To set the default boot volume use the Startup Manager system preferences once you are booted back into the OSX. Then you would only need the option key at boot time to boot into the "other" OS.

I have tried loading 3 different cds that I recently purchased into Itunes. I click the import cd button and Itunes goes through the motion of copying and importing the cds, but the songs are not in my music library. I have searched everywhere to find where these cds might be, but to no avail. Could really use some help here. Never used to have this problem.
Are they in the relevant artist & album folders when you look via Windows Explorer. If so something may have gone wrong with the index of the Music playlist. Download the current iTunes Free Single of the Week. I know it sounds odd, but it should fix the problem.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and delete the hidden file sentinel from inside the main iTunes folder, then start iTunes again. It should run a consistency check when it starts up.

I have an ipod touch on which the power button will not respond. Nothing will happen if i press it. If i sync it, it goes to the unlock screen and the power slider popes up. It occured exactly 13 months after using it, so it is not under warranty any more... Grrrr
I brought it into repair but they told me they are not allowed to open it... so what can we do? Is it really a hardware problem? I am quite angry against Apple...

The screen has small spider webbing in the top right corner, I was wondering if I can take it to an apple store without a receipt or warranty will they fix it or exchange it? Will I have to pay anything to have it fixed?
