I have windows 7 and just purchased quicktime pro, I get error-2000 ever time I try and open a dvd.
I have just paid £20 for QuickTime 7 pro and I cannot open a DVD. I get error-2000 every time. Any advice?
Neither QuickTime Player or the Pro upgrade can play commercial DVD's.
The MPEG-2 format found on non DRM DVD's requires additional software.

I get 'Error 6' every time I try and open photoshop!
I purchased photoshop a little over a month ago. I functioned for about three weeks, and for the past week every time I try and open it I get a window that says 'licensing for the product has stopped working.........Error: 6'--I have attached it here for clarity.
I have had no luck getting through to customer service. I did find an article on adobe.come that led me through some steps to correct this issue, but they did not work.
It is so frustrating! Anyone have a solution? Thanks!

I have a similar problem.
I have a macbook pro with a 320gb internal disk and a 64gb solid state disk. i run the OS and apps off the SSD and keep my data on the spinning disk.
My system has been running well for months. it crashed today. i fixed permissions on all disks.
I can start photoshop CS4 when i boot off the internal disk, but i get "Error 6" when i boot off the SSD.
I have read a bunch of articles and tried some things that haven't worked.
I'm up for un-installing and re-installing if it will help.

Just purchased Quicktime Pro 7, for iMac G5 with system OS X 10.4.11, AND cannot get at Quick Pro 7 despite the keys.
If the Pro registration worked the word Pro has been removed from many menu options.
The application remains just QuickTime Player 7 but the Pro features have been enabled. -
I must be clueless...just purchased quicktime pro...need some help
so I just purchased quicktime pro...I purchased it on my work computer, because I was bored...and figured I would take the code home, and put it on my mac book. I didn't put the code or key on my work computer at all.
I guess my question is do I need the internet to activate my quick time pro at home? because I don't have the internet at home. I know I know...everyone does.
I did go to a coffee shop where they have wireless and I put the numbers in (on my mac book), and it didn't do anything...it just highlighted the code, and that is it. does it install anywhere that I can physically see? or does it just turn on the quicktime pro features?I'm thinking I put the code in my mac book, and figured I needed to see something visual installing and didn't realize that it just turns it on.
Actually, there are a number of indicators. If you open the "Register" tab in "QuickTime Preferences...", you should see that your registration number remains as entered. (Should have been erased if your entries are rejected.) In addition, it should now say "QuickTime Pro 7" below your registration number. If you open the "About QuickTime Player" menu option, the QT blue "Q" should now have the word "Pro" superimposed on it. Lastly, all of the menu options that were previously grayed/covered by the word "Pro" are now working. -
whether i use a DL DVD or just a DVD R, it tells me there was an error during multiplexing. I have tried changing every setting, best performance, professional quality, etc. and still get the same error message every time i try to burn to dvd.
Welcome to the forums.
Looks like that error message does refer to encoding (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1645) but a problem could be that your video has to be reloaded into iDVD if you started the encoding process and then switched settings. You could start a new iDVD project, or try deleting encoded assets.
Let's start from the beginning -- what length of video are you trying to fit on the DVD? (this will indicate what encoding options you have). Double layer DVDs can be finicky and are used for video more than 2 hrs long.
Use good quality media -- Verbatim is often recommended around here, and I've used Sony DVD-R with good results.

You have opened this photo library with a newer version of iPhoto." How do I do this? I recently bought aperature, and it has been since then that I get this warning.

Hey there, I've just installed PS CC on my PC. Each time I try to open the program, it runs for about 5 seconds and then a dialog box pops up and says "Photoshop has stopped working." Am I going to have to re-install the program?
I've also downloaded After Effects, and that program is working smoothly. Any thoughts?

Open Contacts -> select the contact -> select edit -> scroll all the way to the bottom and delete contact (delete multiple entries of the same phone number, my wife had five).
Open the Messages app -> select Edit -> select the red circle and then select delete. Do this for both the person and the messages you received.
Open the Settings app -> scroll down and select Messages -> turn off messages, by selecting the switch, and any other options turned on.
Turn off your phone and then turn it back on.
Go straight to messages and compose a new message and put in the phone number of the person you're trying to text. Send and that person should receive the text message. Add the person to your contacts and go back into message settings to turn on any other options you want on that you turned off.

I just bought Quicktime Pro key but when I go into system preferences, quicktime icon is not there
Thanks for the answer, but that doesn't answer the question why the icon whether it's QT Player or QT Pro is not appearing in system Pereferences. I have a MacBook running OS X 10.7.4 and there isn't an a QT icon in system preferences.
By the way, what is QuickTime X Pro? I recently purchased QT 7 Pro.

Try the following steps and let me know if it worked for you:
Delete all the files from following folders:
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache
And, delete all files from following folder except cache.db
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ Adobe PCD
Then launch Acrobat, Accept EULA and enter the serial number again an check.

I have just installed Qicltime Pro but when I edit a video file and try to set the In and Out points, it does not show any way to set them. It trims the video down to the one point on display. Have I installed the software correctly?
QuickTime Player 7 Pro is in the Utilities folder.
To set in and out points set the position you want in the timeline and tap the i key. Move to the end of your selection and tap the o key. To step frame by frame move the playhead by tapping the left/right arrow keys. -

The problem is: I cannot find the registration pane of the quicktime preference dialog box.
Help??????QuickTime Pro is not a separate application, so there's nothing to "run" other than QuickTime Player. A Pro key just unlocks the extra features of QuickTime Player and the QuickTime browser plugin. If the Pro labels have gone from the menu items in QuickTime Player, then your key is correctly registered and you should be good to go.
If you continue to have problems, please start your own topic, describing fully the situation and where things seem to be breaking down.

I can't open one Quick Time movie file. It says: Quick time player can't open (names file) because the movie's file format isn't recognized. Only happens on this one file. All the others of a two hour shoot are fine.

I have been ripping my audiobooks and I was finding that they would get uploaded to iCloud in the process, which in itself was fine, but then iTunes would not let me change the media type to Audiobook, which is annoying as it effects how iTunes treats the media. Like showing you the skip back 10 seconds button.
The general outline here helped me work around the issue and change the media type before the media was re-uploaded to iCloud.

Can someone tell me why I suddenly cannot download HD versions of shows/movies when I had no problem previously? Windows 7 and Apple TV. All my settings and devices are 720/1080 including my Ipad2.
