDL11 under E1EDL24 to get the serial number on the item.  I also tried during packing populating E1EDL46 under the HU item E1EDL44 but that doesn't work either.
    Anybody run into this issue?

    If your Sloc is HU managed then need to maintain serial numbers in HU only.
    i think you are doing packing at shipment level, HU should packed and serial numbers assigned then finally assigned to shipment document.

  • Help - Photoshop serial number problems after Premiere demo- AIR ??

    Hi- Ive been a licensed owner of Photoshop since 1997. In 2003, because I was a teacher on the east coast for an accredited school on the west coast that had students in my area, I bought CS1 for my (2) new identical XP computers. In 2007, I bought (2) new indentical Windows Vista computers and installed CS1 on one of them and used it until the C drive (Seagate series 7200.1) crashed in May of 2010. I then re-installed CS1 onto that Vista machine and used it with no problems until January of 2011 when I installed a demo of Adobe Premiere video editing software. Shortly after installing the Premiere demo software, I got a pop up that said to "Re-activate Photoshop".
    To this day, I have not been able to use Photoshop. The install and activation went as expected, GoLive works fine, but whenever I try to start Photoshop, I get a popup error that says "Could not complete your request because of missing or invalid personalization information." I tried uninstall-reinstall but Photoshop wont open and I still get that error. I also noticed that the serial number area of the Photoshop splashscreen is scrambled, meaning instead of having the serial number and the name of my computer that is suppose to be there, it has a sting of strange characters like this: Home.>:::Computer"""@%#>]
    I tried numerous call to Adobe, they said try this and that, I did all those things and yet my Photoshop still does not work and the serial number is scrambled. The Adobe support people also tell me "CS1 is not approved for Vista so we don't support install problems". CS1 installs fine- always has, but now there's something wrong with my serial number-to which they basically replied: Upgrade to CS5, OR post on the forum. I don't want CS5, I just want my Photoshop software back according to the license agreement. So I am here asking if anyone has any suggestions or insights.
    One thing I noticed during one of the re-insatll attempts is that even though I unisntalled the Premier demo, there was something left behind in my Vista programs list. It is called "AIR". I have tried to uninsatll it numerous times, but it wont uninstall.
    Any suggestions or insights?

    Mmh, sounds like Adobe AIR has meddled with your local port/ socket configuration. That would also explain the jibberish in your serial input field - it cannot properly connect to the activation service and only spits out the URI path. Have you tried booting in safe mode sans network support? This may allow to get rid of Adobe AIR... Otehr than that the opposite may work - download the manual AIR installer, run it, let AIR run it's update and then try to uninstall it from there.

  • Partner in equipment/serial number deleted after MIGO_GR

    I am performing a goods receipt (Movement type -101) using MIGO or MB01 for a serialized material/equipment and the partner functions maintained in the equipment master record are deleted upon processing of the goods receipt.
    Following are the steps followed which leads to this problem:
    Step 1. Creation of a stock transport order (Transaction- ME21N)
    Step 2. Stock transfer Plant to Plant (Transaction - MB1B) and Movement Type - 351.
    Note: After execution of Step2, partner functions maintained in the equipment are present
    Step 3. Goods Receipt (Transaction MIGO_GR or MB01) and Movement Type -101.
    Note: After execution of Step 3, partner functions maintained in the equipment are deleted.
    Can you assist in this matter as the partner functions are a key master data maintained in the equipment and are lost upon goods movement. I had raised a call with SAP OSS and refer to note 734348, which refers to partner sychronization.

    This is a bit vast, but I'll try to address at least some of the issues:
    1- serial number in operation confirmation is not possible, for the reason that serailization is part of stock management, and as WIP in an order, this is not stock yet. Actually you cannot confirm the manufactured material either, and those 2 go together.
    For tracking specificly WIP, there's something called WIP batches; you may look into it to see if you can use it.
    2- during GR system will propose those SNs that you have defined for the order at release or creation.
    3- ?
    4- GI in CO11N is provided only for BACKFLUSHED material components. Serialized materials CANNOT be backflushed.
    5- You can use a barcode reader to read the serial number (instead of keyboard entry) when cursor is on the right field in the respective screen.

  • Serial number during GI posting REM scenario

    HELLO ALL,
    We are having repetitive manufacturing scenario, we want serial numbers to be entered during goods issue posting (MFBF tranaction), please suggest what should be done.
    I have configured in OIS2 and serialisation attributes for movement types for procedure MMSL with movement types 261 & 131.
    When I do production booking through MFBF, system is asking for header material serial number however it is not asking the serial number for components for which serilization procedure is set as mandatory.
    Moreover system is giving the error message "Message no. IO304"
    Only 0 serial numbers entered instead of 1

    Diagnosis
    There is a serial number obligation, so the number of serial numbers must equal the number of serial numbers in the material document.
    You can post the operation only if you entered the correct number of serial numbers previously.
    System Response
    Depending on the context in which the error arises, the system continues processing, or the required function cannot be performed.
    Procedure
    You have the following options, for example:
    Check that the serial numbers are entered fully.
    If necessary, display an error log.
    If necessary, contact your system administrator.
    please suggest how to enter serial numbers  when posting the GI for components.

    Like production orders the serial number are not maintained to orders. The serial numbers are created prior
    to backflush (MFBF) with IQ01 or IQ04. The documented goods movement posted along with serial number
    at the backflush posting. Also in case of backflush reversal system reveres the status from AVLB to ESTO.
    Serial number management is effective way of inventory monitoring and tracking. It is advisable to use in
    sectors like consumer electronics, automobiles, and assembly units. Apart from inventory it is also useful in
    after sales customer services where warranty plays important role.
    Also you can create serial number during Goods receipt of Purchase order for component parts need to have seperate
    z-program for this .
