Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

Somewhat much later query but I do have a related one. I've purchased my iPad 2 in India in October past. Using an adaptor for Canada I seem to have no problems charging it. Now I'm travelling to Chile and I see there is a 'similarity' in the two prongs on the electrical cord which came with the iPad (India) AND a similar pair of dual prongs used in Chile. I note Chile also uses a 3 - prong (horizontal) outlet. Query - Should I have any concern re the different currents used ; Canada 120V - 60 Hz versus Chile 220 - 50 Hz, or as noted earlier the iPad takes care of that with its built in converter. Message says I need an extension to download itunes. Got a message saying coupon alerts were causing problems to delete. I deleted "coupon alerts" in control panel and then deleted itunes to free up space thinking I could just go into itunes through web and pull up my account and hear my music. Obviously im not an avid computer person. Now I can't even download or open itunes without this extension and when it says search web there are tons and I have no idea which one is safe and which ones contain viruses etc. can anyone help me resolve and suggest and explain what I should do about getting the proper extension and if I may have one already in computer.

I am trying to upload a video from my iPad to my laptop (Windows 7). But when I am asked to import pictures/videos it says there are no files found. Even when I manually search for them from my laptop, I can't find them but I know for a fact that there are videos on the iPad. Please help

If you imported the pictures using iTunes, then there's no direct way to get them off as they will not show in the DCIM folder. That fodler will only contian pictures you take with the iPad or save from websites, email or other Apps on the iPad.
If the photos no longer exist in the originating computer (the one you synced them from), then you'll need a 3rd party application to get them off.

Note that synced phbotos are optimized for the iPad so may not be the exactly the same as the original photo was on the PC.

My Mac has only got 5.6.1 Airport loaded on it. Just bought AirPort Extreme and says need to have at least 6.1 or newer. Computer wont let me download 6.1 says its not compatible. Dose this mean i need to buy a new computer to use it?

Yes the purchases were made though my apple id.
I have looked at a few other questions on this topic and I have read that the app data is stored in the backup file but the apps themselves need to be synced back onto the ipad. Someome has mentioned right clicking on sync my ipad but I don't know where to find that to right click on!! Lol.
Again, I really appreciate your time and if by any chance you know where I can 'right click' I would really appreciate you letting me know as I can't get my ipad to sync with my pc at all, although it is being picked up in itunes and it has backed up to itunes okay. iTunes Match is not sharable across Apple IDs. The best way to get the music on her iPad is to leave hers signed into her Apple ID on the iTunes Store and sync via USB.

There is no Siri "icon". You access Siri using the Home button. But you may need to turn it on: Settings App > General > Siri. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4992
Same for the FaceTime function (but if it is ON, there will be an icon): Settings App > FaceTime > [turn it on and set you Apple ID. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4319

You are long past any upgrade eligibility and only can buy a fresh license. And since even CS6 isn't exactly 100% compatible with Yosemite the sensible thing to do would be to sign up for Creative Cloud.
