I just had my MBP replaced, and the new one buzzes when powered on aside from the normal mechanical noise its supposed to make.

Is this normal? It seem to be coming from the hole next to the cd drive???

Yes that is normal, it is just how they boot up these days.
However, if you do think that the buzzing noise is exceptionally loud then you might want to take it to the nearest Apple store to get it checked out.
Hope this helps,
