Welcome to the Apple community.
You will need to work out why they are ineligible, are they the wrong format, are the file sizes simply too large or is the data rate at which the audio was iencoded too low.

HT203167 my brother passed away in jan.i had his ipods which were stolen from my car. they were only synced to his computer. we no longer have that computer.i know his apple id & password. can i get this much and put on new ipod?

slide to the most left screen where you have a search input box type in the name of the song
if you want it to your computer sync the iphone with the computer
if you can't locate it anywhere then maybe you didn't download it
also you can only download songs from itunes not from websides as you don't have access to a filesystem on the iphone so you can't download from websites

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with syncing music to your iPod. For issues like this, I recommend resyncing the music to your iPod.
If you are syncing automatically, resync content to the iPod by unchecking "Sync Music" and clicking "Apply," then checking "Sync Music" and clicking "Apply" again.

New to itunes managed to download a song to laptop but cant get on to ipod nano(plugged into laptop) or iphone or ipad

I have sorted it myself!!
Ipod is now in the top right corner, last time I clicked on it, it ejected it but by clicking on the actual ipod icon then it brings up your ipod. I restored it to factory settings and synced all my music and it now works again. Hope this can help anyone who ends up with the same problem.

I should mention that, for the first problem, I do make sure that my new tracks are stored in the folder where I told iTunes that my music is in. Also, when I say the cataloging of my library stops short of cataloging all my songs, I have tried leaving the computer unattended for days (my computer's sleep mode is disabled). It always stops before cataloging all of my music regardless of whether I am doing something else while iTunes is cataloging, or if I just let iTunes be the only program that's open during the cataloging process.

I have downloaded every update and my battery life is better than any previous iPhone I have ever owned. I see posts from hundreds of people every day, and this is not a commonly reported problem. I have these movies downloaded on the old computer from digital hd redeemed codes: Fantastic Mr. Fox, Super 98, Thor, Inception, The Hunger Games, and Star Trek Into Darkness. I bought Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl on itunes with money, and that one isn't showing up either. When I search it on itunes to see if I can just re-download it, that isn't an option. I would have to buy it again. Home Sharing isn't what I want because the old computer will not be here forever and it is not connected to wifi.
It's kind of a lot of movies, and I want them on the new computer.

Your signature lists both, Mac and iOS device - are you asking about GarageBand on your Mac or your iPhone/iPad?
If you are asking about the upgrade from GarageBand '11 to GarageBand 10.0 on your Mac, the old GarageBand version should still be installed. The installer will have moved GarageBand '11 to a separate folder "GarageBand 6.0.5" in your Applications folder. Open this folder and click "GarageBand". Does this version still see your old projects? If not, type ".band" into the Spotlight searchfield in the upper right corner of your screen. Does that sfind your missing projects?
If you are asking about GarageBand on iPad/iPhone, there it is not possible to restore the previous version after you upgraded. And I do not see, how this upgrade could have deleted your projects. Have they completely vanished, or can you not open them any longer? If your projects have vanished, restore your device from your backup: See: iCloud: Backup and restore overview

The sync is one way - computer to iphone.
You need to copy everything from your old computer to your new one.

Hello all - I had the same problem with my iPod Touch - The problem with mine was that it started happening when I added new music to my iPod Touch it started skipping most of the songs when I tried playing it in my car stereo, it would only play some songs but not all (my solution) - I back tracked and deleted ALL the NEW songs that I had added recently and after deleting ALL the new songs I tested my iPod Touch and it started working normal again so the problem wasn't the iPod Touch the problem was one or more of the new songs I added was corrupted and it was causing my iPod to skip most of the songs I tried to play - Nothing I tried was helping NOTHING - All you need to do is back track to all the songs you added recently and delete them until your iPod Touch starts functioning normal again...Hope this helps it sure helped me ;-)

So to your problem, when you say:

What exactly happened? Did you have a Time Machine backup?
