I installed Thunderbird and migrated email addresses & info from Eudora. I decided at the end of the process, I want only new email adress & info. Nothing else
How do I get rid of Eudora emails and old info? I uninstalled the program but everything comes back when I re-download & install.

I already had, the problem is not covered on that page.
I'd had no response within a few hours so I had to force the Powerbook to shut down. On rebooting, it only got as far as the Apple logo and the progress wheel. I left it for half an hour and it got no further. I reset the PRAM again (I'd already done it before the actions detailed in the original post). Nothing. I tried again to Safe Boot. Nothing - not even the login screen.
I then tried to re-install OS X 10.5 - this time the option to 'update' was available which I did. It automatically restarted but still would not proceed beyond the Apple logo and progress wheel.
That's how things stand now. I have given up for the day but I can't think of any other course of action apart from a complete erase and install but that would be far to drastic because unfortunately, despite my insistence last time there were problems, nothing has been backed up.
Incidentally, I tried to boot in target mode to recover their account folder - the disk mounted on my MacBook Pro but when I tried to open it, my Finder crashed.

i just tried to install the 11.4 update (or whichever one is the most recent update as of 1/26/2014) and when it failed i tried to install manually and now whenever i try to use it, i get the following error: "The application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." Right after i click ok i then get this error: "Itunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall Itunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126)." I tried to uninstall Itunes and then reinstall the 11.03 version but that didnt work either. I want to know if i copy all of the music in my itunes folder to an external without consolidating can i still transfer all my itunes music from my current windows xp pc to a brand new one and have my current itunes library in my new pc? Basically i just want to know 3 things: What exactly does consolidating the itunes library do? Can i copy, paste, and transfer my itunes library to an external and from there to a new pc? Will i be able to transfer my itunes library without consolidating the files?
I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). When I had installed the app, there was been written: "open", and when I pushed this, NO reaction of the iPad! And crazy too: I am NOT able to find the app itself at any screen of the iPad!!! I can see it only in the list "bought" items. With other words: The app is neither to be seen nor I am able to open it in the "list".

I had all my software, including my ‘Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium’ removed from my MacPro (OSX 10.10.2) by a Computer technician after I had inadvertently installed some malware.
Now I can’t reinstall my CS4 because the installer software wants me to identify the product from which I am upgrading, but mine isn’t on the list. The old product from which I am upgrading is called ‘Adobe Design Collection’. Furthermore, it has 4 serial numbers (one each for Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat and Illustrator), not just one, as the installer requires.
I know this can be done, as I have had it working for a long time. Am I doing something wrong now?Contact support be web chat and have them generate a working temporary serial/ challenge code for the install.

Gen 4 iPad will wake up from "sleep mode" on its own and stay on till fully discharged, getting fairly hot in the process
I think I have the same problem. The whole sequence is:
* Put MacBook Pro to sleep by closing lid.
* After some period of time that varies, I notice sleep LED is no longer pulsing.
* The case is VERY hot.
* When I open the lid, the display stays black.
* No sequence of keys or closing/opening lid wakes display.
* Only way to recover is to power cycle.
* Problem is VERY intermittant -- I do not know how to reproduce it at will. AppleCare service had it for a whole week and couldn't reproduce it, whereas for me it occurs once every 1 or 2 days.
Actions:
* AppleCare service replaced the main logic board in early June, but it didn't help.
* I did a clean erase and install, but it didn't help.
* AppleCare service had the unit for a full week in July and couldn't reproduce the problem, so they returned it and it still had the problem.
I have a Logitech Bluetooth mouse, don't know model other than M-RBB93. I'll UNset "Allow Bluetooth to wake..." and will also turn off the bluetooth mouse before closing lid. I'll post my results.
Meanwhile, please let me know if anyone determines a solution! -
If I was to get a new computer and transfer all my music from my itunes on my old computer to hard drive then to my new computer and itunes, could I make a new itunes account on my new computer and still be able to use my old songs?
I am getting a new computer and I know I can transfer my music on my old computer to my new one with a hard drive but me and brother currently share an account and I would like my own, once I get a new computer can I make a new account on my new itunes and still be able to keep my old music and be able to sync it and play it etc?? My iphone 4 is telling me I have to restore but when I plug in and connect to itunes, it freezes about 30-50 % through the process. Now I can't use my phone at all? I am waiting about 1-3 hours for this process to finish and nothing ever happens. HELP!!
Put it into DFU mode - hold the sleep/wake button and home button until the screen goes black (ignoring the slide to turn off slider). When the screen goes black release the sleep/wake button but hold the home button. Continue holding the home button for 10 seconds, then release it. The screen should stay black. Plug it into iTunes and it should come up with this message "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. It must be restored before use", that's when it is successfully in DFU mode. Now press the restore button in iTunes and it should run smoothly :)

my mac disk is full and i cant transfer files from Mac to USB. saying the format is not good, how can i change the format and what happened to the files i have on USB?
Once something similar happened to me. The external drives I had set up for FCP to use for some reason were not mounted, and FCP put all its render files on the main drive and I couldn't find them anywhere.
Go to applications, and control-click (and hold down) on your FCP icon; you should get a pop up menu that says "show package contents". Select that, select the "contents" folder, then the "mac OS" folder. See if your quicktime file is in there, or if you've got render files in the "render" folder or audio render files in the "audio render" folder that don't belong there.
That's where FCP sticks stuff when your documents FCP project folders are not available or when external drives you've selected aren't available. -

For SEO Purposes is it better to place Headers h1..h6 in their own frames and apply paragraph styles specifically to that frame. Or can the headers and text be placed in one text box and then formatted accordingly using paragraph styles?
