I just want to type on a plain piece of paper. I want to type several pages. I go to Pages and the blank paper has a text box around my type and only lets me type 400 words. How do I expand?

On the introductory window, also make sure you pick from the top choices under Word Processing - I just use "Blank". If you choose the Blank under the sedon set (page layout), you will have to get a text box. I use that setting if I have a lot of images I want to insert and then have text around/near the images.

When you're done with that page, it should automatically move to the next one or you can choose another blank page in the pulldown in the toolbar.

What is the image mode? Image > Mode - should be set to RGB
Do you have a B&W adjustment layer above the Type layer?

Since your device is so new, I can state categorically that this an issue with configuration. Delete the account that doesn't work, and enter the information anew.
If you're still having problems, check that your email address and password are correct, and if possible, verify it by checking your ISP's settings. -
when importing files into fcpx from go pro hero2, some are importing as .mov and some as .mp4. when making a multi cam clip it will only add one type, if you try and add the other it says camera clip cannot be processed. need to figure out why it randomly imports differently, or how to add different file tyoes to multi cam.
here is one that is imported and stays .mp4. the specs are same as original file before import.
here is one that has changed somehow during import. specs on original file are same as above, but once it is imported it changes to this in event folder, and others randomly keep the above specs. -
I just recently downloaded the free trial of LIghtroom 5. One day i was using it and it was on my desktop and the next day it was gone, almost like it crashed and will not let me re-install. Please help

Under Windows 7 you will want to use the Programs and Features Control Panel to remove your installation. I would recommend verifying that Photoshop Lightroom is removed from the list of installed applications. -
How do I fill and show/hide a series of text boxes based on checkboxes?
I have a series of checkboxes on a form (each of which requires some additional information to be entered) and a series of text boxes further down the page to house any necessary detailed information.
I have hidden the detail fields and coded the form so that for each of these checkboxes that is checked a row of detail text boxes appears with the checkbox title in the activiy type field, and if a checkbox is subsequently un-checked the last row of detail text boxes is hidden.
The problem with this is that if the user unchecks any box other than the most recently checked one the data for the option they just unchecked still shows, but the data for the last option they selected does not.
Does anyone have a solution that would make sure the detail fields for the boxes that are checked is displayed in the detail text boxes that are showing when a checkbox is unchecked, regardless of the order in which the boxes are checked/unchecked?
This is what my form looks like, with the example where Cash Withdrawals is unchecked but appears in the detail and Remote Deposit Capture is checked but was hidden with the last line:
The detail groups are named Act1.child, Act2.child, etc. where the description field (filled in the example above) is Act1.type, Act2.type, etc.
Here is the script I'm using on the checkboxes to achieve what I'm getting now:

Data for Control
There are four checkboxes: C0, C1, C2 and C3.
There is an indicator for each checkbox: CP0, CP1, CP2 and CP3.
If checkbox Ci is checked then checkbox indicator CPi has the value i+1; in other words, m(CPn) = i+1. If checkbox Ci is not checked then checkbox indicator CPi has the value 0; in other words, m(CPn) = 0.
There are four sets of detail fields: A0, A1, A2 and A3.
There is a detail fields indicator for each detail fields: AP0, AP1, AP2 and AP3. If detail fields Ak have the details for the checked checkbox Ci then APk has the value i+1; in other words, m(APk) = i+1. If detail fields Ak do not have any details for any of the checked or unchecked checkbox then APk has the value 0; in other words, m(APk) = 0.
The sets of detail fields are organized in sequence. The “top” or “first” set is AP0. It is followed by AP1. Then followed by AP2. The “bottom” or “last” set is AP3.
Consider an example with one checkbox selected. In this case m(CP2) = 3; m(AP0) = 3; m(CPi) = 0 for i=0, 1, 3; and m(APk) = 0 for k=0, 1, 3. See the following diagram too (see Figure 1).
Events, Processes and Additional Data for Control
Computation begins when a user event is captured by the system (such as a mouse up event in an AcroForm field like a button or a checkbox).
Checking Process
If a checkbox is checked (TNj), it is noted with an indicator (P0).
Shift Process
Given a noted checkbox, the search for a candidate set of detail fields to use for the noted checkbox begins.
The first candidate is the bottom of the sequence. This is also the current candidate, k. Thus k=3.
The current candidate is remembered by marking (TSk,j) the detail fields indicator (APk).
If k=0 then the shift process ends and the current candidate is the candidate.
If k > 0 and m(APk-1) = 0, the current candidate becomes APk-1 and step 8c is repeated.
If k > 0 and m(APk-1) != 0, then the shift process ends and the current candidate is the candidate.
Unchecking Process
If m(CPi) != 0 and m(CPi) = m(APk), then the checkbox can be unchecked (TRk,i).
Shift Process
If m(APk)=0 and m(APk+1) > 0 then shift (TSk,m(APk+1)). At the end of this shift, m(APk) > 0 and m(APk+1) = 0. Let k = k + 1.
If m(APk+1)>0 then repeat 9a. If m(APk+1)=0 then the shifting process ends.
Last Events and Proceses
Details fields can be initialized (TIk,j) and displayed (TDk,j) or cleared (TCk,j) and hidden (THk,j). These actions depend only on m(APk). However it would be a good idea to trigger these functions right after a shift process ends and on affected details fields.

I am just about giving up! I have upgraded Pages to 0.9 (4.3). Now when I copy text from an incoming email and paste it into Pages it pastes in as an Object and I can't work on it. It has a border round it and corner markers. I have never had this problem before. I have looked at every conceivable thing but cannot find how to get rid of this Object and just paste in the wanted text. If I fiddle and fiddle within this text I can eventually get a cursor and work on the text - but how on earth can I get rid of the surrounding box?
I don't know if this is at all clear but I can't think of any other way to describe this - but it looks like this in Pages with corner and top, bottom and side markers.

I have also discovered that I don''t need to hold down Option when I go to Save to get Save As - I can hold down 4 keys (shift, option, command and S) and it will bring up Save As!!

This may be a basic question... but in InDesign, how does one determine the pixel size of a text box? Specifically, we need to write text to specifications of 600 pixel width, and have no idea a) how to scale a text box to specific pixel width, b) how to determine what word count we can fit in, and c) how to do it in a table? Set your ruler increments to pixels Preferences>Units & Increments. You can fill the text box with placeholder text Type>Fill with Placeholder text and get a word count from the Info panel with Show Options turned on from the flyout.
From the Transform panel you can set a text box's width and height -

2 of my movies are no longer working in my iTunes or on my iPod Touch, One doesn't play at all and the other gets to about 29:00 than stops working and I don't want to buy them again. Then also when I added a non-iTunes movie and tried to have iTunes make an iPod/IPhone version it gave me error -4. What's happening to my movies?
I also have to add that the right earbud only doesn't work on my phone while i'm listening to music. If I'm face timing it's okay. what the heck.

I downloaded the latest iTunes software update and it properly installed. But, I cannot close the update window showing it was completed and the blue completion bar is full but cannot cancel or close it either. Any ideas on how to clear that out and close the window. Tried to quit on both the big window and the software update title in the menu bar. No luck.
Tried that by shutting down via the power button only as the normal shutdown was nixed by the open window issue. It did not help. Found a very similar question in the discussions and it recommended "Force Quit". That worked and the update works normal and the window is gone. Thanks!

I have just downloaded Mountain Lion for my MacBook Pro and now when my applications open they close and the error "This has just quit unexpectedly" message pops up. Does anybody know what is happening/how to fix it?
