I have updated to the latest itunes, and it now won't allow me to import or burn CD's or DVD's. it says it is to do with the registry settings, and that recently added cd burning software may have something to do with it.
please help!! i've recently updated to the latest itunes version. after much hassle in doing so, it now tells me that the registry settings for importing or burning CD's/DVD's doesn't work and that i should reinstall itunes. i,ve done that from the website and from a saved position, but it doesn't work. i don't want to have to delete my library to have to start again !!!! there must be another way. it also said that it might be to do with other CD/DVD burning software, but i haven't put any on my computer that itunes didn't seem to lke before
I have the exact same issue. I havent found our what is causing it either. Multaple re-install attempts with no success. I have to use Windows Media Center to burn audio discs. Any other advice?

I recently downloaded the latest iTunes for Windows update, and now when I open iTunes my menus are in Korean. I live and work in Korea but want my menus in English like they always have been. I've never had this problem with updates before. How can I get English back? I'll appreciate any help.

General is the tab on the left
Language is the last drop down control
English (UK) & English (US) are 9th and 10th on the list

After installing the latest itunes/quicktime update I can no longer acces the itunes store nad my iphone does not complete syncing. What can I do to fix this? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled windows updates. I have checked the firewall settings. what else?
The problem is with version 10.4.1. I had to reload 10.3 to get it to work. The recommendation from a previous poster worked for me. Here was their list of steps:
Go to Control Panel>Programs>Uninstall
2. Uninstall the following Apple programs in the following order:
a. iTunes
b. QuickTime
c. Apple Software Update
d. Apple Mobile Devices Support
e. Bonjour
f. Apple Appllcation Support
3. Reboot PC
4. Find, Download and Install iTunes 10.3 (you can find it at FileHippo.com)
If you start iTunes now you will get an error message saying that the current iTunes library was created by a newer version of iTunes. To correct this:
5. Go to your Music>iTunes folder and delete the "iTunes Library.itl" database file
6. Within this iTunes folder find and open the "Previous iTunes Libraries" folder and locate the most recently dated "iTunes Library (date).itl" database file.
7. Copy and Paste this file back into the iTunes folder
8. Rename this "iTunes Library (date).itl" file by removing the date. It should say "iTunes Library.itl"
9. Reboot PC -
looking for help syncing my ipad with pc after I upgraded to the latest itunes 10.4 it did not sync with the ipad. Hard time seeing the ipad when it did started to sync it stopped would not let me finish. This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.

Recently I installed iTunes on my computer so that I could put music on my new iPad and it was fine, the next day when I went to put some more on it it asked me to download the newest version of iTunes and I did but since then I have been having trouble getting access to iTunes. I have a PowerMac G3 that's running Tiger OS 10.4.11, iTunes 8.2.1, a Mac mini running Lion 10.7.3, and iTunes 10.5.3. My iPhone is a 3Gs with IOS 4.3.5 and was originally synced to the PowerMac G3. I went to back up my iPhone so that I could install IOS 5 but when I plugged the iPhone into the G3, I got the message saying that I have to download the latest iTunes. The phone wasn't even recognized. What do I need to do at this point? I'm getting pretty frustrated at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone... :-)
Couple of possabilities,
1 - As Andea says, use the MacMini but start a new backup from your 3Gs iPhone, so that you can restore if the upgrade to IOS 5 goes pear shaped. A backup doesn't hold your Apps, Music or Movies, just the settings and App data etc.
2 - Copy your entire iTunes folder from the G3 to the Mini, then when you want to sync the iPhone all the music etc. can be kept in sync as before.
Not sure if you sync your address book, iCal and e-mail from iTunes or via the Cloud, if the former you'd need to put a copy of these also on the Mini

As it says above, i have been having a lot f trouble with my ipod classic and the latest itunes update, i was unable to sync songs or anything to it and have tried every conceivable 'fix' i could find. i have run an itunes diagnostic and the results are posted below. a major problem is that when i try and view my ipod through my computer it displays nothing at all on the ipod, no files or anything, this may be the problem but i have no idea how it has happened or how i could resolve it.
This ipod holds huge sentimental value and i am loathe to buy a new one! If anybody can help it is greatly appreciated, than kyou in advanced.

My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc. -

We'll need more information before anyone can be of much help. What model iPhone is it, what versions of iOS are running on the iPad 2 now, what exactly are you trying to update, and what version of iTunes are you running? And what exactly is going wrong (include error messages if any).
Once we have that information, someone here can probably offer advice. Note that you cannot sync content or upgrade iOS wirelessly until you get your iPhone and iPad up to iOS 5 and that requires that you connect those devices to your computer via the Dock-USB cable.

I have the latest iTunes, but it seems to get stuck on the back up stage; its not that it can't back up as it happens every time I connect, but when I click upgrade to ios 6, then it suddenly takes a long time and eventually just doesn't go anywhere. even left it running overnight but didn't happen. Just doesn't take the next step of uploading the operating system. help would be greatly appreciated, have been trying to do this for two days now

I cant get my ipad 2 out of recovery. The apple icon stays on and nothing happens. I tried restoring it through Itunes but it comes up with a 3194 error code. I have the latest Itunes being 10.6.1.7 and the latest windows update.Can someone please help?
Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times. -
I just downloaded the latest itunes update 11.1 for windows 7 and now when I try to open itunes with the shortcut on my desktop I get this error message: "The item 'itunes.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly." I can't open itunes at all. Is there anything I can do or is there a problem with the new update?

Does that shortcut work?
If so, delete the current shortcut that is in the Quick Start tray and drag the one that is in Start > Programs down there.
