I took my iPhone running today and when I returned I was not able to slide it open or type in my pass code. All buttons are still responding. When I try to play an itunes purchased movie it says I have to authorize this computer. When I put in my log in information it says this computer is already authorized and will still not play the move. I have tried to deauthorize and reauthorize this computer, delete and reinstall itunes and Quicktime and nothing works; the purchased movies still will not play
I'm having the same problem on my new iMac. First it tells me it's not authorized to play the songs, then when I enter my password, it tells me it's already authorized, but still won't play them. I tried deleting a song and going to the store to redownload it and got charged for it! I've got hundreds of songs, so that's not going to be an option.
In addition, I have quite a few songs from a very old Apple ID, one I forgot I even had, I have no idea what the password was and no way to have the system send me a new password because I no longer have access to that email account.
The Mac I just "retired" could play all the songs in my catalog just fine. This new one won't play the majority of them.

Please repost in the Final Cut Pro forum. Have you considered upgrading your machine, if you are still running Leopard your machine may be as old as 5 years old. While this should not matter you probably won't get the performance you want out of a demanding app like FCP.

I have forgotten my apple ID password for email and iTunes but can't access retrieve emails
I can't get current emails to my I cloud account as its saying my password is incorrect. I can't then access the retrieve email for new password. I've also forgotten my security questions. Please help !
If you've forgotten your account's password then you might be able to get it reset via this page http://iforgot.apple.com
If you've forgotten the answers to your security questions then if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 -

I am get this message on my Ipad and have followed the instructions, connect the Ipad, lock the screen and connected to a Wi-Fi connection - however I have done this but I still get the message on the screen. I am running windows xp and have tried chnaging the resolution to 1024 x 768 or highre and am still finding that not all the options on i tunes are displayed on my pc. I have also tried unistalling and reinstalling the software but to no avail. At present all the left hand tabs are missing and the info and summary tabs are missing which means i cannot sync etc

Am struggling to get online through my i-phone at home. It is fine at work where I have signal (but I go through the work wifi anyway), whereas at home I cannot get online at all, despite having strong wifi signal and disabling my data roaming on the phone. I am not very good with technology! Can anyone work out what I'm doing wrong please?
If the modem is also a router, either use the modem in bridge and run pppoe client on the TC.. that is assuming ADSL or similar eg vdsl. If it is cable service.. and the modem is a router, then bridge the TC.. go to internet page and select connect by ethernet and below that set connection sharing to bridge.
Please tell us more about the modem if the above gives you issues. -
My MacBookPro works fine on both primary and guest networks. HP info shows excellent signal strength. Web page won't open. Tried reducing security level from WPA2personal to WPA. Tried entering TCP/IP addresses manually in HP. I'm told that the HP works with other WiFi routers and can access Internet through other WPA2 setups. I'm out of ideas. Help?
With a PC, the Windows Firewall and/or the anti-virus software will sometimes block an attempted Internet connection.
Check both applications to see if you can find a "blocked" item and then take steps to "allow" the connection.
If still no luck, temporarily disable the wireless security for a short period to see if the PC can connect that way. If it can.....then you know it is security related issue.
See if the PC can connect using a setting like WPA-PSK-TKIP. The equivalent Apple setting would be WPA/WPA2 Personal. -

What error do you receive when trying to activate?
Are you using the same Carrier as your friend, or a different one?
If different Carrier, are you certain the iPhone is unlocked? A locked device will of course prevent you from using SIM cards not from the Original Carrier that the device was locked too. -
