Page with two iviews

Hi all,
I created in portal (portal content) a new page with two iviews. The first iview it is a bsp site with different links (html links). At the moment if I press a link in this iview WAD web template opens, but it open in the same iview and I wish that it opens in other iview. How can I archieve it?

Hi,
I think your requirement is, your have two iviews in a page. In one iview you have a link and on clicking the link you want to load the target application in another iview of the same page. If this is your requirement the follow the following istructions.
a) In the page of the source iview on clicking the link execute a java script function and raise an EPCM event.
Code to raise EPCM event
EPCM.raiseEvent("urn:com.epcf.EPCFProducer", "myAccGetResultsEvent", "ShowResults");
b) In the page of the second iview subscribe that EPCM event.
Code to subscribe the EPCM event.
EPCM.subscribeEvent("urn:com.epcf.EPCFProducer", "myAccGetResultsEvent", eventHandler);
Write a java script function named eventHandler with one argument and call your target application from this javascript function.

my problem is I want to enable the option to "turn the page with two fingers" to serve everywhere (Google Chrome, Finder, etc) but the problem is notserved with two fingers, serves only the option to turn pages if I put three fingers

Hi all,
can someone suggest me how create an BSP application with the main page composed by two frae?
I've create a page with tags <htmlb> gridLayout for ape the frame structure and the result is fine.

But now i've to call the right page frame ( obviously in his frame) from the left page controller after pressing the 'search button'
and passing to it a table.

Two Master pages with two design pages

Hi All;
I need a help in the below scenario;
- I have two Master pages wid different header title and other information which I required for two different body pages.
I need to assign the 1st master page with all content of first page data (both design pages will display table data).
so the first page display should start with 1st master page and 1st body and after finishing the content of first table..
2nd master and body page starts with the content of 2nd table..
The issue is I am getting one extra page when I am checking design pages
Please let me know your valuable suggestion.. Helpful answer will be highly appreciated !!!

I am also facing similar problem,
I too hv 2 master pages and 2 body pages respectively.
first master page assigned to first body page
and second master page assigned to second body page.
But still i am able to view one extra body page in my design view.
Kindly help.

WebDynpro proxy page with Webdynpro iView and SAP Gui for html iView

Hello,
I have a requirement to have a page that has at the top of it a webdynpro for java iView screen with several links that when pressed pop-up various data pulled from the back-end. This part is fine and presents no problem. Beneath this the requirement calls for a SAP Gui for HTML iView to be displayed. Which is no problem either. The problem occurs when one of the links in the java webdynpro application at the top of the screen is pressed it causes the SAP Gui for HTML portion to refresh and come back to the beginning. So for example you first navigate to this screen and you go into the sap gui for html portion and drill into 2 or 3 screens in the sap gui for html transaction. If you then press one of the webdynpro links the sap gui for html (which is a separate iView) refreshes and you are taken back to the initial screen. This only occurs when using a web dynpro proxy page. If I use a standard page the SAP Gi for html does not refresh. Unfortunately there are other things not mentioned here that require us to use the webdynpro proxy page.
Any help is greatly appreciated,

Use System admin -> System Config and find your system in the PCD (under portal content). Right click and open -> permissions. Find a user or group or role and give it the end user permission. I'd suggest the group Everyone.

Non facing pages with two masters

My pre-press contact has advised me to create documents without facing pages checked. I'm not 100% sure why since I'll be exporting to .pdf anyway, allowing them to impose the pages. She just said that facing pages "nearly always cause problems."
However, I am creating a large conference program book with a left and right master. I know how to set up two separate masters. What concerns me is the inevitable changes--pages inserted, pages deleted. With facing pages In Design 'figures it out.' As long as you don't have uneven columns or pull quotes in the margins, it's not too much trouble to insert a single page within the book during the design process.
I've played around with the no facing pages, two masters, and as best as I can see, adding a page is as bad as I feared: I would have to manually reset every single page after that one to the proper master. I HAVE to be missing something as that would get old really fast in a 100+ page program that will probably morph multiple times.
On a related note, certain pages or sections of pages, will have unique footers, aligned either left or right. (ie Welcome from the President; Sunday--Session 1, etc.) I will obviously strive to do these last for the reasons mentioned above. But, again, is there am InDesign trick that I'm missing? This can't be uncommon.
Straight-up design I can handle, but dealing with large, complex documents is something I don't have much experience with.

