I just downloaded and installed Adobe Reader X. It does not send the view to the installed printers.
It is unbelievable to me that Adobe would broadcast a flawed product like this.

I am trying to download Adobe Reader, I have Windows 7 on my PC. Every time I get the download, I click on it to install the program, and I get the usual messages but I never get the install message. When I try the download again, I get a message telling me only one copy of the program can go on the computer. When I check the program list, it is not there. I have to restore my computer before I can attempt the download and install again. I have tried this at least 6 times but cannot install Adobe Reader. Please help me out with this. You can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:

Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from
http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.

Unable to download and install Adobe Reader

While trying to download and install Adobe Reader, when I click on OPEN, nothing happens. When I click on SAVE, I receive the message download failed. When I retry, a file is downloaded; however, I am unable to open the file. I am using Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 11.

I am using WIN XP PRO SP 3.0 32 bit on a desktop....
I have tried 3 times to re-install Adobe Reader for Windows, but it keeps on telling me that the installation was unsuccessful...I have tried to find out more, I seem to have met all the requirements, and yes I tried that link, too.....
Any ideas? I know this Q & A was last year, but maybe you might have found an answer for me, as I uninstalled my current version before I started, now I wish I had left it alone....but I was trying to fix another problem on Firefox, which said I had to re-install anything from Adobe, to see if it would fix my little problem, now I have a bigger problem!!
The 1st problem was I cannot upload pics on Facebook, now I find I cannot upload a pic for Adobe, (on my profile page)!!!! I can still insert/upload a pic on Word, however....
I do hope you might be able to help me, as I am a novice when it comes to fixing problems....

I had problems with Adobe Reader X (couldn't print pdf documents, very slow opening and sometimes didn't open) so uninstalled it from my computer to see if downloading the latest version would get rid of the issues. I am running Windows Vista Home Basic.
I am unable to install Adobe Reader X - it gets to a point where it should be installed and I get an error 1303 message, telling me that I need to log in as administrator (which I am). When I retry the installation, I keep getting the same message. What can I do? I have quite a number of pdf documents that I now can't even open and read.

Why can I download and install CS6beta but the program refuses to be activated on the idiotic grounds that either I am not connected to the internet or my computer clock is not showing the right time? If in New Zealand we're not allowed to use the beta, why does Adobe not have the decency and courtesy of telling us so and why instead of feeding us with those stupid putoffs???

What is the full and exact message you are getting?
If the PDF contains Rich Media, the Flash Player plugin may be required: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player.exe

Go to /Library/Internt Plug-Ins.
Move the AdobePDFViewer.plugin to the Trash.

Stay on the download website, do not navigate to a different website, and do not use the back button on your browser.
If nothing od the above applied inyour case - it might just be a lot of traffic on the download website. Try at a better time - with less web traffic - for instance in the morning.

That link states you should uninstall earlier versions, as you don't have the version of Flash used by Firefox you can skip that step.

You were probably using the Release Candidate version of camera raw 8.7, which one gets from Adobe Labs.

Try doing it in a WIndows Safe mode - Restart computer and hit F8 key right after your see BIOS check and choose "Safe mode with networking"
Do the SFC /SCANNOW again.
If that does not work, whilst in safe mode, download Free Malwarebyte software from CNET's Download.com. Install, update virus definition then perform a full scan. Remove if it did find some viruses or trojans. Restart computer.
Back to regular windows, do the SFC /SCANNOW again.
If that doesnot work, check to see if your Hard drive has errors or bad sectors
GO START BUTTON /COMPUTER, right mouse click OS (C:) and choose "Properties"
Choose "Tools" tab and under error checking, click "Check Now".
Make sure "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" is checked and click start.
Restart windows will perform the above task to fix errors This may take hours depends on how big is your Hard Drive
