The chances that it's a virus on your iPad or iPhone is very slim. Who is your mail provider? it's far more likely that your address has been spoofed and it's your mail service that has been compromised not your iDevice. I know my Yahoo mail was hacked and people in my address book received spam mails that I didn't send.
have you changed the address on your e-mail account?

Hi, I have just loaded Lightroom 5 from the disc onto my Mac. every time i try and launch the application, it goes to the registration/licence window. i have input the data five times already. Masher please use the uninstaller located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once Photoshop Lightroom is removed then please download Lightroom 5.5 from Adobe - Lightroom : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.5 and reinstall.

JiPad apps are designed specifically for the iPad and will not run on the iPhone or iPod Touch. iPhone/iPod apps will run on the iPad, but will only take up an iPhone sized portion of the iPad screen (though you get a 2x button which effectively doubles each pixel in both directions so may appear pixelated). There are also 'universal' apps (which have a '+' symbol against them in the store) which have processing in them to recognise the device that they are on and will tailor the display accordingly (so will make use of the iPad's larger screen).

I am trying to access tax forms from the IRS. I download them to my comuter and they read fine (version XI). However, when iItry to open them on another computer (version 4) they will not open. Version 4 opens all other pdf documents fine, just not the ones from the IRS. Any ideas?
Version 4 is oh so old.
The IRS and many other providers of forms are using products like LIveCycle which require at least version 7.05.

I have uploaded an old itunes library by mistake - any way that I can go back to my previous library. Unable to do a system restore and I don't know where to find an up to date music/playlist file. My regular computer (which has i-tunes installed on it) is broken right now and I plugged my ipod into my temporary Chromebook to charge it. Now the ipod is telling me to Eject before disconnecting and I don't know how.

If the email hasn't arrived after a few hours and isn't in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I have the same problem in Mavericks, but I'd say, more important, with QuickLook.
Indeed Quicklook can't read avi movies anymore. Actually it always been the case, but with Perian we were able to fix it. The problem is that Perian is no longer available for Mac OS 10.9....
I'd assume that our only hope is Apple themselves... It would be nice from Apple to creat an add-on for quicklook to be able to preview the avi movies.
In regards with quicktime, you can download QuickTime 7 here:

and ask all the .avi movies to be played by QuickTime 7 and not QuickTime X (included into Mac OS).