Take a different printer. She is telling you complete nonsense. Maybe that SHE has problems, but it is not caused by InDesign, it is caused by HER.
If you have a double sided printed publication you have to set it up as facing pages and you have to export as single pages.
In combination with the document setup to facing/non-facing pages you will have an influence on many things in your document:
Paragraph alignment toward or away from spine (as it often used for page numbers).
Anchored objects with toward and from spine settings.
Keep options.
If a printer is not able to handle facing pages look for a different printer.

Two iviews calling each other on a single page?

Hi all,
Does anyone know of any documentation or how you would be able to have two views on a page with one iview displaying the onclick action of another iview?
Currently everytime a user would click a link on this iview it displays it onto another window. We would like it to be displayed in another iview in the same page.

Hi NAC,
here the same holds, EPCF (Event API). It is just thought for seperate iViews, nothing else does make sense.

If you have a server roundtrip in between, in this case it might make more sense to use JSPFragments or programatically include the result display within the same iView.
If you don't want this, you still have the possibility to pass the data on client side (not advisable for complex data) or to share it on server side (HttpSession) and on client side to refresh the result display iView via an EPCF event.
The "standard" way anyhow would be to pass the selection data from iV1 to iV2 and have this second iView to make the DB access and in return displaying the result.

Show the report on the same dashborad page with the folder tree?

I add a folder in dashboard, and put it on the left.
now i open the folder tree in dashboard, and click a report,
but biee open the report on a new page.
I want to show the report on the same page with the folder,
maybe show the report on the right in the dashboard with the folder.
how could it be done?

The only way it could work is using iframes. Now OBIEE 11g would not allow iframes inside it's dashboard. It offers a dashboard object called "Embedded content" which is a restricted iframe kinda thing but unless you get this object's id from generated HTML you can change it's content dynamically. Besides, such an implementation may break with next patch. So here is an idea.
Create a HTML page with two iframes, left one will hold all the reports with links (you can always generate a list of reports through catalog manager, open it in excel and make HTML links from it) that open report urls (in the format of ./saw.dll?GO&Path=....) in right iframe (using javascript open.window method). Once that page is working, call this page from dashboard using an action link. This is slightly twisted approach but at least it would give you what you asked for.
About making the report list dynamic, I am afraid there are no easy answers. OBIEE provides web service that will allow the users to query catalog to get a list of reports. You can try some basic JSP to access the web service and generate the list dynamically. But that is not something I can provide here.

Firefox 4 does not support zoom-in/out with two fingers on Windows 7 with a multi-touch scrren, IE8 does.

I have a HP 2740p notebook with multi-touch support. With IE8, I can zoom-in/out the web page with two fingers, but I can not with Firefox 4. It seems that FF4 only support basic touch (scroll with finger)

Some prefs have been reset to empty values.

Need common page for two Web applications

Hi,
I got two web applications. I need to have a common point/ page to get access to them. I need to have a jsp or html page with two respective links. Providing this is fine but I need help as to how do handle switching the contexts.
Any alternative solution is also welcome.

MythWeb Shows Blank Page with Broken Icon Symbols.

I having a problem getting MythWeb to work. I followed the Wiki carefully. I get prompted to login, but just get a blank page with two broken icon symbols. Apache access and error logs don't show any errors.
Relevant part of mythweb.conf is:

I commented out the following php options as according to a MytTV Trac ticket they are no longer required and were filling my logs with errors. Uncommenting them again made no difference.

I have since discovered that if I copy the “about” URL and paste it into a new tab, it works. But if I open anyrhing in a tab and then go to a reader view I see the blank screen.

Interaction between two iViews on one page

Hi Everybody!
I have have one question and if you think I am blind, then I apologize for this.
I have two iViews on a page. The First (iView 1) is showing a Link List from KM
and the second (iView 2) is showing the content of an external link.
I would like to implement the following logic:
When the user clicks on a Link in iView 1, the content should appear in iView 2.
Can this be done with standard iView parameters or do I need to implement it on my own?

KM navigation has a core par file in USR(installation) directory com.sap.km.navigation use it in IDE eclipse or nwds and alter the code using epcf and rename it as your class and redeploy it and make it as a template.
you can use this way otherwise please do see the proerties of KM navigation iview which may suggest the way out.hope this helps you .while using the code you have to implement epcm.donavigate and paa parameters to other iview.please don,t forget to give points

I also find that Smart zoom only works with some apps, for instance not with Word docs or email.
How can I correct this please?

Just figured out it also does not work with the Mail app.
