I have just got a nano but as soon as i connectd to my pc it refused to load to to driver error 43 with the dvice. any ideas?

i have just installed i tunes and set everything up ready to sync my new nano for the first time but as soon as i conncted it, that was it it no longer worked. i was able to turn on the power and get the home screen but now it wont even turn on. it has also siad exactly the same thing on another pc so im pretty sure its the pod and not the laptop
in the device properties it is due to error 43 and i think it has 5.1 version of its software installed. any help would be great before i resort to sending it back

no idea what happened or why but is now working just held every button on the ipod untill in shwed life again, tried to connect the same as before and now works.

Welcome to the Apple community.
Try exporting and importing them in small bundles, there may be a problem with one or more specific cards. If you are able to isolate them, you could then import those particular cards manually.

You will need either the system DVD's that came with the MacBook or a retail Snow Leopard DVD...

You showed a kernel panic file from OS X, apprantly Log Me In is installed into OS X or running when you log in.
You should be using the developers installer/unistaller to remove Log Me In from OS X.
Somehow it's in OS X, I don't know, but it's there and you need to remove it. I'm not dealing with Windows, just OS X.
Talk to Log Me In people and find out what is installed where so you can do a manual deletion out of OS X.
If that doesn't work, you have to reboot holding the Shift key down manually search for any Log Me In or Himachi files on your computer, in your System/Library/Extensions folder too, use the free Easy Find.

On my Vista PC, I can download HotSyncLog.htm on Internet Explorer but get an error with Firefox. Any ideas why?

Does anyone know why I can't see the HotSyncLog.htm file (after a HotSync) when Firefox is my default browser, but it comes up fine when I switch back to Internet Explorer? Thank you

This is a compatibility issue. The log is formated for IE support, not the Modzilla engine based browsers. If you do decide to make a non IE-based browser as default for your pc, you will need to right-click on the HotSyncLog.htm file and select Open With option to there select IE to check it out for Windows will keep going to Firefox.

For anyone following, I looked further into the tape cassette adapter and it seems to get the best reviews vs. FM transmitter. Guess there is a good reason that I have the last year model with a tape cassette. Worth mentioning is the Maxell one gets a better review than the Monter one. Not sure why, but it's cheaper. Do a factory reset .. nothing will be deleted from your backups and you will be able to get access to them again.
The Factory Reset Gen1-4.
Unplug your TC. Hold in reset. and power the TC back on.. without releasing reset for about 10sec. When the status light flashes rapidly; release it.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.

Unpair the headset from the phone with the problem. Restart the phone (hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears), the pair the headset again. Also, look for things nearby that may be causing interference in the Bluetooth band. Cordless phones are a common cause of interference.
