i have FF 15, and want to update to FF 18. I have 30 pages in my browser that I can't lose. When I typically shutdown/restart my computer FF always will restore my previous session. My questions is, after an update will FF restore like a normal restart with all the pages?

If you have set Firefox to restore your pages, then yes they will restore just like a normal restart.

I think you are talking about grouping objects.
1. They must all be floating objects
2. Command click on each in turn

Your signature states iPhone 3G, is that accurate? I ask because the end of the line for the 3G is 4.2.1. If it were possible to update that device beyond 4.2.1 it would involve hacking or jailbreaking which means you cannot get support here.

I have a file in my downloads that I can't delete

So basically I have a file on my computer that I can't delete at all. The computer says its a disk image. I can't drag it anywhere or move it into the trash. When I try to move it into the trash the trash turns into an eject sign but when I put it over it nothing happens. Please help me delete this it is annoying.

Would you post a snapshot of the file along with the context menu when you right-click on the file itself. Should include:

Lion 10.7.5 is as far as you can go. You must have at least 2 GBs of installed RAM.
Upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion or Mountain Lion

hi alan i run a business on ebay selling photos and negs. i recently installed yosemite and it locked my entire library on iphoto. when i try to download the app to free it from ishop it tells me there is a fault with the app and my iphoto is frozen. i am basically out of work and finding it very hard to find someone who can help me unlock it.. look at the things being said about this yosemite locking this.....freezing that... be very careful if you need your business for your livelyhood. the actual performance is really good.....better display ...much faster and well presented but is it worth having parts of your compy put out of action i possibly think not. i am new to this community so hopefully someone reading this may be able to advise us both.....paul

You cannot "update" from what you have to any of the applications you mention. It will have to be a straight purchase or subscription at full price.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.
Lightroom is all about volume, and very light editing.

A 3gs can go up to 6.1.3.
Need the latest version of itunes.

Always backup your important data before upgrading to a new Mac OS X.
Lion doesn't erase the drive but better to be safe than sorry.
And run Disk Utility (Applications/Utilities). Verify and if necessary repair the startup disk before upgrading.
