I am trying to use earbuds with my iPad Earliest version with updated running system. How do I get the sound to only come through the esrbuds and not be audible to everyone around me? Thanks!

That's strange.
You should inky be getting audio from the headphones.
Make sure that they are plugged in all the way.
If they aren't, you will get both audio.
Turn up the volume on your ipad with the buttons.
where it shows the bell, it should say Headphones.

Are you aware of that you can still use Pages 09 on Mavericks? You don't have to go thru the grieves of using the crippled Pages 5. Pages 09 should bi in Applications/iWork 09 folder.

The Apple TV will put itself to sleep. I'm not sure what you needed to log into again, but you shouldn't have to. Do you have a little more detail about what happens.

Co-el, This wasn't possible as there wasn't a navigation bar available. The F11 did the trick though. Thanks for adding to the discussion.

IdeaTab s6000 F - Sound only comes from the left side when using headphones

I have tried four different headphones including a set of Beats and the sound only comes out of the left side. It just started doing this three-four days ago. I have tried resetting the tablet back to factory but it did not work. Is there any way to get this to work? I would hate to have to return it as I love the tablet besides this one issue.

I’m sorry to hear that Audio is not working as expected from right side in your S6000-F Tablet even after performing the Factory reset, as the issue persists this seems to be hardware related. I would Strongly Suggest Calling Technical Support for Assistance to get the details of nearest Authorized Service Center to get the issue analyzed.

Is there a way to have audio only come through the optic cable and video come only through HDMI on Apple TV 3rd Gen?

I currently have a digital optic cable hook up from my Apple TV 3 to my receiver and a HDMI hook up from my Apple TV 3to my flat screen. The audio is coming out of my TV speakers and receiver at the same time. I was wonder if there was a way to switch the audio output from the Apple TV 3 to the digital optic cable and only have video come out of the HDMI? I really only plan on using my receiver for the audio for my Apple TV 3. I know that I can just mute the TV but I wanted to know if there was a way to switch the feed. Thanks

There is an option on my TV but if I do that I lose all my audio on the TV. I have 3 HDMI ports on my Flat Screen. One is for my cable, one is for my PS3 (BTW the PS3 has an option to switch the audio feed so it will come out of the digital optic cable and leave video for the HDMI), and the last one is for my Apple TV 3. If I switch to external speakers I will lose my audio for the cable. I was hoping there was a way to switch the audio feed on the Apple TV 3.

I have them plugged into the right slot but it comes through both the headphones and the laptop. I updated the drivers and ran a systems check with the HP Support Assistant but it couldnt find anything. Is it just a setting problem or is it something wrong with the hardware?

Trying to transfer iTunes library from old windows 7 pc to new windows 8.1. Used home sharing, but not what I wanted, I want everything on the new so I can discard the old pc - so now all I have is my music library on new pc thru the cloud none of my Audible audiobooks came over - My question is do I need to delete iTunes off my new pc before I load it in from a external hard drive?

You might need to make sure neither is going to sleep (System Prefs > Energy Saver)
Also check your settings under System Prefs > Security. My sisters new laptop kept logging off due to some setting there.

My sound only works through the ear phones with some apps....

With some apps (Games and books) I can only get sound on my IPAD 2 though the earphones...this just recently occured. With movies the sound goes through the speakers just fine. Is there some adjustment I can make so I can hear the games without using the ear phones?

Make sure that you haven't got notifications muted (which will affect most games, but not iPod or Videos apps, nor earphones). Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to, notifications can either be muted by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar (the function that the switch isn't performing is on the task bar instead) : double-click the home button to bring up the task bar, slide the bar to the right, and it's the icon far left. Why do you need to disable the antivirus program to upgrade Adobe Acrobat?

Either use different icloud IDs (accounts) on each device, or on the iPad, turn off iMessage (Settings>Messages). Or use a different Send & Receive address (same settings page).

I have got a windows PC at home. When I tried to use home sharing to download songs from MY MBP iTunes library, it downloaded 13 songs and then the PC hung. After that I am constantly getting a -3150 error message
