I have purchased numbers for my ipad with a gift card and have sufficient credit. I wanted to aslo buy the version for the imac, but it keeps on telling me "unknown eror" when i press buy app.
Credit from a gift card is tied to your Apple ID & can be used in the iTunes Store or the Mac App Store. I'm not sure if it works in the online Apple Store, though. You do need to be running at least Snow Leopard 10.6.6 to access the Mac App Store. Click on the buy link on this page to open the Mac App Store to Numbers.

You will only be able to use one account at a time with the Apple TV. This will mean that you can only rent or purchase content from one account, you would need to log out and into the other account in order to rent or purchase from that.
You should however, be able to use content from both accounts in iTunes on your computer, provided that the content from the account that you are not logged into is authorised to be played on that computer. Consequently you should be able to AirPlay content from both accounts to the Apple TV from iTunes or play content from both accounts via the computer section on the Apple TV. -

The credit should be on your account.
You shoudl not have to re-enter anything.
It should stay on your account where you can access it from any computer/device with itunes.

No, terms of use for gift cards clearly state that they can only be used for the purchase of content from the store, such as movies, music, games, etc.

The general rule of thumb for Internet sales is that if the retailer does NOT have a store located in your state, they do not have to charge state sales tax. If the retailer does have a store in your state, they do have to charge the tax. However, some retailers charge the tax regardless.

I have a gmail account set up on my mac. A few days ago I sent an email with photos in it and this email now is continuosly being recovered. In the meantime my inbox has stopped downloading new messages, even when i press Get New Mail. How can I stop the repeated recovery of the email and how can I get my inbox to download again?
OK, I persevered and used the Rebuild mailbox option on Mail, actually had to do it twice, but now when I boot up and Mail opens all the previously received iCloud messages I've read on iPhone/iPad are pushed through.

Hi i recently ordered a new mac computer for school and received the 100 dollar gift card. However my family already has an itunes account on our home desktop. I also share this itunes account on my new laptop, but i was wondering if i put my itunes gift card on my computer will my family be able to use the gift card too?
The balance will show up on any computer/device that has itunes if you sign into your account.

RonFirst, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without be charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this. -
I bought a iTunes card and I summited in my iPad, now that I want to used it to pay for Apps, it seems that it doesn't want to used the balance available from the iTunes card,
I disconect and connect back so, it can see the iTunes balance, but when is looking to connect it said that the connection with iTunes Store is impossible. Now I have apss that need updates and I can do it because I have a negative balance and a credit available in the iTunes card.
How can I make it switch to used the balance available.
