I have the older version MacBook and on startup, it makes whirring noise.
Is there anyway I can stop this or at least make it quieter?
It's very normal, your MacBook should be using a Hard Drive that most Macs use or even all Macs use.
There is no way to make it quieter though, the only way is to purchase Solid State Drive for your Mac that is silent to stop the noise.

I have the older ipod touch and i was wondering can it download version 4.3?
No.
It has to be 3rd or 4th generation.
What generation do you have?
Look on the back of the iPod Touch for one of these numbers.
iPod Touch 1st generation - A1213
iPod Touch 2nd generation - A1288
iPod Touch 3rd generation - A1318
iPod Touch 4th generation - A1367 -
I'm trying to install the latest version of iTunes but I still have the older version but I'm unable to uninstall it. I couldn't update it either. What do I do?
What computer OS are you using? What happens when you try and uninstall it, since you say it doesn't work?

After I upgrade to Mav. will I need to pay to upgrade Pages, Numbers, iPhoto etc. again. I have the older versions.
Welcome to Apple Support Communities
It depends on the iLife (iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand) and iWork (Pages, Numbers and Keynote) versions you have.
If you have got iLife '11 and iWork '09, you will be able to update the applications for free, but if you have got an older version, you will have to pay for them in the App Store -
I have the older rounded airport and would like to connect it to a Sony blu-ray player via a LAN. Any thoughts?
I assume that your Sony Blu-ray player is network-ready and has an Ethernet port ... correct? If so, there shouldn't be any reason why it couldn't be connected to the LAN (opposing arrows) port on the 802.11g AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS) to gain network/Internet access.

Websites such as the Firefox/Google search page and DeviantArt keep insisting I have the old version; I don't!
Your user agent is '''corrupted by Fast Browser Search (FBSMTWB)''' and that identifies you as '''Firefox/3.5.5'''
see your user agent:

The firefox I had was working fine, but it kept telling me to update, and it was working slow, I updated it to the newest version, it wouldn't download it unless I REPLACED, the old version, now it is gone, the new one doesn't work, I now have no firefox, I looked around on the forum, but found nothing and tried some suggestions, but I cannot get any version of firefox to open, and I had some serious book marks and passwords remembered, and I am in a bit of serious trouble, can someone tell me what to do?
BillFirefox 16.0.2 is the last version that works on an Intel Mac with the OS X 10.5 operating system.

Another possibility is to install the Firefox 10.0.12esr (BuildID=20130103094221) version that has more security updates, but misses features present in Firefox 16 (BuildID=20121024073032).

HOW CAN I TRANSFER THE ITUNES PROGRAM ( NOT THE LIBRARIES,BUT THE ACTUALLY EXE PROGRAM ) FROM ONE CPU TO ANOTHER. I CAN'T
STAND THE NEW ITUNES. I WANT TO TRANSFER MY OLD ONE THAT STILL HAS THE SLIDER FEATURE. THANKSSounds like you've already installed iTunes 11 and are now trying to downgrade. To do so successfully you will also need access to a pre-upgrade copy of your library as set out below...
The main differences between iTunes 11 and earlier versions are the loss of coverflow and ability to have multiple windows open.
In Windows, you can restore much of the look & feel of iTunes 10.7 with these shortcuts:
ALT to temporarily display the menu bar
CTRL+B to show or hide the menu bar
CTRL+S to show or hide the sidebar
CTRL+/ to show or hide the status bar (won't hide for me on Win XP)
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may let iTunes start up more quickly)
If you don't like having different coloured background & text in the Album (Grid) view use Edit > Preferences > General and untick Use custom colours for open albums, movies, etc.
With iTunes 11.0.3 you can enable artwork in the Songs & List views from View > Show View Options (CTRL+J) making it more like the old Album List view.
If you still feel the need to roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and supporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.

I need help, i have the CC 2014 and i can npt get to associate the "extract filter"
How did you get the Extract filter into Photoshop CC? You will need to undo that - especially if you copied a whole batch of plug-ins supplied by Adobe with an earlier version.

i want to know how to replace the newer version.
Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com
For the full system requirements see http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/system-requirements.html -
Ipad orientation of screen is locked. I don't seem to have the command for switch on general systems settings.
Any ideas? If you see a lock icon in the upper right corner of the screen - then the screen orientation is locked.
Try the side switch above the volume rocker first and see if that unlocks the screen. If that doesn't do it, double tap the home button and swipe to the right and look for the lock icon all the way to the left.
If the screen is unlocked but still will not rotate, reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
Can someone help me sync my iPad with early operating system with my computers iTunes with latest operating system
You don't provide enough info to answer.
What model iPad and what version of iOS is it running?
What computer?
What "early operating system"?
What version of iTunes?
What "latest operating system"?

Ever since I got the iTunes upgrade, iPhoto does not open and get pictures from my iPhone. How do I fix this? Thanks.
You can stop new photos being automatically added to Photostream in iPhoto from iPhoto preferences > Photostream.

I down load the latest version drag it into applications and then to the dock saying replace the older version and when I open Firefox the next time it says I have the older version.
I have dragged the older version into my trash but it keeps coming back. please advise.Do you see that message on the www.google.com/firefox site?
The www.google.com/firefox site was used in Firefox 3 versions for the home page.<br />
Current Firefox 4+ versions no longer use that Google website as the home page, but use the build-in about:home page as the home page.<br />
Google no longer seems to maintain that page and assumes that you use an older Firefox version if you still visit that site and warns you that you use an older Firefox version and suggests to update.<br />
You can ignore that message if you run the latest Firefox version as reported in the "Help > About" window (Firefox is up to date).<br />
You can use another page as the home page like about:home or www.google.com or www.google.com/ig (iGoogle).<br />
