I hear static, do you? Could you check please?

I have an 80 gig classic and have been wrestling with sound quality issues.
I ripped some music using LAME at 320 kBit/s using EAC and it plays fine on my old Rio Carbon. But at precisely the same spot in the track every time, when a loud chorus starts to sing, my iPod will have some static mixed in with the voices. I've re-ripped the track using various encodings, iTunes, iTunes lossless etc, and the results are always the same at the same spot. I've tried different ear buds, including my Shure E3c's, still iPod static. The static always follows the iPod, the Carbon always sounds fine.
This isn't the only track either. It's actually quite common and usually occurs during louder notes or voices. Even from pristine scratchless freshly ripped CDs.
Is this common? The track in my example is from The Lord of the Rings, the Two Towers, Foundations of Stone, at precisely 2:30 to 2:35 into the track, just as the chorus starts to singe. If someone who has an iPod and this track, could you listen and check, I would greatly appreciate it. I hope it's just my iPod, because then I can exchange it as defective.

To exemplify what I mean, I've create a 5 second MP3 cut of the area with static. I then used my PC to record that clip being played by my iPod and by my old player.

We will use the BADI BBP_SC_TRANSFER_BE to determine the PR type and number range according to your recommend.
We have two PR type in R/3.
1) KGPR
2) KTR1
As you know that shopping cart has no type. So we add customer field to mapping to R/3 PR type and this field has two values.
1)     PR01: mapping to KGPR
2)     PR02: mapping to KTR1
We will use the method GROUP_RQ to determine the PR type.
If customer field is PR01, PR type is determined KGPR
If customer field is PR002, PR type is determined KTR1.
To determine the PR number range, we will use the method GET_NUMBER_OR_RANGE.
If PR type is KGPR, Choose the No key 12
If PR type is KTR1, Choose the No key 16.

I am not sure you can get at that directly. However if what you want to do is determine if there are any attachments for the record, then you can setup a VO with bind parameters querying APPLSYS.FND_ATTACHED_DOCUMENTS passing the ENTITY_NAME, PK1_VALUE ... PK5_VALUE for that record and if you get zero records in the query, it was "NONE", otherwise you have attachments.

So I go on and search more and more and more and now finally I think i've got my setup allmost ready to order. Could you check it and help me out on the final insecurities? Thanx a bunch.

It appears to me that the i7-2600K is indeed a great processor, delivering great value for money, for the majority of general-purpose applications, but
how does it perform when one works with large or complex projects, and multitask, such as having DW do a complete validation on multiple DHTML files, including SSE, running a resize action in PS on a couple of thousand images, encoding large files in FL and PR doing an export to a complex long form BRD?
I was very tempted, and came very close, to buying an i7-2600K for myself, but after learning just how much high-end video editing can demand from a system, I became hesitant to buy the i7-2600K with its platform. I need to be sure that the system I buy has no limitations for the work I need to do with it.
If Intel had video editing in mind when designing the i7-2600K, it would not have had integrated graphics, which is of no use when we need a nVidia card.
Regardless of the fact that according to http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/core-i7-2600k-990x.html the i7-2600K outperformed many pricier products for a higher-end LGA1366 platform (even the $1000 i7-990X Extreme Edition yielding significantly to Core i7-2600K within the majority of general-purpose applications, except during video processing and transcoding, final rendering and a few specific tasks, such as encryption and batch image processing), Intel still positioned this processor as a mid-level processor, for a reason.
Intel knew before release what this mid-level i7-2600K was capable of, therefore releasing it positioned as a mid-level processor, they did so having the architecture to follow up with a mid-level processor that will outperform the i7-2600K, within the same price category, else who would buy Intel's next mid-level processors?
I suspect that for those who are willing to hold out and wait just a bit longer, so they can put their money where it counts, Intel has a pleasant surprise coming soon, and that the new platform will not be evolutionary like it has been for years, but revolutionary with feature improvements from Sandy Bridge like Intel's tri-gate transistor technology, PCI Express 3.0 support and Graphics DirectX 11 and OpenCL support, a bigger graphics performance and bigger CPU performance boost compared to Sandy Bridge.
what makes you think you need a raid controller.... the vast majority of Adobe users do not need one or an 8 drive raid array..
Yes, for those who never need a hardware raid controller, using it for general-purpose applications, the 2600K and its P67 or Z68 platform is nice.
The OP did not specify whether or not he will need a hardware controller, wherefore I cared to post my post #7 above,
nor did he specify his source material, editing style, the nature of his timelines and the time pressure he is under with his projects (other than a mention in his original post of his girlfriend's time request), or how long he intends to use the system before upgrading to the next one.

Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.

The searched CASE expression is probably the most used version of the expression. The WHEN ... THEN ... clauses are executed in left to right order. The first WHEN clause that tests TRUE returns the value given in its THEN clause. And, yes, you can nest CASE
expressions inside each other. If no explicit ELSE clause is given for the CASE expression, then the database will insert a default ELSE NULL clause. If you want to return a NULL in a THEN clause, then you must use a CAST (NULL AS <data type>) expression.
I recommend always giving the ELSE clause, so that you can change it later when you find something explicit to return.
The <simple case expression> is defined as a searched CASE expression in which all the WHEN clauses are made into equality comparisons against the <case operand>. For example

There is a gimmick in this definition, however. The expression
CASE foo
WHEN 1 THEN 'bar'
WHEN NULL THEN 'no bar'

becomes
CASE WHEN foo = 1 THEN 'bar'
WHEN foo = NULL THEN 'no_bar' -- error!
ELSE NULL END
The second WHEN clause is always UNKNOWN.
The SQL-92 Standard defines other functions in terms of the CASE expression, which makes the language a bit more compact and easier to implement. For example, the COALESCE () function can be defined for one or two expressions by
1) COALESCE (<value exp #1>) is equivalent to (<value exp #1>)
2) COALESCE (<value exp #1>, <value exp #2>) is equivalent to
CASE WHEN <value exp #1> IS NOT NULL
THEN <value exp #1>
ELSE <value exp #2> END
then we can recursively define it for (n) expressions, where (n >= 3), in the list by
COALESCE (<value exp #1>, <value exp #2>, . . ., n), as equivalent to:
CASE WHEN <value exp #1> IS NOT NULL
THEN <value exp #1>
ELSE COALESCE (<value exp #2>, . . ., n)
END
Likewise, NULLIF (<value exp #1>, <value exp #2>) is equivalent to:
CASE WHEN <value exp #1> = <value exp #2>
THEN NULL
ELSE <value exp #1> END
It is important to be sure that you have a THEN or ELSE clause with a data type that the compiler can find to determine the highest data type for the expression.
A trick in the WHERE clause is use it for a complex predicate with material implications.

Where would you check performance of webi? query is taking long time to run

In the bex query world running on portal you were able to go to sm50 and check what the query is doing and where it is taking a long time or atleast you were able to see the processes runing.
Where would you check the running processes when you are running a webi query, we are trying to write a webi report which is on universe which is created on bex query. The report is very simple just two fields and an mandatory variable which is coming from bex query (have defined the variable in bex query). When we exeute the query it is taking a long time just spinning and I am not getting any data back, on the same query before even hitting the run query button, I am trying to put a object in query filters and set the filter as In list from Value(s) from list and it is taking forever to set that filter.
Can we go to CMC or BW backend and check anywhere we are using sap authentication, I see the number of sessions in CMC but that is it.

All our universes are on BEx queries designed in SAP BW in that case does the array fetch size matter and array bind size matter? I had read this in oneof the universe designer manuals for OLAP universes The Array fetch size, Array bind size, and Login timeout parameters are not used for OLAP connections

As currently designed, you cannot. Once iCloud detects you are on mobile Safari, it switches you to the iPad screen.
If you had another browser that would allow you to pretend you were a desktop Safari client, ie8 or 9, or Firefox, that might work.
But, Puffin and Opera mini don't work.

I haven't gotten a new sim card because the problem has been presenting itself in various cards not only mine. So far, all I've done is reset my network settings.
Last night, I turned off the 3G tab and it had all the signal bars. Today, I did the network reset and it's working apparently. But like I said before, previously the bars just disappear and the iphone only has the 3G activated.

Some strange things have been happening since my MBP (2009, SSD, 8GB, 17") was updated to Lion:
1. Icon images load slower than usual, e.g when opening the applications folder the images take a fraction longer than would be normal
2. If re-naming a folder, you see the new title, then the old one, then it switched back to the new one.
3. When playing HD video, or rapid desktop switching the picture looks split in two.
I checked that my GPU was on dedicated, but it had changed back to Intel integrated? Then a re-start and I checked it was on dedicated GPU, which it was BUT the above problems still remain.
Plugged in a 24" LED Display via display port and it does not come on - only the USB ports work. Does a display need a dedicated GPU to work?
Zapped Parameter Ram, rebuild permissions, and reset SMC all to no avail. Techtools pro 6.0 finds both cards but can't check them. I assume its not Lion compatible yet?
MBP is still under Apple Care, but I want to know if I can identify the problem is the NVIDA GPU. But how?

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7 or later: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.
