I have no idea how or who to call to block service data!
I have a KIN 2, and I really need to block my service data, because it racked up to $184.39! And I don't even know how! I thought wifi was free... like idk LOL I just would like to block it so that it would stop overcharging! Thanks..
In features under my account: This is how I disabled ALL data transmission. I live in the Mountains, I can't get Data even if I wanted to, yet I found Back Up Assistant racking up the Data on my LG Cosmos.

The trouble may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Then, still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return. -
I recently bought, from the original website of Adobe, Photoshop elements 13. However, when I go with my mouse pointer over the menu, It hangs or he works very slow. Does anyone have an idea how I can fix it? I have already downloaded updates, both from Adobe and Windows. I have a new pc with window 8.1.
It could be a coincidence, but I rebooted the machine and (knock on wood) PSE13 seems to be working ok.

ThanksFirst of all, Excel file can't save to iBook. (iBook only can view PDF files). That's why you don't see it in "open in" options. In order for you to save excel, you will need a third party app like Numbers, Office2. There are a few free apps that can use to view. I used Office2 from Byte2, because I can not only store and view later, I can do some edit too. Especially when you want to edit a few numbers and re send them to my office or clients will be very useful for me.

I accidentally quit my CC on my Macbook pro and now the cloud icon is grayed out and every time I hover over it with the mouse I get the spinning beach ball of death on the icon. I have no idea how to open it because when I use spotlight search to open it it gives me a message saying "Creative Cloud is not open anymore" help!
Since you didn't include any pertinent info such as the Mac model and OS version you are running, here is some general information:

Depending on which OS yours came with originally - and which OS you are now running - you would either need your original install disks - you can call Apple for replacements by giving them your serial number. Or you may be able to reinstall the OS by using recovery (again, depends on which model/which OS). -

I own the movies and I want them to stay in my iTunes library basically forever.
But in both cases the file name no longer shows in the movie list, so I don't know how to re-download it from the Cloud.
iTunes prefs > Store > Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
This will show all your iTunes purchases in your library with a cloud icon down arrow. Click the icon to redownload or click on Play to stream without downloading.

and techncially, you don't "own" the movie, You simply have a license to use it.
Yet the first thing iTunes does when you hit the delete key is tell you that it will remove the movie forever from all devices and the library.

FYI: You should keep copies of all yoru iTnue spurahses as the labels/movie studios/copyright owners can pull their product at anytime and it won't be available to redownload.

I have no idea how to set up a pie chart for tracking spending with categories
This is what I want to do to help me track my credit card spending.
I want to make a Numbers sheet where i can jot down how much money i spent on a item, and what category that item would go with (example, food, electronics, gas, so on).
and then i want to have a pie chart that will show much how much money i'm spending in each category and how much of a percentage of the total each category takes up of the whole.
I have no idea how to set this up in a sheet. I tried typing it in a few times and every time i go to make a pie chart, it never shows me any of the results i want to see.

Create a table with the categories and the data (for now you can make up the data):
Now add a chart from the Charts menu in the toolbar:
Now click the "Add Chart Data" button just below the chart.
Now select data (from column B) in the table. Last trick is to click the menu at the bottom-left corner of the window and change the selection to "Plot rows as series" :
Now add formulas to the table to properly summarize the data from your data entry table using the sumif() function. -
I purchased a Yamaha PSR-E323 61-key digital keyboard. I recorded some parts of songs out of the blue that I really like. I don't know what I was playing. It was just something that sounded good at the moment and im going to have to leave my keyboard somewhere unaccesable in two days. So im trying to get my recordings onto my laptop so I can translated the peices into notaion that way. Problem is I have no idea how. I purchased a 1-in/1-out USB MIDI interfae by M-AUDIO. I have a midi in and out put in my keyboard. And I have garageband on my macbook. But no knowledge. And the only reason I havent tried anything yet is because im scared I'll delet the pre-recorded songs on the keyboard that i want to transfer if I connect it to my computer. Can anyone help? In my Yamaha owners manual it only mentions the midi in and out with pc's.

Need help- have no idea how to install original airport on G3 Powerbook
I just bought an ornignal airport card on ebay. I have no idea how to install it (i think it goes under the keyboard, but specifically where?) also, it didn't come with any software...do I need some kind of driver? I am so confused. All I know is that I spent over $100 for this thing and would love it if I could get it to work. Really want to go wireless...can anyone please help. (already checked all over the support page and called apple and asked them to point me in the right direction, but have gotten no where. thanks in advance.

I get the impression you cannot return the AirPort card...this would be my first choice. Since the card is not recognized, either the card is bad or your powerbook has a hardware issue (doubtful).
Do you have an Apple Store nearby?

My browser will not load a page or update unless I am actively moving my cursor or typing. If I select a page and don't do anything then it doesn't load at all. I have no idea how this happened or how to fix it. Thanks.

Hi I have an I pad 64 gig and internal wifi bought about 2 months ago. it keeps coming up with a message "this i pad has not been backed up" I have no idea how to do it can you help.
I also have an I phone 4s with the same message both are with telstra the I pad has a 12 month pre paid wifi contract and the phone is on a monthly contract.Sounds like you actually paying for cellular service and you really need to be on wifi to backup your ipad/iphone.
Normally you have to be connected to wifi and you can do manual backup by going to Settings- icloud- storage and backup and pressing backup now button. Start with your ipad, usually size of the backup smaller and return here if you encounter a problem. -
I have 7600 duplicates on my itunes account. I have no idea how this happened and want to delete the duplicates en mass.
Is it possible? How would I do it?

TODDIf you've recently created a bunch of duplicates then, with the main Music playlist showing, hold down Option (Mac) or Shift (PC) and then the menu File > Display Exact Duplicates. Sort the resulting list on the Date Added field, select the range of tracks representing the recent imports which you know to be duplicates and delete.
To delete any older duplicates scattered through the library sort the list in a conventional order like Album by Artist and delete all but one copy of each cluster of identical tracks.
Normally when you delete the duplicate entries from the library you will also want to delete the underlying files, however in certain circumstances it is possible for iTunes to make two separate entries to the same physical file on your hard drive. In this case deleting the file for the one entry will break the other one. If possible try to work out which type of duplicates you have before deleting any files, and check that the remaining entries play before emptying the trash.

That's not an Apple ID. That is your admin account which you can view in System Preferencs > Accounts or Users & Groups.

The old Apple ID (presumably your dads) owns those songs and your new Apple ID does not. However, your dad can authorize your iD to use the songs by going to Store > Authorize This Computer from your iTunes menu and entering his Apple ID and password.
