I have trying to create an array of gpib instructions.

The following is an example.
Time instruction X Y Z
0 00:00:00,mot,v1_m1,-1492316.6919,-5204326.7860,3360431.4341,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0
The problem is I can create the time format column array but putting in the string command instruction in the second column is giving me problems.

With an array, you cannot mix data types. Instead of a 2D numeric array, create a 1D cluster array. A cluster can have elements of different data types.

Try the following:
In Finder, select the problematic volume and then press command-I.
Expand the Sharing & permissions section if it's collapsed.
If the section is locked, then unlock it by pressing the padlock button and then authenticating as directed.
Tick/check Ignore ownership on this volume.

Trying to create an array of a class

This is the first time ive tried to use an array so its not surprising im having trouble.
this is my program:

My family uses a single lap-top as our main internet connection and when we synch our respective I-pods, our I-tunes account seems to wipe-out our playlists, even though we have tried to create separate I-tune accounts. Help!!

My family uses a single lap-top as our home computer and several of us have i-pods that we like to synch, using I-tunes. Although we've tried to create separate I-tune accounts, our i-tunes playlists are getting wiped out when one of us deletes songs on our I-pod and it seems as though I-tunes is not distinguishing our distinct accounts and all i-pods are being synched to reflect the latest i-pod anyone makes on their respective account. It appears as though our distinct I-tune accounts are not being loaded on our lap-top when we sign in and unfortunately, when we're in I-tunes, there is nothing to indicate what account is on the screen. For all the glowing appraisals apple-related products usually receive, we are finding i-tunes and its interface with our respective i-pods to be a very, very frustrating experience.
Can anyone shed some light on this for a family of non-techies? Thx

You need to create separate Windows user accounts if you want to seperate the behaviour of iTunes for each user. That also means separate iTunes libraries for each user.
Windows is a multi-user operating system but you are not using it properly. iTunes is not a multi-user application. No application is. You can't expect it to treat different users differently when they are all using the same computer user account.

I have an Ipod Nano 6th Gen. I have been getting the error 13019. It puts the song title into my playlist, but the song isn't there when I disconnect, and find the song. Everything is up to date. I have tried to create a new user, and nothing works.

Your nano would really have nothing to do with it at that point. It is really something between iTunes and whatever server out there on the internet that it is trying to connect to for the update.
Try posting this one in the iTunes forum, they might have a solution for you.

Your Apple ID must be an email address to use it for and iClouid account. If it isn't in the form of an email address you can change it so is by following this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE40. The ID must also have an active email address associated with it. If it doesn't, first go to appleid.apple.com and add one before trying to use the ID for iCloud.

You will have to close firefox.exe with the Windows Task Manager from the "Processes" tab of the WTM since you don't have a widow to close.
The best way to close Firefox is through File > Exit, for those who stuck with the "Firefox" button click on the Firefox button then Exit. It is not perfect but it is a lot better than just closing the window with the "X" in the upper right corner

I have been trying to create a movie from a project that is primarily stills and one video clip. I cannot successfully create the movie without iMovie shutting down unexpectedly. Any ideas for the cause of the problem?

I am getting an unexpected shut down of iMovie when I try to share a movie from a project that is made up of still pictures, one video clip and music. Have tried to create the movie several times with different formats and continue to get the message. When I removed all music I was able to create the movie without a problem but when I added the music back, I was unable to create the movie. I'm using iMoive 11' version 9.0.9

I'm no expert in iMovie, but I've found that processing memory (as well as sheer hard disk space for the project to 'turn around in') can be a big issue with constructing, editing, and distilling projects in iMovie. I've improved the success by moving 2gb of image files off to an external drive, but only really got moving again on an hour-long project by doubling RAM and again freeing up h/d space.
Some tunes are also an issue, but if you can see it in the iTunes list to place in your project, it should work okay... Does the project run with any other piece of music, or does just that one tune mess it up?

n=name of array
c= some string
public Array[] newArray(String n, String c)
n[n.length]= new String();
n[n.length]= c;

no, you cannot make a dynamic variable like that.
and no, that is not the way to make arrays.
and no, there is no such thing as "Array[]" ( unless u have made an "Array" object ).

Out of memory error when creating an array

I'm trying to create 3D array of Bytes.
Byte[][][] disk = disk = new Byte[11][9][25344];
This is where I get an OutofMemory error.

It is not as ballubadshah asserts a matter of how much memory you have but rather how much is allocated by default to the JVM heap.
This number according to http://java.sun.com/docs/hotspot/ism.html is 64megabytes.
When I run the following code, I get the number 64618496 which is just shy of 67108864, 64 meg. If I increase the array size I get the same error as you.
To get past this, you can increase the heap size at runtime with the option -Xmx###m where ### is the number of megabytes to use for heap.

I am trying to create a host-named site collection. I have created the root site collection. After that i have tried to create customer root site. I have doing this process with the guidance of this link.

" WARNING: The port specified for the new host header site does not match any known bindings in the specified Web

I couldn't when this warning message comes. I tried to bind the server with webapplication which is created for host-named site collection. No use.
Can anyone help me to solve. And i wanna know why this error message comes!!!

First, you shouldn't create a host named site collection on a Web app that has host header named. Doing that implements host names at two different levels and will not work reliably. Second I'm not sure what you mean when you say you didn't
use the FQDN but used just the domain name. A Full url will always be either an FQDN or a shorter Netbios name. If you use a Netbios name it simply assumes the local AD domain of the workstation to create an FQDN as the url There is no way
to use just the domain name. For example, Contoso.com is the domain name. Server.contoso.com or WEbsite.contoso.com are FQDNs. YOu can also use a shorter version that is just server or website, but when those resolve in TCP/IP they would
still resolve using server.contoso.com or website.contoso.com if the workstation where your browser is was in the contoso.com domain. What is the URL for your root site and your host named site?

Error when trying to create new single user

When I fill out the "basic", "groups", and "home" sections of single user in Workgroup Manager and then go to click "save" and error pops up ... actually 4 errors. They say:

It then saves the user as "Untitled1". And I have to quit WM and restart it before I can delete "Untitled 1". I have created many successful log-ins. This only happens to two (2) of the log-ins I have tried to create. I know I made some mistake (can't remember exactly what ... think I typed the user name wrong or something) on one of them, but the other was long ago and I don't remember if I did something and then it didn't work, or if it didn't work the first time I tried.
Any other info that would help I would be glad to offer, just let me know what info to gather. Thanks for your help in advance.
