I have found an iPod shuffle and so know the serial number. How do I find its owner?

I found an Ipod Shuffle and I called Apple Support desk to return it to the rightfull owner. I offered them to send my contact details to the owner. And then the owner can contact me if he likes. They refused to do this as it is a privacy issue. They advised me to bring it to the local police who can send the request to a special e-mail address of Apple. But I know that normally the police won't bother. And Apple will like this probably, as the previous owner will buy a new Apple device.

Hey fashion fix97, Sorry to hear you lost your iPod. Knowing the serial number is of little use. Apple will do nothing to help find your iPod. Report the iPod lost / stolen to the police. Try looking at lost and founds if lost in a public area. You'll have to go physically look for iPod like it was a lost wallet. Having a serial number won't help you track it.
If you set up and activate find my iphone on your iphone, then go to icloud.com and sign in to track your phone.
That is the only way to track your phone.
contact your cellphone provider and local authority.

No. The serial number does nothing at all to help you locate it.
IF you set up find my ipod on the ipod itself BEFORE it was stolen AND it is on AND it is connected to wi-fi AND the thief has not restored it, then you may be able to get an approximate street address from icloud.
Otherwise, there is no way to track it.

2 days ago i formatted my Mac. Now i am trying to reinstall my Creative Suite. I downloaded the program from the adobe website, because i couldn't found DVD. But program doesn't accept my Serial Number, it doesn't match.
I am also not sure about the Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium, but it is written on my registered Adobe account, so also the Serial Number
How can i find the right download for my Serial Number?

Adobe might be able to say, but most people here are not Adobe employees. Try contacting Adobe thru chat. You will likely need to share your account information with them in order to determine which program you might own.
