I just installed airport express now I would like to change the name of my net woerk
Hi there , I just installed Airport express and wpold like to change the name of my network , it took me long enough to install , do I have to uninstall before I cAcan do the name change, thanks in advance the woodworker
Since you indicated that you were using OS X (10.6.8)......
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on AirPort Express, then click Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab located under the row of icons
Edit the Wireless Network Name as you wish
Click Update to save the new changes
Allow a full minute for the AirPort Express to restart

My husband's password was used to download app. ( Extreme 777) onto my ipad 2. I have now changed the apple ID to my own, but I cannot use my $20.00 credit in itune on this app. It says app. was purchased under another ID and i must purchase app. in my ID. I tried going back to his ID to redemm $ 20.00, but gift cards were redeemed under my new ID, therefore leaving 0 balance under his ID. If I purchase app again, I will lose all current credits on this app. Anyway to change the name on original download or transfer credits to new app?. Thanks
Apps are forever tied to the AppleID used to download them.
You cannot use your AppleID to add credit to an app purchased
under your husband's AppleID. You must either download the
app under your AppleID (in effect starting over) or add credit to

Is there a way to get Outlook to sync to the calendar and then to my phone (iphone4)?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Yes I have received and answer. You cannot import your contacts or ical information into Outlook. You have to re-enter everything. It gets even worse.
With the newer Mac's, you cannot sync your iphone with Outlook. There use to be a way of doing this, but if you are running Yosemite, you cannot, so in
order to have the calendar information on your iphone and Outlook, you have to enter the information into both Outlook AND ical. -
I have started a podcast page where i will be uploading weekly radio shows. Id like for it to say my artist name not my real name under the Podcast Title but i cant seem to see how to change that. Can someone please help?
Thank you!Your name is normally carried in the 'itunes:author' tag and appears in smaller print above the title. You can change either this or the title itself in the same place in whatever program you are using to make your podcast and reupload the feed. You don't need to take any further action; the Store willn probably take a few days to update.
However, if you are going to change the title be careful: some podcast creatioin methods give the rss file a filename drawn from the title, and if you change the title it may change that. You can't have that happen because the Store will lose contact with the feed if its URL changes (there is a way round this which I will explain if you really need me to - do not proceed without checking on this). If your feed filename is something like rss.xml or feed.xml then there isn't a problem about the title. -
I have a Mac 10.6.8. Just installed Airport Express. I can't see any base stations. I did a hard reset on the Airport Express, turned off all devices, turned them back on. I see plenty of Airport networks in the neighborhood. How can I tell if I have a Mac problem or an Airport Express problem? Airport Express blinks Amber.
Obviously, I'm still using ethernet to be able to reply to this.
Alright, use the same ethernet cable to plug directly into the airport express. This will FORCE the airport utility to now see it regardless of weak signals & interference. You can set it up that way.
BTW, what is the original intent on the express? -

Since you have another Mac, you could share it's DVD drive in System Preferences > Sharing.
Then use Remote Disc found on the MBair's finder's sidebar. This will mount the DVD in your old Mac to the MBair.

I would like to know the name of the space ship 3rd-person shooter game pre-installed on an eMac.
Awhile back, I had used an eMac with a previous employer and there was a space ship 3rd-person shooter game loaded on the eMac.
This may or may not have been preinstalled. I just remember it being there when the eMac was purchased.

With green chroma concept, I removed the green background. Now the green background is seen black. I don't want to have any other background clip, but I would like to change the background black to white. Same like the advertisement clip in the Apple Website. Please help me.
If you want the whole of the project background to be white, you can change the colour in FCP X preferences.
If you just want white for a section or clip, use a custom Generator from the Generators Library and change it to white in the Inspector.

Hello, I imported song from a CD onto my Macbook Pro and now I would like to transfer the songs onto my IPhone 5. I can't figure out how to do that, does anyone know how I would be able to do this?

When you set up a Smart Playlist, it automatically populates the list with songs. You don't have to do anything. Now, you may not have set it up properly, meaning your set up fails to recognize any songs.
If you just want to put music in a Playlist, just create one, give it a name. Then drag the music from the "music" list to the playlist. It copies the information there. And when you sync the Playlist to your iPhone, all the music goes.
It's truly easy, but there is a bit of a learning curve until you're good at it. Keep asking questions here, everyone will help you. But do read the Apple documents, they lay out pretty straightforward.
