I resently purchased an ipad and i think i could help. Does it look like a plug and itunes? Thats what came up on mine. Try pluging it into your laptop and go on itunes. They say the new ipad with ios5, you dont need your computer, then i cant help you there. But go to an apple store they are very helpful. They helped me recently and they are very nice. They could help anyone, from old people, to youngsters like myself. I hope i helped you. I tried my best :)......keep in mind, im only 12

When I close Firefox and then come back to it later a box comes up that says it's already running. It says to close Firefox first but when I hit close nothing happens and the box comes up again. You don't need to restart your computer to open Firefox again: you just need to close it manually through your application manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC in Processes tab). Anyway, hopefully this support article is what you need:

What's probably happening is that you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Upgraded new iPad to iOS 5 after successfully using the machine for two weeks. The apps I downloaded are still here, checked for updates, all okay. However, when I try to use iBooks app or even USA Today, icon shakes, settles down then nothing else happens. Several tries, settings appear correct. Suggestions? Safari operates correctly, music icon matches (not from iTunes, simply music on my MacPro and iPod). Is Cloud the issue, perhaps? But everything worked before the upgrade. Using my home network. Hope this info suffices. Appreciate any guidance.
Problem solved. Saw the solution in a more recent post. Downloaded a free app, then all my other apps started to work again.

My ipod nano was working fine until i uploaded some new tunes today. It sync properly and once disconnected it just switched off and would not even turn on. I have put it on charge for a few hours but nothing happens, infact the charger is getting hot. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee help I need my ipod.
The backlight burned out from getting it wet. You will have to replace the screen at a 3rd party shop, buy a screen and replace it yourself, or make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store and do an out-of-warranty replacement for $199 USD.

I have Adobe Photoshop Album 1.0 & suddenly cannot send photos thru e-mail. It looks like it's working ok; but when I hit Send nothing happens and the program stops responding. Any suggestions?
I have starter 3.0 and cannot share pictures via outlook express. Evidently that version is discontinued and my outlook express does not support the MAPI that is required. I think the only solution is to upgrade to photoshop
elements or to send photos as attachment to your e-mail. I have the same problem using Zoom Browser EX sending photos via internet. I spent a whole day trying to resove this issue and have exhausted all options. Just like "Instant share" in HP image Zone that was replace by photoshop album starter 3.0 and now it is out dated. -

First, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes on your computer (11.x). If you connect the phone to a USB port directly on your computer (NOT to a USB hub) and it still doesn't appear in iTunes you need to troubleshoot iTunes.

And just what sort of changes in "appearance" did you expect?
If you can access the editing, conversion, and/or properties options once a file is loaded then the QT 7 app has been upgreaded for "Pro" use. -
On my touch I have an iCloud backup message asking me to check my settings, when I click on settings nothing happens and the screen goes black. It will not allow me to turn my touch on or off. What should I do to rectify this?

Some basics please, what vintage is your MBP, have you plugged anything else into the wall socket to verify that it is live? which light doesn't turn on, the charger or the MBP?
Hold the power button down for 15 seconds, wait for 2 then press it normally and see te MBP it turns on -

You can only sync with one computer. I would backup to one computer and then restore from backup.

it has been into recovery mode. connecting to itunes will solve your problem. if it didnt work connect it itunes and restore your iphone.

When I move a RAW file from IPhoto on my macbook pro to desktop or Photoshop it changes to a jpeg and reduces in size. How can I get the Raw file to move across?
I create separate folders based on the year and then the actual date of when I take images. You can make those folders anywhere on any hard drive that is connected to your Mac whether internal or external. I also use the Photoshop Photo Downloader that is included with Photoshop/Bridge and it will create the date folder so all I do is create a Year folder.
Open Bridge or click on the Bridge icon in PS and in the File menu item in Bridge select "Get photos from Camera". It can be a camera connected to your Mac or a memory card from a camera. A window will open and you then select the camera or memory card. Set the location they will be downloaded to, just the folder and you can Browse to a folder that you created, then in the "Create Subfolders drop down select what date stamp you want to use or or custom name or not to create subfolders at all.
I've never cared for iPhoto one bit. I tried it but found it way to restrictive. It likes to have full control over how you interact with your images.
