I also have a Wireless N router and the iPad connects to that but not the Verizon Wireless G. Has anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

If it previously connected but no longer connects try restarting the router. You may also want to try resetting the Network settings on your iPad +(Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings)+

  • My iPad will not connect to my home wi-fi network?

My iPad will not connect to my home wifi network?  I tried turning off wifi on the iPad, & turning off the device itself.  I also tried turning off my router.  Today I tried re-setting wifi on the General section of Settings.  Nothing seems to work.
This occurred on Sat. when I was trying to download books from a public library.  I lost the wifi connection, & it would never join the network again, so I told the device to Forget this Network.
I have another iPad2 which connects to my wifi just fine.  The iPad that doesn't connect, does connect fine to other networks.

Have you tried a Reset of Network Settings on the Device...

    Hi,
    Thanks.
I have tried signing out and in, still does not work.
Still just get the previously mentioned "messages".
I wanted to restore, but then you have to turn off "find my ipad/iphone" but this is not allowed, as I cannot connect to the itunes/icloud or app store. The units work with current apps. EG; email etc, and with apps that do not require current updates.
    Thanks

Any other options I can try????

Try rebooting the router. Just pull the power for a few seconds. No settings are lost.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

  • TS1368 My iphone and my ipad will not connect to itunes.  I believe this has started after the last i tunes update

when I try to connect to itunes I keep getting a message on my Iphone and Ipad that says Can't connect to itunes.  It connected before last itunes update I believe.  I had paid for a game and the game will not let me play it now.

You get this message in iTunes on your computer or on the iPad itself? Did you try quitting iTunes, and restart your computer?
I had paid for a game and the game will not let me play it now.
Not connecting to iTunes should have no bearing on not being able to use an app on your iPad - assuming that the app is actually on your iPad. What happens when you try to play the game? Did you try deleting it and reinstalling it? Did you restart your iPad or reboot the device?

  • IPad will not connect to public Free WIFI

I can connect to wireless router at home but can not connect to public wi fi.

If you can't get a signal, it means that you're not close enough to get the signal. Wi-Fi hotspots have a range of 150 feet, so if you're beyond that, you won't get the signal. This explains why it doesn't show up on your iPad. Please note that the Wi-Fi card in the iPad has a limited range, so keep that in mind when attempting to connect to any Wi-Fi hotspot.

i think the ios6 update has reset the networking but if you set up the router then you should not have the same problem any more.
